Thacher Hall is a community space located in Yarmouth Port, MA. The building was constructed in 1870 as a church but is now owned by a nonprofit foundation and welcomes celebrations of all kinds. We love weddings! Thatcher Hall is ideal for those looking for a church-like ambiance in a secular setting. The building is one of the finest examples of American Gothic architecture and looks much as it did when it was built in 1870. The interior features high arches, beautiful frescoes, stained glass, chestnut pews and an original pipe organ. Bright and airy but with a cozy feel, the space is ideal for an intimate and romantic celebration. Our Audience Room, formerly the church sanctuary, seats about 130 people. There is even a large bell in our tower to ring after you've said, "I do." Thacher Hall is located in Route 6A in Yarmouth Port, one of Cape Cod's most scenic villages, which is only 10 minutes from Hyannis and Cape Cod Gateway Airport. We are surrounded by inns and restaurants that can help you plan your special day. Thatcher Hall is owned by the Yarmouth New Church Preservation Foundation, which is dedicated to preserving the historically registered former church as a vibrant cultural center.
