Thacker Jewelry

I recently came into the store looking to upgrade my wife’s wedding ring for an upcoming anniversary. I wanted to trade my wife’s ring which I purchased from Tacker 11 years ago towards a new setting and then use her Mother’s center stone in the new setting. After holding on to her ring for 2+ days for “evaluation” Thacker came back only to inform me that they could not offer any trade value for the ring. I will admit that this is a first for me, I have never had a jewelry store in which I have purchased a piece of jewelry fail to offer trade value for that piece of jewelry towards a new purchase. This is disappointing to me because I really valued Thacker’s reputation, and to me, the message is we will sell you our product for a premium price but it really has no value and we don’t stand behind our products. This is bad business!! I will tell you that I have gone down the street to two of your competitors and they were more than happy to offer trade value for the ring. I have selected one of those competitors to build my wife a custom ring. You’re Loss!!
