Chris is absolutely phenomenal! He did both our engagement shoot and our wedding day. We chose Chris because he understood our laid-back feel for our wedding and our desire to have more pictures of people in the moment than things like our wedding rings (though he did get those for coverage because he’s thorough like that). When we did our engagement shoot with him, we knew he was the best choice for us because he really got to know us and reflect us in his work. He didn’t try to take photos in the same spots he does every shoot, but rather kept things fresh by looking for innovative locations or styles that suited our dynamic. As a result, our photos feel unique while still benefiting his distinct style and caliber in his portfolio. On the day of the wedding, Chris had an assistant Seth, who was amazing and equally fun to work with. Besides the great professional chemistry they had with each other and with their subjects throughout the day, it’s worth noting their efficiency. Most notably, we started running behind during the formal family photos (through no fault of Chris or Seth!), and Chris was extremely efficient in getting everything back on schedule. Chris’s enthusiasm for photography shows in his work, and we are thrilled to have chosen him.

If you want photographs of your wedding that are each like a little piece of art, then Chris Sztybel is your guy. He really approaches every photograph with the sensibility of an artist, paying attention to color and background and catching unexpected moments. He took some amazingly beautiful photos of our day, which included a photo shoot of just the two of us in a NYC park followed by a trip to City Hall! Probably the best thing about him is that he couldn't be a more pleasant person to spend the day with, which makes a huge difference when you're in the midst of really special, intimate moments.

My husband and I had a small wedding in June 2012 at a bed and breakfast in Flemington, New Jersey. When looking for a photographer, we knew we needed someone special to capture the intimacy of the event and charm of the location. We were initially drawn to Chris by his amazing portfolio which, along with weddings, also showcased his versatility in beautifully capturing a variety of subjects.
