That's Dancing Ballroom

My husband and I went in last minute (for two lessons only) with Carlos before our wedding. He was able to teach us some basic steps that made our first dance simple, yet elegant. We are so glad that we came in. Carlos is truly an expert at what he does. Thank you!!

We started our dance lessons really late - a month before the wedding! The instructors at That's Dancing were great! They were able to pick out a rhythm within seconds of listening to our first dance choice song and had us learning moves right away. They planned the sessions accordingly and we managed to have a full dance in those few weeks! They were very good about coordinating schedules - we missed a session due to an on call schedule and they rescheduled for us without a problem! Carlos, the owner, even had our last session planned with him and did all the fine tuning, including tips on keeping our posture perfect. We received a lot of praise for our dance and we owe it all to them!

We purchased a package of 5 lessons to learn a Father-Daughter dance. We had our own custom music created to start slow and then break into a fast dance for fun. While Carlos was a good instructor, we didnt feel that he was able to help us deliver the results we were looking for. In all fairness, we didnt practice very much in between the lessons. However, the first two sessions were used up trying to figure out the routine, which I would have thought would have been created before we began. My Dad and I ended up scrapping the whole routine the week of the wedding. The only thing we used was the waltz, very basic steps that we learned. I would recommend that anyone who wants to do this plan in advance to practice and consider more than 5 sessions if you have a more complicated routine. We felt like That's Dancing was happy to take our money, but delivered a mediocre service to us. I don't feel like there was anything done to ensure we were completely satisfied. Rather, we were limited to the service we received based on the package we purchased. Overall, it was pretty much a waste of money.
