I can’t recommend this bakery enough, they go above and beyond for their clients. My husband wanted a very complicated cake for his groomsman cake and they did it better than I ever could’ve imagined!! The cake was delicious, moist, and is still talked about almost a year after the wedding! I got Mexican chocolate with cream cheese frosting and my husband got yellow cake with chocolate. I have dreams of this cake still and I love looking at how beautiful they were in the pictures!

I cannot begin to express the gratitude I have for the team at That’s The Cake. Their consultation process was easy and intimate, and they ultimately delivered our beautiful wedding cake to the venue, no hassle. Unfortunately, due to a not-so-professional wedding planner, my husband and I did not get a chance to taste all of the tiers/flavors of the cake or take any cake home on our wedding day. Fast forward one year later, I went into That’s The Cake to get my top layer re-made for our anniversary, and their team once again made us a beautiful cake, no questions asked. I am a forever customer!!

We used That's The Cake for our wedding and could not be happier with how it all turned out. They are a grandmother/grandson duo who own their adorable little shop in Arlington. I had let the initial quote expire because wedding planning is not my strong suit and Nancy was so great helping me get it sorted out. We set up a tasting which is held in the shop with Monte. He walked us through each flavor and helped guide us though the process. It was so much fun, like treat tasting with an old friend. He works really hard making cakes all day and we appreciated him taking his time personally to do a tasting. Some shops just send you samples and call it a day. We chatted about horror movies and sweet treats and it was great. We ended up choosing Monte's favorite which was an almond cake with a raspberry filling and it was a huge hit. Some of my guests who I would consider desert connoisseur's were particularly impressed. Side note: I really liked the Mexican Chocolate and Caramel cake as well but the final choice was left up to my groom. When discussing the look of the cake we let Monte know we were having a moody wedding and the florist would provide flowers. He suggested some black marbling along the bottom to glam it up and it turned out perfect. Unfortunately I was not on site for delivery so I couldn't tell him in person how amazing it was but I was truly blown away with how it turned out. If you're looking for a beautiful cake from a family owned small local business- hit up Monte and Nancy!

I cannot recommend this bakery enough! I had a specific request for my cake; I wanted a geode cake. When I saw the pictures, I knew this bakery would be a top contender. Our tasting was really fun and the cake was delicious! My groom wanted the Shepherd's Journal from Journey to Atlantis as his groom's cake, and Monte was able to make one that he loved. This is a fondant-free bakery, so even the details tasted excellent. On my wedding day, the cake was exactly what I had envisioned and I had several guests ask how it was possible. It was a real showstopper. The only thing sweeter than the buttercream is the baker himself. This is a family-owned business that I am so pleased to work with and would recommend to anyone. Thank you!

Our wedding was made a little sweeter by the creations and care given by this bakery. The tasting was so much fun for my bestie and I. From tasting to pricing everything was perfect. The day of the wedding the cakes were delivered and set up beautifully. White roses added in for extra pizzazz, and I was blown away when we walked in and saw both of the beautiful cakes sitting there presented. So many guests commented on the flavor of the cake and the icing. Both bride and groom cakes were marvelous. Love Monte and this family. Will use this bakery again for special occasions.

This bakery is amazing! They took so much stress off when I came in to order with my fiance, now husband. Staff is super friendly and they worked with me to keep my cake in budget all while still giving me everything I asked! I can not thank them enough!

I was beyond amazed with the service and the cake! We were having a hard time finding a bakery that had a GOOD gluten free cake. We met directly with Monte and he prepared some of the best gluten free cake we had ever had. He was able to meet all of our dreams for our cake. Being a same-sex couple, it was great to work with a business that supports relationships like ours. I would highly recommend and have highly recommended this bakery to everyone.

Anyone looking for a beautiful and delicious cake…Monte did a beautiful job making my wedding cake!!! It was beautiful and delicious strawberry cake!!! His cakes are so soft and moist!!! Ughh I loved it!!!! So if you’re look for a cake budget friendly look him up in Arlington.

We cannot say enough good things about That’s The Cake! We hired this vendor to do our wedding cake and they completely surpassed our expectations! The whole process from cake tasting to delivery the day of the wedding was flawless and a breeze. We got SO many compliments about our cake and lots of people asked where we got it/who did it. We even ordered more cake than we thought we would need and most of it was gone by the end of the night by guests getting seconds! This bakery is our go to now for all birthdays and special events.

Words can't express how much we truly loved our experiences! It started out with my AMAZING bridal shower cake. I had a Tiffany's theme and let me tell you...Monte knocked it out the park! The cake not only looked beautiful it tasted so delicious...I had none left to bring home! We also ordered iced cookies as well and they were so beautiful, I wish I had pictures of those. I had so many people asking where we got them from because they had never had an iced cookie so soft and buttery! We had to go back for our wedding cake after the first experience. Again, another home run. From the cake tasting to the actual cakes on the wedding day. We had to postpone our wedding from the initial contract date due to covid numbers rising and they were so understanding and helpful. Pictures don't do these cakes justice, not only do they look amazing they taste out of this world! Again after the wedding...we had none left over!!!

We had the best experience with That’s the Cake Bakery. Monte made sure everything was exactly what I wanted and that they got the correct shades of teal and coral. We had no issue with the delivery. We got so many compliments on how beautiful it was and how amazing the pink champagne cake tasted! It was truly exactly what I wanted!

Let me say this bakery really passed our expectations the cake they made for our wedding we chose different flavors per tier when I tell you each was so delicious. Our cake arrived with no problems and it was just exactly what we wanted. Monty was amazing (we had everything else done and had actually forgot about the wedding cake 😂😂😂 who does that) he took us right In and took care of all our needs ****love from the Ross-Bennet’s p.s. the name says it

We had three wedding cakes, styled to be naked, with each cake being a different flavor. We chose re velvet with cream cheese frosting, white almond cake, and pink champagne! They were all amazing!!! Perfectly moist and delicious!

I got an Elsa doll cake made for my daughter's birthday and the cake was just perfect !! Looked gorgeous and was delicious!! Excellent baking .. 5 stars for that.. all my guests particularly praised the cake and k refered That's the cake bakery to many of em.. There is scope to make it more convenient for ordering.. 1.online payment options could be expanded and made more convenient rather than phone booking 2. Online ordering would work wonders for business and customers ..! 3. Various hard bound or cardboard containers for all cake shapes and sizes would make it more travel-robust This is gonna be my go to place for all kinds of cakes now on...!!

I talked to Monte, one of the main people who work there, at a Bridal Show. My husband had been talking about a geode cake as a half serious/half joking idea of what he wanted for his grooms cake. I saw one on display at the show and KNEW that was who we needed to have do our cakes. I then tried the pink champagne cake and it was to die for. We met with Nancy, the owner, for two separate tastings and design sessions and we got EXACTLY what we wanted. The cake and the frosting are to die for. SO HAPPY.

I was down visiting from San Francisco and came upon this bakery looking for some cupcakes. WOW, all I have to say. I was super surprised because I thought I was going to get a simple basic cupcake to eat and I left with a gourmet masterpiece of wonder :) I love this place and the staff was helpful and fantastic. I will be telling my friend about it and if they are in the neighborhood, don't miss the opportunity of some real Texas baked goods. Marvin

These guys were so awesome! We had to have gluten free cakes, and they turned out SO GOOD, if a little dense! They were crazy popular and were delivered on time, and able to accommodate our needs for the gluten-free. Almond was delicious! The grooms cake decoration was gorgeous and up to par :)

I am gluten intolerant and allergic to many other things. That's The Cake had options that fit my dietary restrictions perfectly! We had them make the wedding cake and cupcakes for the guests. Both the wedding cake and the cupcakes were delicious! I was slightly disappointed in the decoration around the top of my cake as the decorations on the bottom were beautiful, but it was such a minor detail that I think it really only bothered me.

Our cake was amazing. The design of the cake was perfect and all details that we discussed were included. The entire staff was patient and supportive in helping us choose he perfect cake. We will definitely be ordering again in the near future

We thoroughly enjoyed working with Nancy and Monte. They were easy to bounce ideas off and create different designs based off photos we had seen. We went with a record player for the grooms cake which was a huge hit! The brides cake was absolutely gorgeous with unique scrolling on the different layers. While I heard many people raving at how delicious these cakes were, the best was a small gluten free cake we did for me. Absolutely amazing! Grooms cake was chocolate and peanut butter. wedding cake was white cake with white icing filler and we also had a yellow cake with chocolate icing. I had many friends that ate all 3!

We would definitely recommend That's the Cake bakery! They created our wedding cake and grooms cake, we got a lot of compliments on the decoration of the cakes as well as the taste. The wedding cake was also gluten free. Nancy went above and beyond!

I have a gluten and a dairy allergy, and Nancy made my top tier so that I could eat it, and the rest of the cake was regular. It was so nice to be able to eat my own wedding cake while still letting everyone who doesn't have allergies eat a regular cake! Both our cakes were delicious, and we received so many compliments on how moist and tasty they were. Nancy can do almost any design that you are wanting- we did a TX shaped cake with a BU over Waco, and a traditional 5 tier white wedding cake with floral piping. She also added fresh flowers to the cake for that extra beauty. Also, she made a special lavender flavored (not colored) icing for us that was absolutely to die for. I highly recommend That's the Cake Bakery!

I met Nancy at a Dallas Bridal Show in 2012 and knew that she would be the one to bake my wedding cake. The cake was the best I had tasted anywhere, and I didn't even want the fancier flavors or fillings. We went with the "wedding cake" flavor with vanilla buttercream frosting. We got so many compliments on the cake during the wedding. Nancy is even making us a (free!) 1st anniversary cake so we don't have to worry about keeping our cake frozen since we are having to move a lot in the next year. Overall, great cakes and I highly recommend That's The Cake for anything!

It is hard to find a cake vendor who can make beautiful cakes and have them taste amazing, but Nancy Jo did it! We went with red velvet cake with very classic white frosting and embellishments. It turned out beautiful! Many guests came up to me later to tell me how much they loved it. A downside is that the bakery is not located in Lewisville anymore, but Arlington (needs to be updated for this site) but the experience was great. We got a traditional wedding cake and a grooms cake. It was just right for our budget and a good value.

Nancy and her team at That's the Cake are outstanding and easy to work with. They designed my cake to match the dress which exceeded my expectations. The cake was not only gorgeous, but tasted amazing. The cake was moist and the icing was so creamy and rich, which is how I like it. Everyone at the wedding commented on how great it was and told me they had a second serving. Ha! She said she would make us a small cake for our one year anniversary vs. having to freeze our top layer. I thought that was a great idea and very thoughtful.

Our cake was pretty but the children said the amaretto cake was too soaked with alcohol and the tiramisu also had too much rum but the vanilla bean cake was excellent. I should have had more vanilla bean cake for the children at the wedding. Our caterers at the reception was afraid we didn't have enough cake because it looked small.

The cake was beautiful, it tasted very good, it was delivered on time and to the appropriate location. While I was planning everything with the caterer I felt like there were a little forgetful, and if I did not confirme everything multiple I would not have recieved what I wished. They seemed a little flakey, but came through beautifully and responsible. They were also very affordable
