The 1999

One of my husband and I's top requirements for our wedding was a good band - and we literally could not say enough good things about the 1999. From the first conversation we had with them, we knew no other band would top them. When we came to them asking for "a little Irish music, a little Greek music, wedding classics, and bar classics..but without it being too all over the place" they said "no problem!" And they truly went above and beyond with succeeding. Every conversation we had with Rob, Alex, Viana, and the band put us at ease. They are so educated about what works best for the wedding day timeline, how the music should flow, and how to keep the guests entertained/engaged while still keeping your music favorites and requests in mind. They went beyond their role of music with endless vendor recommendations and continuous support throughout the whole wedding planning process. They also provided us with an instagram reel the day after our wedding and an entire google drive of videos from throughout the night! When you hire the 1999 you're not just getting a band - you're getting a band, wedding planners, videographers, content creators, a support system, new friends, and so much more!! We are so so grateful to have worked with the 1999 who kept everything running smoothly and everyone on the dance floor all night long. We have nothing but positive things to say and have already heard countless positive reviews from our guests!

1999 Band was absolutely amazing! They truly brought our wedding to the next level. From the very beginning when we booked them, they went above and beyond to make sure our wedding day was going to run smoothly and exactly how we envisioned it. They were very responsive and even set up multiple prep calls before wedding day to find out what my now husband and I wanted as our wedding day playlist. I can’t recommend them enough! I had many future couples getting married ask me for their contact information after the wedding because they were that good! They truly kept the party going all night!

If only we could give 10+ stars…. The 1999 was the absolute BEST decision we made during our entire wedding planning process. Alex, Rob and Vianna are such an incredible team! From the pre-planning meetings to the day-of coordination, everything was seamlessly executed! Between the ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception, there is not a single thing that we would have changed. At our 200+ person wedding, nearly every single person (age 3-83) was on the dance floor for the ENTIRE 2.5 hours in a full-on sing-along. Weeks later, and our friends and family are still talking about how amazing the band was. Thank you, thank you, THANK YOU to The 1999 for the most epic party of 2024 – you crushed it!!!

Where to begin? The easiest decision we made while planning was booking The 1999 as our wedding band! I first saw The 1999 perform at Hurricane’s in Boston in 2019 and had the opportunity to see them play a handful of other times at Capo Basement, Nash Bar, and other venues around Boston. This band is high energy and knows how to get the party started! We love the 90s and early 2000s set list that really stands apart from other weddings we’ve attended and reflects the music we enjoy listening to with our friends. Rob had us feeling comfortable and confident in our choice from our first inquiry call, Alex (DJ) is a master at all things related to production and timeline, and Viana (female vocalist) kept the band organized on music direction and provided outstanding vocals all night long! Our guests raved about the music (and we knew they would)— we had a blast on the dance floor thanks to The 1999!

The 1999 Band absolutely crushed it and made our wedding night so special. They had the entire wedding dancing all night long and DJ Alex was the perfect MC. So many people came up to us throughout the night saying how blown away they were by the band. No need to look any further, BOOK THEM NOW!

I have so much to say and don’t know where to begin!! … After planning a wedding for 2 years if I had only one recommendation to a bride/groom.. I would say book the 1999 Live Band and everything else will fall into place. We truly had the best experience from start to finish with Rob and the entire band. I knew from the first call with Rob we had to book the 1999 live. We started off with initial timelines, flow of the day, music and of course the .. party! Throughout my planning phases, the team was there to answer any questions we had, this gave me complete trust that they would handle anything that came there way. We also were able to see them play twice before our big day… and that is MUST!! They are so talented and fun that Kenny and I, our family and friends have all become groupies! The team is extremely organized, and the planning that happened a few weeks before the wedding with Rob and team was seamless and stressfree (one of the few vendors that I really didn't stress about). We felt so confident in how the music and day was going to go. They also created some very special mixes for us. This is something we will remember forever! At one point Kenny and I said “no matter what happens that day… we know the band is going to absolutely rock it” This made use feel so good and relaxed going into wedding day. Our day was perfect from start to finish and I think largely due to the 1999 Live! Everything was timed perfectly, and we through the party of the year!! Every single guest was on the dance floor until the very end! We had so many guests reach out and say that may have been the best band they had ever seen at a wedding! I could go on and on but truly the core memories for us was the 1999 live band, Robs planning, Viannas Amazing voice, The dance floor, and the band solos during Revival! We have formed life long friends and I can’t wait to continue to see them at shows and other friends weddings!! If there is one thing you need to book in advance it’s this band, you will not regret it! <3

I am not exaggerating when I say I think this may be the best party band in state, if not the country. I mean, I have NEVER experienced a live performance as awesome as the one we got on my wedding night from The 1999. Shouts out to the entiiiiiire crew: Rob, Connor, Thom, Joe, Andrew, Viana, and J. I wish I could thank every one of them again and in person, just to get to kick it with them for a bit again. They're all such cool people, but on top of that, these folks are insanely talented. I think J might have done 4 incredible guitar solos back-to-back-to-back and my soul left my body for a second. Rob on drums makes me want to head-bang myself into a state of whiplash, and Viana's stunning voice had as dancing non-stop. And I mean NON-STOP dancing. The parents' speeches ran long, so these folks didn't take a break, NO downtime between songs, and provided us with the most high-octane 2-hour dance party ANY of us had ever been to. Every single person at that wedding was blown away by this crew. Rob helped us every step of the way with scheduling, organization, set lists, playlists, song cuts, sound setup, microphones, troubleshooting, and even emotional support lol. They even provided us with a stellar IG Reel the day after the wedding. I feel like this review doesn't even do this band justice. We are so eternally grateful to them and will be recommending them to everyone!!!

We LOVED the 1999!! They were hands down one of the best parts of our wedding and were incredible to work with throughout the planning process. Our dance floor was full the entire night and their Photo Booth was awesome too. Would give them 100 stars if we could!

From the moment we reached out to Rob he was professional, organized and enthusiastic. During our initial conversation with him, he constructed a timeline for our wedding day and helped us envision how the day would operate, minute by minute. As our wedding day got closer, we had some unique asks for the band. Not only did they accommodate, but did so with excitement. The band learned a song for us, allowed our cousin on stage for a custom solo, and was even OK with one of our guests coming up to play the drums. Rob and the band brought all of our ideas to life, while also sounding incredible all night. They are able to read the crowd and understand when to play slow songs vs. fast songs and oldies vs. new hits. They kept everyone of all ages dancing and having fun all night. We are so thankful that Rob and the band were able to understand our vision and help bring it all to life, giving us a truly custom and beautiful reception. I can't thank them enough and would highly recommend The 1999 to any and all couples in search of a DJ/band combo.

The 1999 is absolutely INCREDIBLY. Rob and Alex are so easy to work with and make the entire process seamless. They make sure the bride and groom get the wedding of their dreams and will go above and beyond to mix/customize/create songs that make that vision come to life. Not to mention the band is UNREAL. We had a wedding of 160 people and everyone was on the dance floor and we've gotten so many compliments about how great the band was. I wish we could get married all over again simply for the dance party that The 1999 brought. I cannot say enough good things about them and I could not recommend them more.

The best wedding band ever! Having live music at our wedding was so important to Derek and I and we knew during our initial conversations with Rob, that the 1999 band was going to be perfect. Rob, Viana, and the 1999 crew were so responsive and helpful during the whole wedding planning process. They helped craft our day of schedule and made suggestions where we weren’t sure what flow we wanted. Their expertise in weddings is very helpful and put us at ease throughout the whole process. Yes, their planning skills are amazing, but the best part was the party they helped us have - they listened closely to the music we wanted for the cocktail hour, dinner, and especially the reception. They put up with our must-plays, and kept the dance floor packed ALL night long. We had many guests message us after saying how great the 1999 band was! We cannot thank this crew enough and would hire them in a heartbeat if we had to do it all over again.

There are not enough words to describe how absolutely incredible this team is!!!! Rob, Alex, and the the rest of the amazing crew blew us all away and made our day more special than we could have ever imagined. Wow!! That simply sums up what we want to say about the 1999. They were absolutely fantastic to work with in planning the entertainment for our wedding. From the ceremony to the cocktail hour and the post dinner performance to the super cool Photo Booth — everything went as planned. Rob was very responsive and thorough during the planning process to ensure they knew the music that would best suit us and our wedding. The 1999 band and DJ were incredible to work with from start to finish! We were initially unsure of what we wanted/would be able to have for entertainment for our ceremony, cocktail hour and reception because we had some space limitations and budget restrictions, but Rob was able to clearly define several options for us that would work. He was extremely flexible and easy to work with, once we ironed out a plan that worked for us, Rob and his team handled pretty much everything from there to make our vision come to life. Leading up to our wedding day Rob was always available to chat if we had any questions or needed to iron out any logistics, he would get back to us faster than any wedding vendor I have worked with. The week of our wedding we had a check in with him and our DJ Matt Toto where we discussed every last detail from song selections, to transitions to speeches and announcements - they handle everything you can think of. The day of our wedding we did not have to worry about a thing besides soaking up the day and having fun with our guests. When we arrived at the venue everything for the ceremony, cocktail hour and reception was perfectly set up, the acoustic band was already playing, and we knew it would be the perfect evening. Rob and Matt handled it all, there was not a single mix up or technical issue from introductions, timing or anything that can typically go wrong with entertainment. Our ceremony music was executed exactly as we envisioned, the acoustic cocktail our was more beautiful than we could have imagined, and we danced the night away with our guests and DJ Matt. The cherry on top was the highlight reel of the evening that Rob and his team put together and shared with us on Instagram THE NEXT MORNING! We absolutely loved everything about our experience with the 1999 Band and DJ and highly recommend to anyone planning a wedding or special event!

OMG -- the best band, DJ, and planner ever. Everything from our first call and meeting them at a club to planning, collaborating and partying was perfect. We couldn't have asked for better partners in our wedding planning. Alex and Rob made everything so easy, seamless, and fun (even though wedding planning can be stressful). We both felt like they were always in our corner. And let's talk about the DANCE PARTY -- I don't think we've ever seen a dance floor like that. It was packed from beginning to end with an incredible song list and energy. WOW, WOW, WOW... if you're looking for the perfect band and DJ, hire The 1999 immediately!

The 1999 is the BEST. BAND. EVER. It's 5 weeks later and our friends and family are still talking about our party. Of course we had our favorite venue but all the details Rob and Alex managed behind the scenes made our dream a reality. First of all, the band is insane. The guitarist played a few solos from the center of the dance floor. The singers harmonize perfectly. DJ Alex made all our intros so fun and was seamless with the song transitions. They played a huge variety of stuff from Tom Petty to Jimmy Eat World (our fav!). The music was perfect all night!!! But the big value we didn't know we'd be getting was their day-of coordination and management. Having a team that's knowledgable (and cares!!!) made our wedding stress-free. They literally ran the show and coordinated with all the other vendors and that was invaluable. If anyone's reading this trying to figure out if The 1999 is right for them .... HIRE NOW. You'll have the 2nd best party of the year (ours is #1!).

Where do we start with this review! We had the best experience with Rob, Alex and the whole 1999 team. They completely exceeded our expectations and helped make our wedding day the BEST, most EPIC day of our lives! From our first phone call with Rob one year before our wedding day to the final song of the night, the 1999 was there for us. The 1999 team is professional, personable and they truly make it their top priority to make your wedding day dreams become a reality. During one of our phone calls we discussed how John, my now husband, is a guitarist. Rob and Alex helped us pull off the best surprise for our guests by pulling John and two of his friends up to play with the band! I even hopped up with them at one point to play tambourine LOL! It was awesome and legendary! The 1999 made every request we threw at them happen (even changing ceremony songs the day before!), answered every question we had and every time we needed suggestions, the 1999 was there for us! They made recommendations as fit and even sent us sample playlists to help us figure out the vibe we were going for during our ceremony and cocktail hour. They provided us with a planning sheet and helped us make our wedding day timeline. The 1999 even surprised us with an awesome video the day after our wedding which was so thoughtful. Not only did we have the best night of our lives as the bride and groom, but our friends and family haven’t stopped talking about how great, engaging and fun our band was! We could go on and on about how awesome the 1999 is, but I will leave it at this; If you want a band/dj combo that will MAKE your wedding day, reach out to the 1999 immediately! We wish that we could go higher than 5 stars. We hired The 1999 for our wedding, and recommend everyone do the same. From our first conversation to the end of our night, they were incredible to work with. Most importantly, our wedding day was flawless. Sound during the ceremony, DJ music during cocktail hour, dinner, and dances were exactly what we hoped for. Once the band started playing, everyone was out of their seats dancing, and most of our guests went out of their way to say it was the best wedding band they'd ever seen. They made it an incredible party. The band went far out of their way to make the night special, from learning new songs to altering song lyrics to some last minute requests. We could write 5 more paragraphs about our experience. You will not find a better wedding band/DJ.

The 1999 exceeded all of our expectations--they turned out to be so much more than just a wedding band! Alex and Rob not only coordinated the musical aspects of the night, they also partnered closely with us to plan and pace our ENTIRE event. They were super professional, really fun to work with, and their experience with weddings was absolutely invaluable. We gave them some minimal guidance for the music/vibe and they took care of every moment from the ceremony to the cocktail hour, dinner, and the reception. Our guests are STILL talking about how good the music was and how much fun they had on the dance floor! Could not recommend more highly.

What can we say? The 1999 absolutely knocked it out of the park. Alex, Rob, and Viana helped us in every step of the process from timeline planning, choosing the right vibe/genres for every single minute of the event, to even taking special song requests and coordinating with all the other vendors. Rob, DJ Alex and team helped us come up with a seamless timeline for the day, kept us organized, checked in with us during the planning process and made sure we had all the details finalized before the big day! Their expertise is unbeatable. They may as well be wedding planners too! Close friends of ours played during our ceremony and the 1999 was so accommodating! I'm telling you they are the BEST. The acoustic trio for cocktail hour was beautiful and such a nice added touch to the day! And if you're not convinced yet.... The best part- The 1999 had the dance floor packed for 3 hours!! It was amazing and the most fun we have ever had!! The feedback from our guests at the wedding and for a few days following was unbelievable!!! Their wide variety of songs had guests of every generation on the dance floor at some point. We are still not over it and might never be. IT WAS EPIC! Do yourself a favor and hire the 1999, you won't regret it! They are kind, thoughtful, helpful and the MOST FUN! We will be following them all around Boston and keeping our fingers crossed that someone will hire them and invite us to their wedding!!!!

Rob and the 1999 crew are absolutely FANTASTIC - could not recommend them more!! Rob was so responsive and consistent in checking in on us leading up to the big day and very thorough about every detail - from timeline to song choices to rallying the guests to party! He was an immense help when we were sketching out the timeline of the day and he was always ready to provide suggestions and recommendations when we were unsure what the best move was. The 1999 was by far the best vendor we worked with when planning our wedding! The music was also unbelievably amazing. We had so many friends come up to us during and after the wedding asking us how/where we found them and how the band crushed it. They were so good at reading the room and were able to keep the energy HIGH. They also did a surprise live version of ABBA for me during my bouquet toss and all the girls went wild! And to top it all off, they have the BEST version of Mr. Brightside you will ever hear. Rob is an absolutely stellar guy and so personable, you really feel like you're working with your best friend. We wish we could have our wedding all over again just to hear The 1999 perform again :)

Wow! What else can we say about Rob, the 1999 and DJ Alex. They absolutely crushed it! Throughout the planning process, Rob was there to answer any questions we had, and was so professional. As the wedding got closer, we had several online meetings with Rob and DJ Alex to go through all of the details and timeline for our wedding day. We had some last minute changes for songs, etc, and it was no problem at all, they handled everything perfectly. The 1999 and DJ Alex kept our wedding timeline running smoothly, and worked wonderfully with our venue staff and other vendors. And most importantly – about the music! The 1999 blew us away with their set list, and had guests of all ages on the dance floor ALL NIGHT. DJ Alex did a fantastic job with cocktail hour, dinner music, and an amazing dance set in between band sets. They incorporated all of our song requests and are amazing at reading the room, engaging with the crowd, and knowing exactly what to play next to keep the party going! A month later, we still have friends and family raving about how amazing the music was. Our wedding wouldn’t have been the same without the 1999 and DJ Alex – they truly made the party! Rob, Alex, and crew are literally some of the most talented individuals we've ever met. Not only are they good at what they do but they're all genuinely some of the most thoughtful and caring people we've met. From start to finish working with them has been stress free and so much fun. Even if they had back to back events or entire weekends filled up that they're working on for someone else, they still make you feel like their number one priority. They listen, advise, but most of all they are passionate about what they do. Our wedding day was beyond perfect but The 1999 made it EPIC. They read the crowd and play all the right stuff. They made it so personal that in between sets they even would refer to stuff that had happened throughout the night or mentioned it later. So much we want to say and share but we know that what they did for us at our wedding was specially tailored to us and they'll do the same for you. From the ceremony to acoustic cocktail hour to the reception The 1999 brought their talent, passion, and expertise with them throughout the entire day. We also added the photo booth to our package and the attendants were beyond amazing. We couldn't speak more highly about them and just know that by booking The 1999 you will be incredibly happy with your decision as well. Where do we even begin?! The 1999 was amazing throughout our entire wedding process! They were extremely professional and organized leading up to the wedding which helped ease any concerns we had. Their knowledge helped us to plan other pieces of our wedding besides the entertainment. On that day they paid attention, even watching our ceremony and making videos! This group really cares about you and your dream day. We haven’t even gotten to the music yet- the place rocked! The combination of band and DJ creates seamless transitions throughout the night from the ceremony right through the reception. Our guests were all asking us about the 1999 and on the dance floor all night. They even made a custom track for my dance with my dad. We know that choosing the right wedding entertainment is so important and the 1999 is worth every penny! Book them! Go see them in Southie! Follow them on Instagram! 11/10 from us!

11/5 STARS. We hardly know where to begin - we are obsessed with the 1999! There's a couple things that people will remember from your wedding party for years to come, and the band is in the top 2 of them. The 1999 exceeded every expectation we could have ever had. As someone who had always dreamed of catching a ride to city hall - they completely changed my mind and now have made me want to relive this party 1 million times over. They were an outstanding band, a ton of fun, and picked up on the music vibe of our group INSTANTLY and rode it all night. I don't think I got off the dance floor once. We have received endless compliments (and even family members trying to recreate the set list) since our big day. More than their incredible talent, The 1999 was a huge asset to our day. They took charge from the beginning when we met as essentially additional coordinators and made sure the day went smoothly from start to finish. Even when our schedule got a little out of order with speech lengths, they pivoted in the moment and ended up playing a marathon set (without breaks) so that we wouldn't miss a minute of band time. We hardly had to lift a finger with music selection (or anything else). They were incredibly kind, down-to-earth, and a dream to work with. Just the right amount of organized and in-touch as they were no stress and left no detail/stone unturned. Maybe most importantly to me, we had heard from our other vendors AHEAD of our wedding date to tell us how excited they were to work with The 1999 based on both past experiences and their reputation in the industry. How they treated not only us, but their relationship with our venue and other vendors spoke volumes to me about who they were as a group. We wanted most of all our wedding to overwhelmingly feel like a gathering of our closest friends and The 1999 fit right into that mold. Couldn't recommend enough hiring The 1999 for your wedding unless you want your party to be lame.

The 1999 Live truly made our wedding perfect! They were very organized and made each part of our wedding run smoothly! I can’t emphasize enough how great their energy was and everyone had a blast!

The 1999 and DJ Alex and Rob went above and beyond. We connected with Rob several times over the course of wedding planning through email, text and phone calls. The calls became more frequent the closer we got to the wedding and they were so flexible with timing. I distinctly remember the time I had known that this band was different. On our first get to know you call, Rob could see my anxiety through the phone and that we were feeling overwhelmed and reassured us that everything would be fine and I had never felt more calm and supported. Normally you need a doctors referral and a copay to feel that relaxed. Rob and the band were there for us as soon as we started planning our wedding and essentially outlined our entire night for us because we had no idea what we were doing. They gave us advice on what they had seen work and what could work if we wanted the timing to go in a different direction. They never tried to steamroll us and advocated for us when our venue wanted to change something we had already planned. Our night flowed perfectly because of their scheduling and planning and all the secret stuff they did in the background to make it work. We asked Rob for 3 custom song edits (processional, first dance and mother son dance) and he offered up a few options and which one he thought could work best. On the day of the wedding, the whole team showed up early to get the lay of the land and practice. When it came time to jam, these guys were amazing. My friends could not stop talking about how great the band was, something about how at the end of the night the dogs couldn't stop barking. I have shy, older family members and they somehow were able to convince them to come out onto the dance floor. These guys are incredibly talented and passionate about their skills, and are just all around amazing. They did more than just play music at our wedding and we feel like they're already our old friends. Also, they have a sick phot booth!

The most incredible band and DJ + a three hour dance party. What more could you want? The 1999 are incredible musicians, amazing event managers, and even nicer people. When we first saw them in 2021, we knew we had to have them at our wedding and we're so, so lucky they were available for our date. They had everyone singing, jumping, and dancing all night to our favorite songs. Pair that with a serene playlist for ceremony, a smooth acoustic trio for cocktail, and a really knowledgable DJ with a TON of playlists --- they are the perfect package!

Rob, Alex, and The 1999 were unbelievable to work with. Beyond being incredible musicians, they walked us through every single detail of our celebration from beginning to end and had music playing every second of the wedding. Never a dull moment! The music was perfectly curated to match my family's wild energy and they were just so easy to work with. If you're looking for the perfect band and DJ, look no further! We are fans for life and are already planning to see them again this summer!

The 1999 is the perfect wedding band! Rob and his band throw one heck of a party. The dance floor was epic!! Beyond just the music, they were incredibly thoughtful about details and making it such a special day for us. The absolute best! These guys were so great to work with after postponing due to Covid and then a family health scare meant pushing the postponed date early with 3 weeks notice. A task the 1999 band and DJ Dimitri took on with such pleasure and made our wedding absolutely incredible. They were a dream to work with and made our day so special!

Trying to find the best band/dj combo to play your wedding?? You just did! Hiring The 1999 band to play at our wedding was hands down the best decision we could have made. I can’t even put into words how amazing they were. Our guests have not stopped raving about how much fun they had & how awesome the band was. Not only was their performance top notch, but they are all truly down to earth, amazing people to work with. They really do it all and make you feel at ease through the whole process. Rob ( the manager & drummer) is the absolute best! Our wedding got delayed a year due to COVID. Rob kept in touch and assured us it was going to be worth the wait. I’m a nurse at Boston Children’s Hospital and during that challenging year, Rob & his team took their hospitality to a whole new level. They linked up with a local restaurant (Dig in Boston), to deliver a full meal to not only the day shift, but to the night shift too. We were blown away by their generosity. They also linked up with Boston Children’s “Seacrest Studios” to record a song & video message to cheer up all the patients. Oh, and Jillian (the lead singer) sounded so much like Miley Cyrus in the recording that when they first tried to post it on YouTube, they cut their audio due to a copyright claim. NOPE, they are just that good. Alex (the DJ/MC) also killed it! He handled the ceremony, cocktail hour, & dinner music, played between sets & did the introductions. He linked up with our wedding coordinator to make everything run smoothly. He was honestly like having a bonus coordinator!! Choosing all of the songs/music for the entire day seemed overwhelming at first, but The 1999 made it so much easier. We gave them a list of our must haves and some general likes/dislikes… then we left the rest up to them & they did not disappoint. They knew exactly when to cut the first dance song because I told them how nervous I was and how awkward I felt!! They knew exactly how to keep it high energy and make sure our dance floor was full all night. They even let my Auntie Cathy go up and sing a song with them! I could seriously go on and on all day raving about The 1999 Band. They are so talented, so professional and very affordable. Definitely the best money we spent towards this wedding. If you are on a tight budget but want to have the most memorable wedding night ever… cut the flowers, cut the favors, cut literally anything and hire this band. I promise your guests won’t remember anything else. Rob, Alex, Andrew, Rick, Juan & Jillian— Thank you all SO much for making this the wedding of our dreams. We wanted a less traditional wedding band for our wedding. We wanted a band to give us the same vibe you would get out at a good bar with friends, day-drinking, having a blast. That is exactly what we got with The 1999! They were incredibly accommodating with requests and specialized playlists. Less Bruno Mars and Shout, more music that actually gets you rocking on the dance floor! Our guests raved about how fun our wedding was compared to most and we attribute that heavily to our choice in band! Highly recommend.

I truly don’t even know where to begin. The 1999 Live Band and DJ Alex gave us the wedding reception of our dreams. The only word that my family and all of our guests can use to capture the night is “epic”. And epic is exactly what it was. The energy that the band brings is indescribable, so much so, people were refusing to go to the bathroom or get a drink because they wouldn’t dare miss a song. They were able to create a setlist that met the requests of all age groups from oldies and classics to current. In our final meeting with Rob and Alex right before the wedding day, we were asked “would you guys want to go hard?”. In the moment, we were unsure how to define “hard” (meaning mixing in some rock classics) and now looking back- boy we went hard! Rob and Alex were beyond professional and organized from beginning to end. They were always prompt in responding to emails or questions and worked closely with us to tailor the night to us as a couple. This even included a special re-mix of the song “shut up and dance with me” (my mom’s all time favorite) to “shut up and dance with Jeanne” (my mom’s name). It was these small touches the meant the world to us. In addition to their professionalism and musical talent- they brought such ease to the wedding planning process- which any bride knows is not an easy task. They truly lived up to their motto of “you name it and we’ll make it happen”. They took charge in connecting and working along side with all of our vendors so we did not have to. Looking back on our wedding day it felt like the 1999 Live and Alex were guests of the wedding because of the way they were able to join the crowd in celebration. Our day would not have been the same without them and we cannot wait to continue to follow them in any and every upcoming show. My favorite line from the night is “If the bride didn’t crowd surf at her own wedding- did she even get married?!” THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU!

We hired The 1999 for our outdoor wedding with 200+ guests, and couldn't be happier with our decision. They helped with every aspect of coordinating the wedding and went above and beyond all expectations. Truly made it the bash we wanted and we wouldn't have changed a single thing.

Having The 1999 as our wedding band, was easily one of the best decisions we made. They were so helpful and professional leading up to our big day, and basically had the whole day mapped out for us. My wife and I literally didn't have a care in the world regarding logistics on the day of our wedding (let me tell you this is far more valuable than it sounds) because The 1999 had the whole evening mapped out. Now to the fun part of the night, the band/DJ combo was tremendous. I don't think there was a single minute of the night that the dance floor had any open space. They worked with us on what songs and genre's of music we wanted, and they certainly delivered. They were very engaging with the crowd, and it honestly felt like part of my wedding was a live concert. I would highly recommend Rob, Alex and the whole 1999 band to any couple that wants their wedding to be, what manyyyy of my guests called, the best wedding they have ever been to.

We are so happy we found The 1999. We first saw them at a bar in New Hampshire and decided we wanted to bring that same fun party vibe to our wedding! They played a lot of our requests and even catered to some older motown tunes for our older guests. Beyond their performance, they are so easy to work with and total pros. I recommend them to all my friends!

Wow, wow, wow. The 1999 was recommended to us by our friends who saw them at a bar in Newport, RI. When we contacted them, they set up a private and intimate showcase where we got to sit down with the whole band and their DJ and ask a million questions. They also played a mini set and took our requests LIVE on the spot -- that blew us away. When it came time to our actual wedding, they were so polished, warm, friendly but most importantly energetic and fun. We had a wide range of ages at our wedding from kids under 12 to our great grandparents over 90 -- and all of them raved about how great they were. They were able to play our first dance live which made for a really special moment for my wife and me. Couldn't recommend them enough to the next couple. They are an absolute blast!
