Like many other couples, we had to move our wedding date a couple times due to COVID and the team was very accommodating and flexible throughout. Between the gorgeous space and the helpful and organized staff, we truly had the best day. Thank you, Abbott team!

m hoping that by stating some areas that need improvement, the venue will make some changes -- the main thing being the exterior surroundings. The Abbott has several shipping cartons (due to lack of interior storage space) and a large dumpster in the parking lot in front of the entrance. These item are often covered in graffiti and while the staff tries to keep up with painting over it, it's a reoccurring problem. The parking lot is gravel, which can be very messy when it rains. Some of the furniture inside the venue is a bit worn -- especially coffee tables and high tops. For a luxury venue, it needs to step it up a bit. Maybe after the pandemic strife is over, these improvements can be made. Still, our reception was nice and everyone had fun!

was seamless. Our guests were very impressed with the venue and staff. We also had to reschedule our wedding a couple of times due to COVID and the Abbott was amazing to work with. They were flexible and made it very easy. I highly suggest the Abbott for anyone looking for an incredible venue!

, and still have room for guests to mingle, but this space made it perfect. Andrea sat down with us for hours to plan the layout, the timeline, the service and our special requests. The space is beautiful on its own, but after attending a few weddings there before ours I wanted to make sure ours felt unique to us and our vision. Andrea listened to everything we said and exceeded our expectations!! I was blown away when I saw our space and received so many compliments from our guests. The process was easy and fun every step of the way thanks to the team at The Abbott and I will always remember how beautiful it was!

een! The space is absolutely stunning. I am so glad I chose the Abbott for my special day! It was the perfect venue to hold my 350+ guests for my ceremony and reception! There was so much room for the guests to eat and dance without having to break down any tables, two huge bars, tons of bathrooms, etc. Not only that, but the Abbott team was so great and easy to work with. Kelly and Bre both made all my dreams come true on my wedding day, and answered any and all questions I had leading up to the big day! By the time the wedding day came, I was not stressed at all because I had complete trust in them! Choosing the Abbott was one of the best decisions I have ever made. I cannot recommend this venue enough!!

ntation setup, etc- all things went smoothly thanks to a thoughtfully designed space and Kelly's team. They were thorough to request our goals so we could all work diligently to accomplish them at the event. They made sure even the smallest details didn't fall through the cracks. The space itself combines a grandiose appearance with a somewhat intimate feel; their stock decorations were very elegant and contributed towards a "classy" feel without being stuffy. Chairs and tables appeared up-to-date and trendy. Bar and bar area is slightly separated which was a big help, but a secondary bar supported the main area when the primary programming began. All-and-all, we couldn't be happier with how it turned out. Bravo to Kelly and the Abbott!

r touring because we had a good "gut feeling" about the place and decided to take a leap of faith based on renderings alone. We made the right decision. The Abbott will easily become one of the best large-group vendors in Kansas City. When touring different locations, we were limited based on our number-- 325. Most other locations fit around 250-275 and those that could fit 300 would be tight. At the Abbott, we fit our group with a nice, big dance floor and room to spare. Another detail we appreciated was the number of bathroom stalls. I know this seems odd, but with such a large group we didn't want people to get stuck waiting in line. We were also drawn to The Abbott because of the feel. I fell in love the the industrial elegance and natural light. Every finishing touch fit what we had pictured for our special day. In regard to the bar, which is a part of the booking, we had a good experience. In the beginning, it was tough as they were new and still developing their alcohol packages. We were pleased with what they came up with. With the platinum package you get a lot of premium options to fit different tastes.The bar tenders were phenomenal and attentive. When people walked into cocktail hour, they had wine poured already sitting on the counter for people to grab. There was rarely a line all night. We had one more bar tender than they require and were happy with that choice. In talking with The Abbott after our reception, any of the small things we would have appreciated had been remedied. Again, one of the very few setbacks of booking at a brand new venue. Overall, we were impressed with The Abbott in all of our interactions. They made our night one to remember and we look forward to attending events there in the future.
