was the first vendor at our wedding, setting up and making sure everything would go off without a hitch. His interaction with our guests and other vendors was so sincere and cordial. The first thing my (now) husband said to me was that he had just met "The Acoustic Crooner" and "HE IS AWESOME" : ) We are so so thankful we had Tim play our first dance song and dinner music. It was one of the most special touches of our day.

We were lucky enough to hire Tim to play during our ceremony, cocktail hour, and first dance. Tim was extremely flexible with my schedule and made the time and effort to discuss the song choices and the timing of each song with me. I was having trouble deciding exactly which songs I wanted at one point and he when out of his way to play me a few examples to help me to choose what I liked best. He even took the time to rewrite a few of the lyrics to our song so that the songs fit perfectly to describe the love shared between my husband and I. Tim showed up on time, practiced and prepared everything we talked about, and did such an incredible job providing us with the best service we could ask for. I would highly recommend him to any bride or groom who is looking to make their day even more unique and special.

s extremely happy and excited but knew nothing about Buhl Mansion or planning a wedding. I went onto Buhl Mansion’s website and I couldn't believe how beautiful the castle rooms and gardens were. I was thinking about hiring a guitar player because the wedding would be small and intimate around 20 guests. Buhl Mansion sent me a list of Event Referrals for caterers, florists, photographers and entertainment. The first name on the list for entertainment was Tim Ruff the acoustic crooner, how ironic was that, so I clicked on his website www.TheAcousticCrooner.com and there he was holding his guitar. I clicked on his recordings and was blown away by what I was listening to, I knew then he was the one I wanted for my daughter’s wedding. Then I went onto the song list and was just amazed of the choices he had listed. I check You Tube and he was playing Marry Me by Train at Buhl Mansion in the Library and Parlor room. Tim gets a 5+ star rating from me because he totally exceeded my expectations along with my daughter and her husband and our guests. He is extremely easy to work with friendly and very professional and good looking. The quality of his music and performance was exceptionable. My husband said he studied opera and sang us a few notes, one word for him (amazing). He was easy to contact via email and or phone calls. Within a week of the wedding my daughter requested some George Strait, Jim Brickman and Safteysuit songs which he learned and sang beautifully. Tim provided us with over 4 hours of wonderful wedding entertainment. MY husband and guests said they could of listen to him play for a another couple of hours. I would highly recommend Tim for weddings or any kind entertainment. You will not be disappointed you will be blown away by his music performance.

Despite feeling a little under the weather and that his voice wasn't 100% (which you would never have known when you heard him), he powered through and delivered an amazing performance of songs, including several special requests that we asked if he could learn ahead of time. Then, when the storm arrived, he quickly relocated indoors to set up for our ‘captive’ audience. He entertained, assisted with announcements and watched for our non-verbal cues throughout the night. Even his adlib during the cake cutting was perfect! He was a hit with EVERYONE – especially the three music teachers in attendance. Finally, and most importantly, he was willing to learn a few, lesser-known songs for us. Not only did he pull it off, but they were absolutely beautiful. From our initial discussion, the planning of the music and then the final confirmation, Tim was not only professional, but a friendly and fun individual who clearly wanted to help make our night a special experience. It set the perfect tone to our celebration and we would definitely recommend him to others!

Being able to work with Tim to plan music for the entire day, including two different locations (Phipps Conservatory and the Hyeholde), made my experience completely stress free. From performing a beautiful acoustic rendition of Here Comes the Bride at our ceremony, to coordinating with one of our wedding guests to perform a piano/acoustic guitar duet to my husband's favorite song, Tim went above and beyond. All of our guests raved about how much they enjoyed listening and dancing to Tim's music. Tim contributed the perfect elegant yet fun ambiance to our ceremony/reception, and I cannot thank him enough! I would absolutely recommend Tim to my friends for any wedding or event.
