Tim was absolutely incredible. Heading into our wedding day we knew his music would be incredible, which it was, but we did not know how professional and engaged he would be. Tim was the first vendor at our wedding, setting up and making sure everything would go off without a hitch. His interaction with our guests and other vendors was so sincere and cordial. The first thing my (now) husband said to me was that he had just met "The Acoustic Crooner" and "HE IS AWESOME" : ) We are so so thankful we had Tim play our first dance song and dinner music. It was one of the most special touches of our day.

Tim is incredible!!! We had him play/sing our pre-wedding ceremony music and we received a ton of compliments from our guests! He set the exact mood that we wanted for our ceremony. He is flexible, responsive, professional, great to work with, and very talented. He was even willing to learn new songs just for our wedding! We would highly recommend hiring The Acoustic Crooner!!

I cannot even begin to explain how amazing Tim made our wedding day. He was so easy to work with from beginning to end and truly took such pride in his work. His voice and his guitar skills gave everyone instant chills and our family and friends couldn't stop talking about how much they loved the atmosphere his music created. We were lucky enough to hire Tim to play during our ceremony, cocktail hour, and first dance. Tim was extremely flexible with my schedule and made the time and effort to discuss the song choices and the timing of each song with me. I was having trouble deciding exactly which songs I wanted at one point and he when out of his way to play me a few examples to help me to choose what I liked best. He even took the time to rewrite a few of the lyrics to our song so that the songs fit perfectly to describe the love shared between my husband and I. Tim showed up on time, practiced and prepared everything we talked about, and did such an incredible job providing us with the best service we could ask for. I would highly recommend him to any bride or groom who is looking to make their day even more unique and special.

Tim provided more than just "great music" at our wedding... he truly lit up the atmosphere with his presence, warmth, and performance as a live musician/MC/late-night DJ! Tim was awesome to partner with during the planning process. He provided a huge song list to choose from and brilliant suggestions to help us cultivate the perfect soundtrack for our reception. He kicked off the first half of the evening by serenading the crowd with upbeat, familiar tunes. He even took the time to learn the song for our first dance and NAILED IT. Tim was absolutely fantastic! From the pre-wedding planning to cocktail hour singing to MCing all evening it was clear how much Tim cared about our wedding. The effort and attention to detail he put in added significantly to our wonderful day and we couldn't be happier with our decision to hire him.

Our wedding planning was all over the place, we went from a bankrupt venue to COVID ruining our second venue. The one thing that remained consistent throughout it all was Tim. We ended up having him play at ceremony and part of our dinner/“reception”. He was absolutely amazing! He definitely made the night. Our guests loved him and he was so personable. I would recommended Tim over and over again!

Tim was absolutely amazing! I originally wanted a band, but it just didn't work with our venue, so we went with a dj. However, I still wanted some element of live music. Tim was the answer! We were able to have live music for our ceremony and cocktail hour. Not only is Tim very talented, he's extremely professional, friendly and very responsive. Tim was also willing to learn new music and perform with another female soloist. I really can't say enough good things about him. So many of our guests commented on how great he was! We can't thank him enough for making our day so special!

Tim did our ceremony and reception and did a great job! He went above and beyond his job duties and helped us pick the songs. He kept my guests involved. It was an afternoon wedding and we weren't having any dancing. He did great to keep the flow going without being the center of attention.

Tim has my highest recommendation! He exceeded our expectations and made our day even more special! We met Tim about two weeks before our wedding with hopes of him being our musician for our first three dances. I couldn't believe how confident and flexible he was. He had to learn brand new songs for us in less than two weeks!! He came prepared to our venue with his professional equipment and worked closely with the DJ and venue before hand to make sure the sound was perfect. My dad, a musician still talks about the sounds quality:) It was perfect. His voice is out of this world!! We are SO happy that he could celebrate and be such an important part of our day. I get goosebumps just thinking about it.

We searched and searched for the perfect fit for our wedding day, from the moment I heard Tim's voice I got chills and just knew instantly that he was the one. Tim did an amazing job--he sounded perfect. By the way he played our songs, I would have thought he had known them his whole life!!! Our wedding guests were thrilled with the cocktail hour! They commented “such a unique way to liven up the time in-between the ceremony and dinner.” They didn’t feel like they were waiting around for us to arrive which was so important to us! I cannot speak highly enough of Tim and his amazing talents as a wedding musician. From the moment I heard him play at my sister's wedding, I knew that when I got married I had to have him be a part of my special day as well. Tim is not only an extremely talented guitar player, but also an amazing singer/songwriter. His musicality is unmatched by any wedding musician I have ever heard perform! Tim played during our ceremony, cocktail hour and all of our first dances. The music he played was absolutely beautiful and I was told by several of our wedding guests how impressed they were with his talent! He made the moment I walked down the isle so special playing the song I chose so flawlessly. He was willing to learn new songs that I requested for the ceremony and for our first dances without an issue! It was so nice to have complete confidence in our wedding musician and he was able to set the tone for our special moments so perfectly. My daughter who lives in Houston Texas called me up one day to say she is coming home to PA in September to get married and they booked Buhl Mansion for their wedding. I the Mom was extremely happy and excited but knew nothing about Buhl Mansion or planning a wedding. I went onto Buhl Mansion’s website and I couldn't believe how beautiful the castle rooms and gardens were. I was thinking about hiring a guitar player because the wedding would be small and intimate around 20 guests. Buhl Mansion sent me a list of Event Referrals for caterers, florists, photographers and entertainment. The first name on the list for entertainment was Tim Ruff the acoustic crooner, how ironic was that, so I clicked on his website www.TheAcousticCrooner.com and there he was holding his guitar. I clicked on his recordings and was blown away by what I was listening to, I knew then he was the one I wanted for my daughter’s wedding. Then I went onto the song list and was just amazed of the choices he had listed. I check You Tube and he was playing Marry Me by Train at Buhl Mansion in the Library and Parlor room. Tim gets a 5+ star rating from me because he totally exceeded my expectations along with my daughter and her husband and our guests. He is extremely easy to work with friendly and very professional and good looking. The quality of his music and performance was exceptionable. My husband said he studied opera and sang us a few notes, one word for him (amazing). He was easy to contact via email and or phone calls. Within a week of the wedding my daughter requested some George Strait, Jim Brickman and Safteysuit songs which he learned and sang beautifully. Tim provided us with over 4 hours of wonderful wedding entertainment. MY husband and guests said they could of listen to him play for a another couple of hours. I would highly recommend Tim for weddings or any kind entertainment. You will not be disappointed you will be blown away by his music performance.

While we were unfortunately not present for the cocktail hour, Tim's performance during the ceremony was excellent! We've heard nothing but good things from our guests, who were fortunate enough to enjoy drinks and music from Mr. Ruff. Our 1 1/2 year-old niece was especially captivated by the musician and his melodies! Tim was professional, he presented a beautiful mood for our wedding ceremony, and entertained our guests wonderfully prior to the reception. We would absolutely recommend him for anyone else's special day!

Deciding to have Tim/The Acoustic Crooner perform at our wedding was the easiest and best decision. We knew as soon as we heard him sing that we wanted him at our wedding. Tim more than exceeded our expectations. Despite feeling a little under the weather and that his voice wasn't 100% (which you would never have known when you heard him), he powered through and delivered an amazing performance of songs, including several special requests that we asked if he could learn ahead of time. It was perfect from start to finish. Tim also was very helpful in planning out the flow of the day/evening. Tim is an amazing talent, an incredible performer, a true professional, and has a great sense of humor. We truly feel it was a privilege to have him as part of our special day.

While we were confident Tim would be a great addition to our small, family focused wedding…he managed to exceed our expectations. With a thunderstorm looming, he didn’t miss a beat when the decision was made to move the outdoor ceremony up – eliminating most prelude music. He rolled with it...making the transition undetectable to guests. Then, when the storm arrived, he quickly relocated indoors to set up for our ‘captive’ audience. He entertained, assisted with announcements and watched for our non-verbal cues throughout the night. Even his adlib during the cake cutting was perfect! He was a hit with EVERYONE – especially the three music teachers in attendance. Finally, and most importantly, he was willing to learn a few, lesser-known songs for us. Not only did he pull it off, but they were absolutely beautiful. From our initial discussion, the planning of the music and then the final confirmation, Tim was not only professional, but a friendly and fun individual who clearly wanted to help make our night a special experience. It set the perfect tone to our celebration and we would definitely recommend him to others!

I read several reviews online before choosing The Acoustic Crooner for our big day. I had confidence from the moment I spoke with Tim that he was going to be an amazing additional to our wedding day. Tim wrote my now husband and I a custom song. The first time we heard our song was on our wedding day. He interviewed my husband and I, separately and together, to get an idea of what to include in our song. Tim also made us a recorded copy, so that we can cherish it forever. It completely blew us away! Tim was extremely professional and super responsive through the entire planning process. He played at our ceremony, cocktail hour, dinner, and first dances. I cannot thank him enough for exceeding all our expectations. Don’t hesitate, ladies! The Acoustic Crooner is a class act.

Tim was the absolute perfect choice for music throughout our wedding day! From the Ceremony all the way through the Reception, Tim was fantastic. Working with Tim was so incredibly easy, and he was very accommodating during the planning process. He was open to all of our ideas for music selection, and was able to provide expert advice where we needed it. Being able to work with Tim to plan music for the entire day, including two different locations (Phipps Conservatory and the Hyeholde), made my experience completely stress free. Not only is Tim an incredibly talented musician, but he also flawlessly MC'd the entire reception. As the bride, I will never forget all of the special touches that Tim incorporated throughout the day. From performing a beautiful acoustic rendition of Here Comes the Bride at our ceremony, to coordinating with one of our wedding guests to perform a piano/acoustic guitar duet to my husband's favorite song, Tim went above and beyond. All of our guests raved about how much they enjoyed listening and dancing to Tim's music. Tim contributed the perfect elegant yet fun ambiance to our ceremony/reception, and I cannot thank him enough! I would absolutely recommend Tim to my friends for any wedding or event.
