Friend had her wedding here recently, and I’ve never seen an issue like this happen before.
When we arrived less than an hour before the ceremony start time, there were NO CHAIRS....
They apparently just didn’t plan on setting them up even though my friend used the money from their deposit for chairs.
When we called to find out what was going on, they told us they could give us chairs for the grandparents - what?
So, the groomsmen had to take one of their personal trucks over to the house and were given nine chairs for the grandparents. This left dozens of people just standing.
I would never, ever trust this group to fully set up anything after this. DO NOT HAVE YOUR WEDDING HERE!!!
Absolutely the worst experience I’ve ever had. The venue is beautiful but that’s the only good thing about it. We couldn’t do the rehearsal the day before the wedding because it wa...
s booked for another event. Which they do not allow you to or give you the option to book until 30 days before your event to keep it open for others to book them. The wedding pictures and set up were interrupted by prom goers taking pictures. Could not find any staff to keep them out or even help until the end when it was time to leave. The bridal party was blocked by a car from other people that were trying to take pictures as well. For the amount you pay to have rights to the grounds this is completely unacceptable! And the parking is terrible.
Wonderful place to have a wedding. It was a great experience
The venue was beautiful and the staff was nice to work with.
We had our ceremony and reception out side the mansion. Everything was beautiful!! We got ready inside and upstairs in the mansion. They have so many sites to choose from as well!...
Loved it.
I had my wedding ceremony outside the picnic pavilion, my reception under it and we also rented it out the day before for the rehearsal and dinner. I wanted to have a rustic chic w...
edding and this was absolutely perfect for it. It really was a dream come true. I loved the representative they gave me for the rehearsal. She was wonderful and very helpful but she had to go to another wedding so they had to give me another representative that wasn't as friendly but still nice. The grounds keeper was there when I booked the barn and was very helpful. The only complaint I have is all the rules including having no real candles or sparklers which is to protect the buildings since they are old. This can make it a little difficult but the price is great so it makes up for it. I would recommend booking it at least a year in advance because its price makes it get booked up quickly. Overall I was very happy with it and had my dream wedding.
We used the dance barn for our reception, and it is beautiful! We loved the atmosphere and that it was very affordable!!
The value of what you get for what pay is especially great. I rented the barn for a rustic wedding. This value was based on the price includes tables and chairs!!! The big negative...
or draw back I have is they need to make sure everything is in working order before the day of the event! I had several lights out and was told they would be repaired before the wedding and they were not. Also a bees nest was in the brides dressing room and caused it very hard to get dressed while swatting the bees....
I had my wedding in June 2013 at Allandale Mansion. The venue is simply breathtaking. I had my ceremony at the picnic pavilion barn, the reception at the dance barn, and got ready ...
inside the mansion. This venue was exactly the vintage/rustic look I was wanting! The price is great very affordable! There are quite a few rules about decorating, but this is because they want to preserve the beauty of the barns and mansion. All of the employees are extremely friendly and helpful. I would highly recommend having your wedding here! The only complaint have is they don't allow you to rent the wedding for an entire day you rent it for an 8 hour block and pay $75 for each additional hour. Overall though it's a great place for a beautiful wedding!
We got married at the Allandale Mansion. It is truly everything you need. You can reserve the mansion for the day (or there are 2 other venues on the property - the barn and pond) ...
and have a nice, air conditioned location plus an outdoor venue. Inside there is a grooms suite and bridal sweet for the wedding party to get ready in, a full kitchen, bathrooms, along with gorgeous historic paintings and rooms for food, cake, tables, etc. We got married in the garden behind the mansion and had our reception in a tent on the front lawn...we were there all day which was so relaxing an enjoyable. Everything was wonderful
The Allandale Mansion was the perfect setting for my November wedding. Beautifully decorated for Christmas it was perfect. The staff were very helpful and kind.
The setting was beautiful, but the allandale representative, Dora, that I made all plans with was rude and never available when called. She would always email back instead of calli...
ng. Allandale also only gives a 7 hour time block and insisted no more, no less unless pay extra. An allandale representative is provided to let people in to set up at beginning of time block, help direct traffic and people to wedding area, and to be there also if needed anything and to make sure decorations were used without tacts, tape due to historic site ( also act as chaperon for site)...Well beware cause this individal was 30 min late, my people were carrying music and food over fences. They did not direct people or traffic, no one knew where to park. Then to top it off the individual disappeared for about 1 hour then shouwed back up with to go boxes and started filling them with food! When caterer ask about what was doing, the person got mad and left the boxes. I was paying them for there service because they had to be there due to Allendale requirements in contract and did not include them in the $40.00 per person dinner budget or whoever else they were taking food to. When emailed the main representative, Dora, at Allandale, since she doesn't respond by phone anyways, I told her about the Allandale representative that had to be there by there rules that caused more harm than good and advised break of contract and she didn't even reply. She could at least apologized.
