This hotel is an incredible value with a fantastic downtown location. The rooms were beautiful, spotless, and very comfortable. The pool was a huge hit with our family, especially because it had tubes and toys for the kids to enjoy.

makes this hotel deserving of five stars, though, is the people who work there. I travel frequently for work and have stayed in countless hotels over the years, so I know great hospitality when I experience it. Our family’s stay this weekend was made extraordinary because of the incredible team at The American Hotel in Downtown Atlanta.
From the valet staff to the front desk during check-in, Ray, and every employee we met along the way, we were treated with genuine kindness, warmth, and care. Everyone was personable, welcoming, and authentic—something that is becoming increasingly rare.
The real testament to how exceptional the staff is? My husband, who can usually find something to complain about wherever we stay, couldn’t stop talking about how wonderful everyone was. That alone says it all!
Thank you to the entire team for making our family weekend so memorable. We will absolutely be back and highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Atlanta!

Best location ever!
The rooms were clean, comfortable, and well maintained. The staff were incredibly friendly and made us feel right at home.

Disregarding the next-door guest who was repeatedly shouting in the corridor and in her room, it did not diminish our overall impression of the hotel. The room was clean, well maintained, and the housekeeping service was excellent.

lso has a lovely swimming area with a nice spot for both swimming and kids to splash and have fun.
The highlight of our stay was the exceptional breakfast service. Wendy, Shawn, and Deran went above and beyond to make every morning enjoyable. Their friendliness, professionalism, and attention to detail truly made us feel welcome.
Overall, we had a wonderful experience and would highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a comfortable stay with outstanding service.
