What an incredible and unique wedding venue! Everything was absolutely perfect, the vibes were truly magical, communication was seamless, and a TIME was had! Such a special place to celebrate a wedding, and everything came together beautifully. Couldn’t have asked for a better experience!
This venue is a control freak’s DREAM! Seriously, if you're someone who wants to plan your wedding exactly how you envision it, this is the place for you!
We wanted to handpick all of our vendors, have an open bar that didn't break the bank, bring in a live band, and throw one heck of a wedding without all the restrictions that come with traditional venues. The Anoka County Fairgrounds gave us exactly that!
The best way I can describe it is like renting an Airbnb, but for your wedding! You rent the space, bring in your vendors, decorate however you want, throw your wedding, clean up, and turn in the keys. It's that simple!
It was honestly a breath of fresh air not having a venue breathing down our necks or telling us what we could and couldn't do. The fairgrounds staff was incredibly accommodating, especially considering we threw a wedding with 250 guests!
We held both our ceremony and reception in the Beer Garden, and flipping the space from ceremony to reception took less than 10 minutes! We just assigned a few friends to move the chairs to the tables, and we were ready to party!
We got to choose our own caterer, bring in our own bar setup, hire a live band, and even have a food truck roll in for dessert! No required catering companies, no preferred vendor lists we had to choose from, and no unnecessary restrictions.
If you're looking for an all-inclusive venue where everything is planned for you, this probably isn't your place. But if you love having creative freedom, want to make your wedding completely your own, and don't want to spend a fortune doing it, I cannot recommend the Anoka County Fairgrounds enough!
Our wedding was everything we wanted and more. It was truly the perfect day!
