d pulled pork BBQ, Roasted Chicken, Broaster style chicken tenders, Green Beans, cornbread, and Mac and Cheese, as well as sweet tea and water. It was incredibly delicious down-home southern cooking and everyone cleaned their plates! Not only is he a wonderful cook but he is also a great person! We met with him several times throughout the year and he was always a blast to talk to, was very flexible and easy to work with, and was patient with us as we had some last-minute changes to our numbers. Furthermore, he was very affordably priced! I researched a ton of caterers in the area and his pricing was some of the best we found! If you are in need of a shuttle or a wedding/rehearsal venue he has those as well! We utilized his shuttle services to get our wedding party from our shared cabin to the venue and back, as well as getting from their hotels to the mountain top venue and back. He was great at coordinating our shuttle schedule to fit our unique needs and left room for emergencies or last-minute situations. Both he and the other drivers had to navigate steep one-lane mountain gravel roads and they handled it extremely safely! It was a total relief to not have to worry about our guests making the trip. Additionally, John opened up a beautiful and private riverside venue in downtown Dillsboro called the Applegate earlier this year. Our original plan fell through, so we ended up booking the Applegate for our rehearsal dinner and we are So glad we did! It gave our guests a chance to see the beautiful downtown Dillsboro area and was a very peaceful venue where our friends and families were able to gather, eat delicious food, and play a lot of yard games. We were seated on the covered wrap-around porch for dinner but there is also indoor space for larger events and a large lawn and screened in, riverside gazebo. It is also conveniently located right across the river/bridge from Foragers Canteen (where we had our rehearsal dinner catered from) and Innovation Station and brewing.
