The rooms were very clean with a modern, updated interior that feels fresh and comfortable. One thing that really stood out was the true late checkout at 2 PM not the usual “one extra hour” most hotels offer. That alone made the stay feel more ...
relaxed.
The hot tub and pool were open and warm, even with 40-degree winter weather outside, which was a huge plus. The location is also super convenient right off the highway and close to plenty of great restaurants.
Overall, clean, comfortable, and thoughtfully managed. Would definitely stay here again.

Great front desk service for booking! I spoke with Randy on a phone call to book my room for an upcoming in two weeks. I was not an easy customer service case because I have very specific needs, and I insist that my expectations be met. Randy...
was able to give me the best possible rate to book my stay. His customer service skills impressed me.

Great stay! The only downside was the inside shower curtain was too short and getting water on the floor was inevitable. Hair dryer caught fire and started smoking. I called the front desk and they sent a cleaning lady to bring me replacement....
She had an attitude when she said 'be careful. This is a new hairdryer '. As if I purposely damaged the original one. It wasn't even a new one either. Side button missing and cord didn't retract. Other than that, smooth check in. Bartender makes a really good Old Fashioned. Premises were spotless.

Rooms were nice, clean and spacious.
Not enough towels in the bathroom!
Toiletries were those tiny, terrible, low end, no tell motel style, shampoo and conditioner with a cheap bar of soap that makes your skin feel uncomfortable.
The bath tu...
b filled up faster than it drained when I took a shower.
Hotel restaurant had good food and decent prices.
Over all a nice place to stay but for the price I’ve stayed at better. I would say this hotel is worth $80 a night including taxes.
Would have given 4 or 5 stars but the two most important things for a hotel to provide to its customers is a clean room and a quality bathroom and they only got the clean thing right.

This hotel is severely over valued.
-Upon arriving, the 2 night clerks were almost angry we'd arrived.
-The photos provided by hotel don't match the room. The room as a whole and the furniture are more like from a second hand store.
-The room h...
ad a lovely smell, like someone had used the bathroom and left it before we got in here.
-We had 2 small cheap towels that felt like they should be used for cleaning, not drying ones body after bathing.
-The housekeeping staff came and knocked on our door at 9 am. I've never stayed in a hotel where the staff knocked on the door that early for anything!
-Something in our room kept making load clanking noises all night.
This isn't a '3-star" hotel, this is more like 1-2. I've stayed in Motel 6 nicer than this. Advertise yourself for what you are.

everything was good till the checkout. I requested front desk if we could checkout at 1pm instead of 12pm. they gave us till 12.30. and then started knocking the door at 12.20 asking us to leave.

ddle East, pan Asia, Europe and North America all the time. Never I’ve witnessed such behavior even when I travel solo. Here, I was staying with two young kids and my spouse. so pretty surprising and if i may say, rude behavior.
the front desk staff was generally not welcoming but this last experience was really bad. I expect travelling to Dallas pretty regularly and like IHG hotels. but definitely wont stay here again.

The hotel was under construction so they had no restrunt. That was a reason we booked. The pool area was disgusting. I after a few minutes in the water we got out and went straight to our room to shower. There was nothing clean or up to code i...
m sure. The room just felt nasty the floor, couch, bathroom, and our bed. There was rat dropping inside the fold out couch. Our bed smelled like urine. I told the front desk staff about the urine and all she said "thank you for letting me know". This was at the top of my list of worst hotels we've stayed at.

The Lamar’s location is great, very convenient for getting to the stadium. The rooms are fine for the price, nothing special but serviceable.
The real problem is the key system. I had to replace my room key six times during my stay. Every time...
I returned, it stopped working. On the first day, I even had to rush back before the lead maintenance person left just to get into my room. Several other guests had the exact same issue, so it’s clearly not an isolated problem.
Most of the reception staff were polite and tried to help, but management clearly doesn’t care about fixing the root issue. Instead, guests are forced to walk back and forth to the front desk repeatedly. One woman working the morning shift on Monday, November 3rd, was especially unhelpful and dismissive, acting like it was my fault for keeping the key “too close to my belongings.” That kind of attitude is unacceptable when it’s obvious the hotel’s key system is broken.
The Lamar is fine for the location and price, but management’s indifference and that rude front desk employee made the stay far more frustrating than it should have been. This one star review is only a reflection of that single receptionist and management, everyone else was polite and friendly. Until they fix their key system and train staff properly, I wouldn’t recommend staying here.
