I had a different stylist for both of them back in NYC they could not stop complaining and comparing. They kept saying how come you can’t make me look like this to the poor stylist back home. They could not stop saying how Mia had also made them feel beautiful and her work was exceptional.

Although Mia is based in Kaui, after looking at her profile and how stunning and natural she made her brides look, I decided it was worth the little extra to fly her over for our Oahu wedding. Through all the changes that occurred due to COVID, Mia was super flexible, understanding, kind, and patient. She even decided to travel a day earlier than expected to do my hair and makeup for my wedding rehearsal after I had asked if she could last second. As Mia did my hair and makeup, it felt like I was talking to an old friend. She has this calming and humble presence about her that made me feel comfortable and relaxed event amongst all the stressful wedding planning. Come wedding day, I asked her to do a look that was different from what she had done at my trial. She nailed it spot on and made me feel beautiful which I never think or say. Her assistant, Caitlyn, was also very good and OMG hilarious! She too also helped to bring positive vibes into the room while everyone got their hair and makeup done. I would hire Mia for any event. getting ready solo. Mia came in and spent the full 2 hours with me for hair and makeup. I loved the natural look I got and the care, time and effort she puts in! We chatted away and also had some quiet times so the whole experience helped calm my nerves and she was great company to have! She's one of those people you just want to be friends with. I knew I needed to find someone that was talented, easy to talk to and fairly priced. She was super responsive and scheduled a trial to lock in the look, I couldn't have been happier! We booked her for Bride hair and makeup, 2 mothers and 4 bridesmaids and they made all of us feel beautiful! ff, Mia is super responsive to emails. I had a ton of questions, and Mia always responded with good guidance. Secondly, Mia was punctual (arrived 15 minutes early to set up) and came with print outs of the pictures I had sent her. Her level of preparation was very professional. Finally, and most importantly, Mia replicated the hair and make-up I wanted perfectly! Everything held up throughout the evening, too. Not only is Mia amazing at her craft, but she is also super sweet and calming (helpful on the day of your wedding!). So what are you waiting for? Hurry up and book her, as she is usually booked several months out!

at ease. I brought in a photo of what I thought was the perfect hair style, and she styled my hair even better than the photo! On my wedding day, she and her assistant showed up early (even though she was sick!) and worked their magic. Everyone was happy with the results. I got the airbrush make up and I'm glad I did; it lasted all night and I did not have to worry about it at all. And I loved my hair style almost as much as I loved my dress! Hands down, Mia is the best hair and make up artist on Kauai (and probably in all of Hawaii). I will actually fly her stateside if I have another very special occasion. Mahalo nui loa, Mia!
