The best decision we made for our wedding was hiring Ellie and Will! They surpassed all of our photography expectations and I cannot say enough about how beautiful our photos turned out. Not only were they soo amazing to work with, but they also listened to, and perfectly executed our vision. They made us feel so comfortable during our photos and also helped ease some of our wedding day nerves. I would book them again if I could and I encourage anyone looking for a photographer to book them too!

This amazing duo has an incredible dynamic that immediately makes you feel comfortable like they’re your lifelong bffs, even if you’re camera-shy. Seriously! They transformed us from “not sure what do do with my hands” awkwardness to “I’m on the cover of Vogue” poise in record time. I continue to use their tips for taking better photos! Beyond their warm personalities, they are also professional & dialed in to make sure everything is executed just as you envisioned. Don’t have a vision yet? They’ve got you too! We opted for the wedding + engagement shoot package (highly recommend). After the first shoot knocked our socks off, we fully trusted their artistic vision on our wedding day & things went so smoothly. We felt like we could be our truest, most vulnerable selves with them. Most importantly, some of my favorite moments of the entire wedding day were all Ellie & Will’s doing. One prompted a deeply emotional moment with my bridal party as we got ready with great reaction pictures. The other was an off-site adventure after the ceremony for just us (bride & groom), where they captured stunning, intimate sunset pictures in front of the Three Sisters mountain range in Central Oregon. Ellie and Will Asher are the absolute best. My husband and I got married in January, and we tried our best to make it our dream wedding with the limited money and resources that we had. One of the most important things that we wanted to get out of our wedding were photos to remember one of the most important moments in our relationship. Ellie and Will understood our vision, had such a great amount of creativity while working with us and took some of the most beautiful, emotional and impressive photos that we have ever seen of ourselves or of anyone else. Not to mention how comfortable they made is feel while taking pictures, as my husband and I are quite reclusive and aren’t very big fans of being in the center of attention. But the Ashers made it enjoyable! We are so happy with having chosen them to be apart of our special day, even though the wedding was a little,, unplanned in some areas haha. They totally understood us and made us feel so comfortable. These guys are incredibly talented and have an imagination like no other. We wanted cinematic, intimate photos of our wedding while also capturing the beautiful venues. We are amazed by their work, and the Asher’s work will live with us until we rest for eternity, and we couldn’t be more grateful that we found them.

Look no further for your wedding photographers. Ellie and Will are incredible at photography with an attention to detail. We loved their work and when we got our wedding photos back we were blown away at how well they captured the day. It’s been five months post wedding and I still haven’t ordered photos yet because I want to print them all. Not only that working with them was a delight. My husband and I got married last Halloween. We had to delay a year due to Covid, and Ellie was awesome about making sure that she could still work with us! The whole process of working with her and her husband was extremely easy, both Garrett and I felt extremely comfortable in their presence during the wedding, and they are genuinely kind and incredible people. I would highly recommend them! Our photos are beyond my wildest dreams of what I thought my wedding pictures would be like. I am so very grateful to have found them! Thank you guys so so much!

My husband and I truly could not have been happier with the work of Ellie and Will. These people were literally the best part of our day. Ellie and Will made us feel so special and so beautiful, it was the best experience ever! Not only during the scheduled pictures times, but throughout the whole evening, Ellie and Will were everywhere getting pictures taken and made sure to let us know about the gorgeous sunset outside so we could get some pictures. Will and Ellie also took time to help us out to get a question answered during our dinner when we were at our head table. They were more than just photographers, they were friends. I don’t think there are enough positive adjectives in the English language to describe our experience with Ellie and Will. From traveling to crazy destinations, working with us through COVID, and making us feel just so fricken comfortable at both our engagement and wedding sessions The Asher’s just go above and beyond for their couples. They work harder then any photo team I have ever seen and deliver the highest quality pictures. You can see and feel the passion and purpose behind their work and it is incredible to be a part of. I can’t imagine ever working with another photo team, these two kill it and if you don’t book with them you are seriously missing out on the best experience and photos of your life!

Ellie and Will were possibly the best part of our wedding and I absolutely recommend them without reservation. The Ashers were much more than just photographers for us. They brought so much enthusiasm, excitement, and love to our wedding that it felt like we had two more close friends around all day. Seriously-- they seemed like the most supportive and excited people at the party. I usually hate photo shoots, but they put us at ease and made the entire process an absolute blast. YOU WILL NEVER FIND A BETTER PHOTOGRAPHER! Ellie is not just a photographer, she's a cheerleader and an athlete! She will pump you up and make you feel like the luckiest most beautiful bride in the world. She will also RUN and JUMP to get those epic shots. She'll jump up and down waving a mushroom in the air to get that one kid who just wont smile to look at the camera. My photos are truly stunning. I was stunned. Best money I've ever spent. Best vendor I ever worked with. Also, check out her work... it speaks for itself. So artistic. I just could go on and on about how great these two are. My husband also loved them. Even my parents noticed how impressively hard they worked on my wedding day.

On both a professional and personal level there are not enough positive things I could say about Ellie and Will. These two are so warm and kind. It felt like we were life long friends from our first in person hello. They made us feel so comfortable, beautiful and sexy! It can easily feel awkward having your photo be taken. But they have such an easy vibe about them, it makes the whole situation so much fun. On a professional level, they were always on time, if not early, super prompt to respond emails, texts, and phone calls and they listened to what we wanted and asked questions to make sure they would execute it beautifully. They even helped coordinate Operation: Butters when my husband surprised me by having our corgi transported from Las Vegas to Portland for the wedding. They were just a breeze to work with. On an artistic level, let me just start by saying EVERYONE has been asking if our photos were done for a magazine. We had wanted a Vanity Fair/Vogue kind of moodi-ness and editorial vibe to our photos and, oh man, did they deliver. They were able to see our vision and they put their own twist on it and the photos came out so much better than we could’ve ever imagined. Ellie and Will are truly the most sensational wedding photographers. Not only are they an absolute joy to be around, but the photos they deliver are absolutely breathtaking. They are able to capture moments that are so special and unique and so different from any other wedding photography I've seen. They hype you up, make you and your partner feel extremely comfortable, and tell you exactly what to do to get the best images possible back. I. Love. Ellie and Will. Their vibes are immaculate, they communicate incredibly well, they are super accommodating, and they really bent over backward to get plenty of amazing shots for my husband's and my wedding. They work hard to hype you up so you don't feel so awkward and they do a great job of directing for those moments where you really don't know what else to do. They were so good to us and our guests! All of my family and friends were talking about how great Ellie and Will were at getting the guests comfortable in front of the camera. They are truly the best, and I am so happy to be getting our photos from them. From the first moment of working with Ellie and Will, things were fantastic. Prior to finding them we had booked with another photographer for our elopement who cancelled unexpectedly just weeks before we were supposed to get married. We were frantically trying to find someone to capture our special day and as soon as we found them we were in love. The beautiful stylization of their photos and ease at which they seemed able to capture such candid moments was amazing. Ellie reached out very quickly after us contacting them to arrange a phone conversation. She was wonderful and so sweet, she made a great effort to get to know us as a couple, our story and journey, as well as us as individuals. I feel like this was so important in helping develop that connection and feeling of ease of being photographed for individuals who may not be the most comfortable in front of the camera. We chose to get married at Smith Rock and Ellie went above and beyond and met us at the location prior to our elopement to explore the area. During the time between booking with Ellie and Will and our elopement, they were wonderful about reaching out to us and keeping us updated as to what to expect on the day of. On the day of our elopement Ellie and Will went out of their way to make it special for us and it was so appreciated! If you are at all uncomfortable about being on camera, Ellie and Will do an amazing job at helping alleviate that. They made it so stress free and really allowed us to focus on the moment and made it so comfortable. We were amazed when we got our photos and saw how they captured the day, our connection, and our love for each other. We are incredibly thankful to Ellie and Will for the beautiful pictures that we will treasure forever, and their kindness and effort to connect with their clients is unmatched. The best decision we made was to hire Ellie and Will for our wedding - you literally get 2 for 1 (which I HIGHLY recommend as they work together to get every angle captured and not a moment missed - even for a wedding with 10 guests). They're both not only incredibly talented and professional but so fun to hang out with. We had a micro wedding in August 2020 and Ellie went above and beyond, helping plan the entire day, you basically get a wedding planner + photographers when you hire them. Ellie met us at our venue (Arbor hills in portland) prior to our wedding date to walk us through the site so we could plan out the day. The day of couldn't have gotten smoother (even with the covid factor), we put our complete trust in Ellie and Will and didn't have to worry about a thing. They captured the entire day so perfectly and we couldn't have been happier with how everything turned out!

If you only read one line of this review, read this: our entire experience could not have been better. I’ve never written a review before and I don’t take a lot of pictures, but I think it would be unjust to not tell other people about how great both Ellie and Will are and how they made every part of my wedding better. It all started with our engagement pictures. In the car, on our way to take our photos, I definitely expressed some concerns about taking pictures in clothes that I don’t normally wear, in places that I don’t normally go, and then somehow come across as genuine. And by “expressed some concerns” I mean I threw a fit. We got out of the car and met Will and Ellie and they suggested we get some ice cream before we started. I thought this was for them to feel things out and make sure we weren’t lunatics but looking back, it was so they could understand what made us happy and understand us as a couple. In the short period of time we spoke, they were able to transform this experience for me into something truly genuine and enjoyable. I had such a great time and I couldn’t believe they had pulled it off. On the way home my (now) wife calmly waited for her apology and she definitely got one. As we moved into the pandemic stage of our wedding preparations, everything was changing so fast and so frequently. Honestly, we were having such a difficult time with our family and friends, people were making every step of this process more difficult for us. The two things we could rely on for certainty, stability, and some much needed positivity, were Will and Ellie. We nearly had to change continents for our wedding venue due to family illnesses and both Ellie and Will were as flexible as anyone could be. I can’t express this enough, no matter what was happening with the wedding, date changes, continent changes, COVID impacts, they were willing and able to work through it with us. After months of ups and downs, we arrived at our wedding day. What do you know, Will and Ellie came with their smiles and amazing presence and made everything better. They are so good at what they do. They worked so hard all day and took so many amazing pictures. The strangest thing to me is they did so without ever making us feel like there were photographers. I’m not sure how you even do that but hats off to you two. I know that I’m not saying nearly enough as I should. The best way I can describe it is this, my dad used to say, if you give everyone an easy test you never learn who your good students are. When you give everyone a hard test is when you really find out who’s who. I cannot imagine a more difficult test for Will and Ellie and I can’t imagine anyone handling it better. During the pure chaos of wedding planning, being able to rely on at least one part of the process to show up and exceed expectations is literally priceless. Ellie and Will, thank you both so much.

Absolutely the best wedding decision we made. Ellie and Will are more than phenomenal photographers. They were with us every step of the way doing everything they could to make our day special and make sure it was just what we wanted. They were responsive, flexible and supportive and their positive energy is infectious. With all the stress of a wedding, I’m so glad we had these two on our team. We are so grateful!

We ended up having to replan our March wedding three different times due to the pandemic. While I wouldn’t exactly call our engagement enjoyable for that reason, we were extremely impressed with the caliber of service we received from Ellie and Will. Every time there was a venue shift or a change in our guest size we were met with an eagerness to help and overwhelming warmth and support which meant a lot to us, especially since so many of the vendors we hired were really just focused on themselves and asking us for support for them. We have no doubt these two were also hit hard during Covid, but nonetheless they continued to put us first each and every time, even reassuring us our deposit would be transferred smoothly with each reschedule. Thinking about the photos we received, we feel overwhelmed with gratitude. The gallery that was created was truly a reflection of their love for their craft and their attention to their clients.

When I think back to my wedding, there is absolutely no way we could have done it without these two. They are the definition of above and beyond. Our wedding took place during Covid just after our state was shut down and I was completely beside myself with anxiety. Would my wedding have to be cancelled? Would I be able to have the wedding I wanted? I had no idea what the future looked like and I was at a complete loss. Ellie took the time to zoom call me (multiple times) and calm my nerves. She reminded me that everything I was feeling was justifiable and allowed me plenty of options on how to move forward. I can’t tell you what this meant to me and my fiancé. Going from being completely in the dark, to having hope and the ability to DREAM again is something you just really can’t put into words. After much back and forth we decided to move forward with our wedding two months later (with guest size restrictions) and I am so glad we did because it was better than we originally planned and I now wouldn’t have wanted it any other way. The photos that these two got on a small intimate wedding during covid have sustained us through the remainder of the year. Any time a day got hard I could look at my photos and remember that there is a slice of good that came out of this mess. We are so grateful we hired Ellie and Will!

It's hard to really put into words how incredible Ellie and Will are as professionals, photographers and all around people. I've never hired a professional photographer prior to my wife and I's wedding but I can assure you that we will be working with Ellie and Will for all of our special moments throughout life moving forward. They were consummate pros when it came to get all of the right angles, taking advantage of the lighting throughout the day and were the greatest hype man and woman we could have asked for on our special day. From the sneak peak we received, I can only imagine how amazing the full album is going to be. They worked the room like ninjas getting every angle and not being right in the middle of everything. Ellie and Will are absolutely phenomenal. I could not imagine working with anyone else for our wedding. Their photos are incredible and they helped the day run smoothly. They didnt miss a moment and now we can relive our wedding day whenever we want. Their photos are truly works of art!

We had an intimate ceremony and dinner party with about 10 of our friends and family this past July. One of our immediate concerns is hiring someone who was not only an expert at shooting weddings, but finding a couple who would understand our wants for not having anything be too formal or traditional. Ellie and Will took the time to hear what we had to say and really listen, and we felt that they were able to match our vision not only in the photos, but in our experience. One of the things that brought the most value was talking to Ellie about suggestions for photo moments. Even though we discussed exactly what we were looking for as an event very laid back and minimal in events, she understood that there were moments that I still very much wanted captured photos that were meaningful and told me that we should still plan on adding "photo moments" to be a part of the timeline. This meant a lot to me that they cared that much enough to listen, but to also add to our day in a way I wouldn't have otherwise thought. SO grateful to have hired them!

We looked hotter than we are, our friends looked cooler than they are, and our family looked normal. We call that working miracles. These two are really special. From the first time we met them, it felt like we were old friends. Ellie brings so much energy and Will is the calming force of their super duo. Having that comfort with them made things so easy for us to be in front of the camera (something we usually avoid). They understood from our first meeting (engagement pics) what we were trying to do with our camp-vibes wedding and were able to complement our vision by bringing their own expertise and knowing how to guide us and our rowdy group through the forest of the Olympic National Park. The photos that we got back were even more magical than we could have imagined, and there were LOTS. Somehow, the Ashers managed to exclude the uninvited and underdressed wedding-crashers and the uncles turned wedding-photographers. Instead, the gallery was bursting with goodness – detailed shots that we would have otherwise never seen or remembered, zoomed-out shots that captured the festivities within the amazing scenery of our national-park wedding and creative shots that captured our love and the overwhelming happiness we felt that day. I can't say enough positive things about Ellie and Will. They were incredible. They made us feel comfortable, beautiful, and fun at our engagement session and our wedding. Our photos are perfect. They're an amazing and professional team- affable, charming, and so organized.

We had a wedding photographer booked for our date before hiring Ellie and Will. We realized pretty quickly that the photographer we hired was not going to be a fit for us because we seemed like just another wedding. You could tell immediately on the first call that Ellie deeply cares about your memories by the questions she asks. I wasn't expecting to talk about anything other than the pictures we wanted taken, but she asked about my relationship with my family and what moments I was most excited about and it truly made me feel EXCITED to be a bride. On the day of we brought a pretty large shot list of family photos and we were worried about getting them done in time. The photos were done SO smoothly that I found myself having precious time with my guests that are now some of my favorite memories of the day. These two really care about their couples. They want to give you amazing photos, but more importantly they want to make the day about you. Highly Recommend!

Our wedding was a few years ago, but we cannot even begin to say how much we still enjoy our wedding photos. My wife and I spend most of our time apart due to work and finishing up school. Having our wedding album has been a critical lifeline for us as we find ourselves missing each other immensely and our wedding day, our wedding photos keep us going. As we find ourselves closer to the date where we will live together, we will no doubt be blowing these images up and we will be looking for every reason to hire Will and Ellie for all our future photo needs.

HIRE THEM. I can't stress this enough! Ellie & Will not only captured our perfect day, but they helped make it perfect! We live out of state and were planning our wedding from 600 miles away. Ellie kept in contact with me regularly 6 months before the wedding and went above and beyond to find out exactly what we wanted our wedding to be like. We had an early morning wedding and I arrived at the venue at 7:50 am. Ellie was already standing outside of the bridal suite, excited to see me and ready to go! Not only did her and Will capture all of the getting ready action, but they helped! It was super important to us to have the photos done before the ceremony so that we could spend as much time as possible with our friends and family at the reception. Ellie and Will made it happen, from making sure everyone was present, to directing us (because we didn't know what we were doing), to making sure we had fun in the craziness. I got a little sick during the reception (make sure to stay hydrated!) and they offered to go get me whatever I needed and checked on me. They exceeded every expectation we had, from their personalities, to their helpfulness, to getting our pictures much earlier than we expected! They deserve more than 5 stars!

We absolutely LOVED our experience with Ellie and Will!! We planned a last minute intimate ceremony in only 10 weeks and The Ashers were so accommodating and responsive to our needs. I really wanted beautiful romantic photos to remember our day and to share with our friends and family since we couldn't invite everyone, and I couldn't have asked for a better experience. Ellie's amazing communication with us had us thinking about parts of ceremony that we hadn't even thought of yet, so, so helpful! These two are professional but also so fun!! Their energy was both comforting and familiar, like they were old friends, and they made our wedding day feel so relaxed. My husband and I both had so much fun shooting our bride and groom portraits, it felt like a really fun date :) And our pictures are seriously the most beautiful pictures of us I've ever seen! We have been getting so many compliments from our friends and family! I would recommend them a 100 times over!

BEST. INVESTMENT. EVER! We wanted something different from the traditional wedding photos, and when we got our finished gallery we almost felt like we were watching a movie, reliving the best day of our lives. The photos were cinematic and had this surreal quality to them. The best part of our gallery? The candids. Oh my god. My husband (the one that never smiles in photos) was caught with most genuine smile in our photos! I swear I could not have asked for better photos! These photos are priceless to us and we are so grateful to them!

If I can be real honest, I was super skeptical that I would find anyone local here in Portland that would measure up to my standard for wedding photography, being a former wedding photographer myself. Stylistically I had seen so many photographers on instagram whose style just looked the same over and over again and I thought I would have to settle. I stumbled upon them just about 4 months before my wedding and I am SO glad that I did! Getting our gallery we got WAYYY more images than we were promised and we were blown away at the sheer attention to detail in our Wedding photography coverage. Moments that we would have otherwise missed we can now experience and value for years to come!

These two hands down were the best ever. I almost didn't hire them because I envisioned a style that was a little lighter and brighter for my day, but I am so glad I went with them because the photos exceeded our expectations and what they brought to the wedding day was worth so much more than just a gallery of photos! Will stepped in and helped the guys getting ready tie their ties, and Ellie kept everything on schedule. They were so fluid with the craziness of our day and they really allowed us to be present in the wedding day experience. Easily the best vendors we hired on our day! Thank you Ellie and Will!!

Six stars out of five! They were the best - hands down!!! Now that the wedding is over, I can honestly say from experience that there are two important things to be looking for in a wedding photographer: 1. Customer service and 2. Artistic quality. You just have to look at Ellie Asher Photography's IG handle for the quality. They go above and beyond when it comes to editing, location, etc. They have an eye for beauty and capture it well. Customer service, however, adds depth to their brand, which already stands out due to their wonderful aesthetic. We had a few photos that we thought were just a tad too dark (we did some experimental shots for our engagement shoot around sunset and they wanted to try some cool outdoor shots at dusk). When I reached out, they immediately told us to tell them which ones and that they would lighten them up. Throughout the course of a few months of planning, engagement shoots, and wedding shoots, I had a million questions and they talked with me on the phone, through text, and email whenever I needed help. They asked thoughtful questions about setup, timeline, and other logistical details. They were excited about our story and shooting and got us excited after long drives and sleepless nights! They were flexible with our crazy schedule (we moved across the country and finished grad school while planning a wedding). I asked for shot locations and they had a ton of suggestions throughout gorgeous OR/WA and they were open to any ideas we had. They were easy to communicate with and were able to grasp our vision and mix it with theirs to create some fabulous work. We received our engagement photos in record time and can't wait to have them all over our new apartment. On the day of the wedding, they were very good at time management, being a serene and calming presence, adaptability as the day progressed, and people management (very important for large group photos, i.e. family). Ellie and Will were really cool people on top of all that. I couldn't recommend these photographers more highly. I imagine that we will look back in a few years and realize we got really lucky to have them at our wedding because there will be a years long waiting list to book them.

What can I say about Ellie Asher Photography that does justice to what they do? Amazing, talented, attentive, joyful, and all around fantastic just are not enough to describe them. Let me start at the beginning with, I am the Mother of the Bride, which in the wedding world, can sometimes strike fear and/or dread in the hearts of vendors. I was also their coordinator and florist, so I had my hands full. Enter Ellie into my life! She made everything so easy, welcoming, and fun. More than that, she became my very own cheerleader! She is boundlessly cheerful, enthusiastic, and encouraging. She laughed at all of my jokes and I will miss all of our text messages which, let me tell you, were epic. My husband and I moved to the PNW, from San Diego, 8 years ago, leaving behind our adult daughter and family/friends. So, when my daughter and her then-fiancé fell in love with Cathedral Park, on a visit, and decided this was where they wanted their adventure as husband and wife to begin, I knew I was going to have a big job ahead of me. Ellie was there to run ideas past about photo sites and times, and didn’t hesitate to brainstorm with me about how to make it all happen, that had nothing to do with photography, for which my husband is eternally grateful (he really had to listen to a lot about colors, dresses, and flowers). She understood that my whole focus was making this day everything my daughter and her fiancé ever wanted, while trying to not overwhelm my daughter with too many wedding questions/ideas. On the day of the wedding, Ellie and her husband Will were everywhere all at once, but I never felt like they were taking it over. They knew right when to step in, and more importantly, when to step back and let us have real moments with each other, and still get the shots. They kept everything moving, even when we were waiting for all the group pics. They made it fun to sit and watch while they made whoever was in the picture feel like it was their moment to shine. To say I hate having my picture taken is an understatement, but Ellie made me feel beautiful and a little less uncomfortable about it. All of that is wonderful and I have nothing but happy memories, which would be enough, but then let’s talk about the pictures. They are simply stunning. From the small detail shots to the more formal pics, they are just breathtaking. What I love most is how they tell the story of the day. The moments of laughter and tears, a moment in solemn prayer, times of joyful dancing and laughter, and people just enjoying being together. The photos of the venues, the food, and bottles of whiskey are magazine worthy. When I look at them all I am instantly transported back to sharing a laugh with family or to a sweet moment with the bride. My heart just swells at the memories. That’s what a good photographer does they capture the day, and Ellie and Will did just that. They aren’t just good photographers, they are great photographers and even better people.

UPDATED: I am editing this review to include our wedding experience: Where to even begin with Ellie and Will? They are honestly the most kind, sweet, caring human beings you will ever meet. It was our second time working with them/seeing them (engagement shoot in 2019) and it felt like we were friends for so long. They were so excited to be there on our wedding day, you could truly feel it. I literally let them guide us throughout everything because I trust their vision. I am not someone who knows how to pose in front of a camera, but they know how to guide you - which I truly appreciate! Ellie and Will have an incredible positive energy - they literally hype you up during your personal shots with them. But they also know how to really blend in naturally with the entire wedding environment. There are some photos we got and I honestly don't know how they got those photos because I didn't realize they were there. They both work so great together, sometimes it's like they are reading each other's minds LOL! That's how incredible their work is. After the wedding, we had so many of our family and friends say how professional Ellie & Will are and how great our photos turned out. The editing that Ellie & Will do on the photographs are truly pieces of art. If you ever question what area in your wedding you should invest, definitely invest in photography, specifically The Ashers. Our original wedding was supposed to be in May 2020 and we literally had to change our date three times because our entire guest list was traveling. They were both so incredibly supportive and empathetic throughout the changes. We were just so glad that we were able to keep them as one of our vendors. The only thing I regret is that I didn't book them for the 10 hour package as we only did 8 hrs. So if you are thinking whether you need those extra 2 hours - yes you should. They are that amazing and I wish they could document everything in life! [March 2019] Ellie and Will are amazing! Since the beginning they have been so welcoming and truly made us feel like we have been old friends. We are still so grateful for their accommodation after we ran into some unforeseen circumstances. I had also been researching photographers for two months and was having a hard time deciding until I landed on their portfolio - they were exactly what I was looking for. We just did our engagement shoot last week and were put so at ease. I was nervous because I tend to feel awkward in photos and don't really know what to do with myself in pictures and loved how they directed us so effortlessly. It wasn't overwhelming, they knew how to direct us while still making us feel comfortable. I can't believe how fast the session flew by because we were having a great time with them. Ellie and Will have such a strong connection and work so well together it's great to watch and see their vision come to life. I can't wait to see the results. I'm sad that our wedding isn't for 11 months but we are so excited to work with them again! If you can book an engagement session with them along with your wedding day I recommend you do so, you will not be disappointed. HIRE THESE TWO! Ellie and Will were without a doubt the best investment we made in our wedding. They were extremely helpful on the day of, providing us insight when posing for photos would otherwise be awkward and weird. When we got our gallery of images they exceeded all our expectations! If I could give them 10 stars I would!

We hired The Ashers to do Bridal photos after our wedding because they were already booked for our wedding date, and this was hands down one of the best decisions we have made. The photos we got were absolutely remarkable and reflections of us at our best. We were thinking that it would be worth it if we just had one good photo of us, but we ended up with over a hundred that we turned into a book just of this session because we could not decide which ones were our favorites! We also have a few blown up on our wall!

OH MY GOSH. Honestly. I have no idea where to begin. We fell in love with Ellie and Will's work on Instagram. We live in Sydney Australia and were getting married half way around the world in Portland OR. Finding something as important as your wedding photographer and not being able to meet them until the week of the wedding, could be stressful however as soon as we met Ellie we just knew they'd nail it. AND they did! completely. You can tell this hubbie and wife duo are talented creatives (just look at their pictures) however what you won't get from their portfolio alone is just how much they will actually command your guests with easy, make everyone laugh, be ninjas at all the right parts of the ceremony, and corale everyone with just enough force when needed at all the other parts during your big day. I've never felt so beautiful. The guests actually LOVED them and are still talking about how great they were. They are super awesome and I would recommend them to anyyyyyone. and everyone. We just got our pictures back and want to actually print all of them out and wallpaper are apartment with them. LOVE LOVE LOVE.

Going with Ellie Asher Photography was one of the absolute best decisions we made for our wedding. We initially chose Ellie and Will because of their stunning portfolio (and they completely delivered - our friends and family can't stop talking about how stunning our photos are), but we'd recommend them even more because of how fun they were to work with. Having your pictures taken is never comfortable, but they're masters at getting you to relax and just enjoy the moment. It truly felt more like we were spending time with friends than with people we hired. And the results? Incredible. I've probably looked through my wedding photos a thousand times and still can't get enough. Thank you Ellie and Will... we wish we could get married again just to have you photograph it! <3

Hands down, the best vendors we hired at our wedding were our photographers! Will and his wife Ellie offered us a custom collection where we would be photographing our engagements, our first look, our wedding and our reception on different days, and each day exceeded our expectations. The thing that I was most impressed with in hiring them as our photographers was how easy they made the photo process. I do NOT like getting my photo taken, especially after a bad experience in the past, and I can say with 100% certainty they went out of their way to make sure that I was completely comfortable and reassured me that I was doing a great and it immediately calmed my nerves! I cannot recommend these two enough!

Ellie and Will were seriously INCREDIBLE. We were planning our wedding from a long distance, and we were so blown away by their professionalism even despite living states away. I live in Tokyo and I took on the challenge of coordinating a wedding in the U.S. Under this situation, Ellie made efforts to call me internationally to go through all of our schedule and her e-mail responses were amazingly fast. On the day of the wedding, Ellie and Will split up to photograph bridesmaids and groomsmen getting ready, and they coordinated perfectly to then meet at the wedding venue to take bride and groom “first look” photos, and then photos of groups. During and after the wedding, they took amazing photos that were so natural of each and every scene and interaction. Ellie and Asher read the relationships between people to capture sincere emotions. As the wedding was in a public park, they also captured breathtaking photos of the surroundings and the light and colors found in nature. We are extremely happy with the resulting gallery of photos and will treasure these throughout our marriage!!!
