First constructed in the 1900s, The Astorian was the headquarters of the country's leading automobile paint suppliers. Later, in the 1990s, artist David Adickes used it as his studio, where he crafted some of his most famous sculptures. Today, it combines contemporary elegance with historic features, offering a magnificent space for wedding celebrations of up to 450 guests. The venue was conceptualized and brought to life by Andria design to replicate the opulence of Grand Central Station in New York. This multi-level building boasts high ceilings, large windows, and glittering chandeliers that bring to mind the grandeur of times gone by. It exudes Art Deco style and sophistication by combining soft lighting, wood paneling, concrete floors, and brass and copper details. The designers have maintained many elements created by the building's original artists, including hand-laid mosaics, a 12-foot gold-plated clock, and the venue's oxidized copper dome.
The Astorian offers a selection of rooms and facilities for elegant wedding celebrations. Tie the knot in a ceremony overlooking the city, followed by a fabulous celebration in The Grand Ballroom. The events team at The Astorian is dedicated to helping you create your dream wedding day. They are highly flexible and offer customization throughout the planning process. Each couple is welcome to use the venue's mahogany Chivari chairs, ivory cushions, and tables to set up their event however they wish. The Astorian was the perfect choice for our wedding ceremony and reception venue. If you've seen the photos, then you already know it is a stunning choice for a ceremony and reception. From the very first interaction, their team demonstrated a professional, responsive, and friendly communication style that put us at ease. They were thoroughly organized and prepared to ensure our special day ran smoothly. We had a single point of contact who helped us stay on track with planning and hiring other vendors, without ever being overbearing. We highly recommend the Astorian!

Our experience at The Astorian was nothing short of phenomenal; from our venue tour to the wedding night, our jaws never left the floor.
First and foremost, the beauty of The Astorian speaks for itself. As soon as we stepped off the third-floor elevator we knew we simply couldn’t, and wouldn’t, be married anywhere else. The bar is set far too high!! We joked that we wouldn’t even need flowers or décor; the empty venue was more beautiful than any décor-filled event space we’d ever stepped foot in. We were tired of touring white barns and faux-luxury, open-concept spaces. We wanted to be married somewhere with a timeless and sophisticated, yet sultry vibe. The Astorian truly nails this understated elegance. We had so many guests tell us that the entire evening felt like, “effortless luxury,” or “the most elegant dinner party.” However, what was so incredible to us, is that despite the grandness of The Astorian, the vastness of the space, and 175 guests being present, we still felt like every aspect of our wedding (ceremony, dinner, and dancing) was unbelievably intimate. The staff shepherds it, the floorplan encourages it, and the speakeasy atmosphere demands intimacy.
But most noteworthy, our Sales & Events Manager, Courtney McCormack, was single-handedly the best vendor we worked with throughout our entire wedding season. Her value was immeasurable. She consistently went above and beyond, made a point to build a relationship with us, always reassured and reaffirmed us, and was wildly patient with our hundreds of questions. Communication with The Astorian was easy and accessible; we never waited more than 24 hours for an email response, no matter the question or request. Their prioritization of the guest experience is evident, and nearly tangible. As first-time wedding planners with no prior knowledge of the industry, Courtney led us patiently and eagerly through the process. With Courtney on our team, we knew our wedding night would be nothing short of extraordinary; she simply wouldn’t have allowed it.
We will legitimately be oohing and ahhing over our wedding day for the rest of our lives. At least a dozen of our guests confessed to us that it was the best wedding they’d ever been to. And we are keenly aware that The Astorian venue and team played a HUGE part in that success. The Astorian truly hosted us the wedding of our wildest dreams.

My husband and I got married at The Astorian in October 2024 and I cannot recommend this venue more! Aside from the space being absolutely beautiful, the team (specifically worked with Courtney & Rebecca) and staff were so incredible and helpful throughout my whole planning process & event. They were present and responsive in the weeks leading up to my wedding and super helpful during my final walkthrough with my coordinator. Throughout the entire night and even after, my guests were complimenting everything about the venue! 10/10 experience and would recommend The Astorian to anyone and everyone planning a large event!

Fantastic venue for a large or small Wedding & Reception. Everybody here always has everything for the entire event perfectly prepared well before any one starts arriving to set-up, etc. The acoustics are great and truly one of Houston String Music's favorite facilities to play.

The Astorian was our dream wedding venue and it did not disappoint. It is truly the most beautiful venue. Not only that, but the staff was amazing to work with leading up to it and the day of. They took care of everything for us and were so attentive! They have everything down and we were so happy with everything. Their level of service and communication was amazing – every single one of them!!! Our guests had nothing but great things to say about the venue and staff (& they are still raving about it)! Additionally, our point person Addie was wonderful to work with - she answered every single question I had (there were a lot) in a timely and happy manner! They truly made sure we had the best day ever. We can’t recommend this venue enough!!!

If you’ve seen all the pictures of the Astorian and are wondering if the venue is as beautiful in person, it is. Probably even more so. From the elegant bar to the dramatic lighting to the excellent view of the Houston skyline, the Astorian is all around gorgeous. It made the perfect backdrop for pictures for my wife and I and it definitely dazzled our guests. The Astorian staff were also very pleasant to work with, were accommodating to our requests, and gelled nicely with the rest of our vendors. The whole venue, including the bridge and groom suites, is very clean and comfortable; there was plenty of room to get ready in the suites before the event and to eat and dance the night away upstairs. The parking/valet situation may be one of the few drawbacks (and a very minor one at that) of the venue, but even then, the Astorian staff were willing to work with my wife and I to figure out an arrangement that was mutually agreeable. The venue also has an exclusive partnership for catering with Jackson & Company, and while that obviously limits options for catering, Jackson and Company was wonderful and has enough culinary variety to suit a wide array of palates. All in all, the Astorian is a magnificent venue with a great team behind it. Highly recommend!

We absolutely loved having our wedding at the Astorian! This venue has been a dream of mine for so long, and we were on cloud nine after booking. The venue itself is so gorgeous and has such beautiful views of the Houston skyline. Beyond that, every person we worked with was extremely professional and organized. We worked closely with Addie throughout the process of preparing for our day and she was extremely attentive, detail oriented, kind, and overall a wonderful person to work with. She made us feel at ease and helped our whole day go smoothly and even better than we could have dreamed for. Would recommend this venue to any and everyone!!

We got married in March 2023 and had our reception at The Astorian. Deborah and Co were excellent all day long! All of our requests were talked through and Deborah helped to create the night of our dreams. One of the most exceptional touches (there were a lot) was having full attention on my husband and I. Throughout the day and night we we're doted on and we loved the whole experience. We wish we could do it all again!

The Astorian was the perfect wedding venue for us! Everything from the bride and groom suites to the Houston skyline at night was beautiful. Working with Dani and Courtney made the process so easy. They were quick to respond to emails and we’re a huge help when it came to making the floor plan. They allowed me to take my bridal photos one afternoon while the venue was empty. I’m so glad I did because it was the perfect setting. Even without extra decor, the space is just beautiful. We keep hoping one of our friends will get married there so we can go back! We highly recommend.

The Astorian has always been my dream venue and to host my wedding there was exactly that, a dream. The team was so great to work with and Deborah made it such a seamless and enjoyable experience. They even assisted my caterers and decor team with the major room flip during cocktail hour! One specific memory I had was that Daniel and the team made me special non-alcoholic signature cocktails and provided zero proof champagne. It really meant a lot that I got to partake with the rest of my guests and my husband. It's details like that that you really cannot put value to. I can't recommend this venue enough!

The Astorian is hands down the most beautiful venue in Houston proper. The building, the fixtures and the acoustics were clearly very well thought out. Once you walk in, it is hard not to exclaim "wow." Further, its location is great and close to many of Houston's restaurants and things to do for out of town guests. This is what made us first fall in love with the venue and feel so lucky to have our wedding there. However, the real gems are the people who work there. Deborah is extremely well organized, responsive and is happy to make your vision a reality. On a personal level, I found her very easy to get along with and straight forward. She also thought of things we did not nor did our planner. Her anticipation of our needs was priceless. Also, Daniel, the bar manager, was very accommodating and even allowed us to come in for a wine tasting a few months ahead of time. He was very knowledgeable and passionate about their program. They were both calming wedding cherubs that made the process really enjoyable. The Astorian may seem like a place where you would have a lot of stick in the mud or inflexible lines you have to color in, but that was not the case. We were really able to customize everything to our needs without any issues. Another plus - it was a cold, rainy day (thanks Houston) when we were married and having the wedding party suites inside of the venue was a life (hair and makeup) saver. Deborah and Daniel made sure they were stocked with everything we needed for the big day. I cannot express in writing how easy they made the wedding planning process and how perfect our wedding day was with their help. And yes, The Astorian can be on the high end of wedding venues but - you get what you pay for. Moreover, since the space is already so stunning (we literally had guests come up to us with their mouths agape to exclaim this to us) we were able to save money by using less decorations. If the Astorian is within your price point, look no further. It is the best venue in Houston hands down.

My husband and I knew without a doubt that The Astorian was where we wanted to have our wedding. It is the most beautiful venue we have ever seen, and we couldn’t think of a better place to start our marriage! It combines timeless elegance with character and romance. You don’t need to add anything to the space if you did not desire because it is so stunning on its own. We love the central location, as we had many out-of-town guests in attendance. We had both our ceremony and reception in the same space. Everything transitioned smoothly and The Astorian’s staff was on top of it all. The wedding felt so intimate in the space although we had a decently large guest list of 250!
Deborah is exceptional. We truly feel like we hit the jackpot by getting to work with her! Her knowledge and experience are just spectacular, and her communication could not have been better. Our day went without any hiccups because she planned it out so well. Getting to know her during our wedding planning process was the sweetest unexpected gift!
My husband and I will forever be grateful to have had our wedding hosted at The Astorian. If you are considering having your wedding or event there, I whole-heartedly say “do it”!

The second I stepped into The Astorian, I knew it was my dream venue. I wanted my wedding to feel elegant, luxurious, and one of a kind; this venue is all of these things and more! My husband and I got married at the Astorian March 6, 2022. Many of our wedding guests said it was the most beautiful venue they’d ever seen, and I couldn’t agree more! The venue served as the most stunning location for photos. Not only is the venue absolutely gorgeous, the staff was fantastic to work with as well. Dani was exceptionally kind, accommodating, and made sure I had my dream wedding. I can’t recommend The Astorian enough!

The Astorian is truly a one of a kind wedding venue, the beautiful interior & views of the Houston skyline are amazing. I may be biased but it is unlike any other wedding venue I had seen in Houston.
Dani & the Astorian staff (especially the bartenders) were amazing to work with. They made sure our wedding day was absolutely stress-free, letting us enjoy our friends & family without worrying about any details. The Astorian is truly the BEST place to have your wedding. Dani and her team were an absolute dream to work with. From the first time we toured the Astorian to our wedding day, Dani was extremely easy to work with and very communicative. She is a very kind soul and truly cares about every detail. I truly cannot find the write words to describe our experience with The Astorian for our wedding. We feel so blessed to have been able to hold our wedding with this absolutely stunning venue. Our experience from the very beginning with the entire staff was superb. The entire staff was so helpful in connecting us with our vendors. I trusted every recommendation from Joe Pachouli and Deborah Rizzo, and both of their care and expertise was extremely impressive and appreciated. We were connected to our Wedding Planner: Kiran + Leigh, our unbelievable photographer: Aisha Kahn and the most superb catering company: Jackson and Company Catering and from the very first day in planning to the very last hour everything was seamlessly planned out and performed to give us and our family and friends an incredible experience that we will remember and treasure forever. Again, I cannot find the right words to express how impressed and deeply appreciative we are to be able to say that we had our wedding at The Astorian.

My wife and I were recently married at The Astorian. We could not have found a better indoor venue for our wedding. From the beginning, Deborah, the GM, made us feel like their best clients. She was attentive to our every detail and desire. She worked closely with our wedding planner and other vendors to make sure our special day was perfectly executed. The staff from Jackson and Co. Catering was superb, as well as the gourmet food. Even the owners, Joe and Romain, made themselves available and attentive to our interests. We feel like they are all family.

The Astorian is a beautiful venue of understated elegance, glamour and charm. Our wedding celebration there went off without a hitch due to the professional and highly trained staff. During the planning process, all of our questions and emails were always answered promptly and advice and suggestions were also given that proved incredibly helpful! We had to postpone our original celebration due to Covid so we worked with the Astorian for a long time! Our initial coordinator left the Astorian for another job but the transition was seamless, and we ended up working with Dani Collins. We felt an instant connection with her as Covid had changed her wedding plans as well. She totally understood our situation and managed it beautifully. We would highly recommend The Astorian. We could not have been any more pleased with how the evening went.

My husband and I booked the Astorian for our July 2020 wedding and cannot imagine a better experience planning with the Astorian. We worked with Dani, and she was just fantastic--such a prompt communicator, totally willing to chat with our parents directly when they had questions, and super willing to work with our budget and help us think through the process. Not to mention, Dani was kind, thoughtful, and very compassionate throughout an emotional and logistics-heavy planning process. She always followed up at the right moment, and we just love her! We both felt very supported by the Astorian team and they were committed to making it the event we had envisioned.
While we ultimately did not get to host our wedding at the Astorian (small backyard gathering instead), we had such a fantastic experience working with their excellent staff. This is so much more than an amazing venue. We would recommend the Astorian because of the fantastic people who were truly committed to working with us, during a year that was nothing like what any of us expected.

The venue is absolutely gorgeous. If you are looking to throw a once in a lifetime wedding that will impress your guests, this is it. From the second that you walk in, you can feel how special this place is.
The staff is on it. They are strict, but they take care of their building and you can tell how much they love it and treat it as if it were their own house.
Joe, one of the owners is so friendly and engaged. Alyssa is extremely organized and informative. I never had to ask her for a thing because she stayed on top of my wedding and all of the details that have gone in to putting it all together. She is prompt and always makes me feel like we are on the same page. She is someone who has set the bar high in my book. I cannot tell you how thankful I am that you have been so attentive and thorough with my wedding. I know that I am in good hands and that everything will be taken care of and executed smoothly between you and my wedding planner.
Daniel, who is in charge of the bar is also such a pleasure to work with. He is very down to earth and super friendly. He knows his stuff too. He was very knowledgeable during our tasting and helped us pick some fabulous wines for our guests! Really everyone that we have encountered in their staff has been awesome. You guys have really made this an easy and smooth process for me. Thank you so much for being on your A game Alyssa, Daniel and staff. You guys are top notch.

Season was an absolute delight to work with. She was extremely professional, knowledgeable, and flexible to my clients needs. The venue is gorgeous and has so many different design opportunities as well as natural elements that come with the space. The Astorian team was amazing every step of the way! They coordinated with our planner, designer, caterer etc. to make sure every detail was perfect, my husband and could not have been happier.

I held a fabulous corporate event at The Astorian in May of 2019, and I could not have been more pleased with my experience. Season was an ideal partner – incredibly quick to respond, always happy to talk or provide what I needed, and made excellent recommendations as I am not local to Houston. The rest of The Astorian team that I worked with once on-site was just as friendly, responsive and professional. I not only enjoyed working with them, I enjoyed just talking to them. It is clear that they all take pride in what they do, and in the beautiful space they have been entrusted with. When a VIP requested a specific bottle of wine 2 hours before the event, the beverage manager ran out to buy it for us. When one small issue did arise, Season handled it within literally 60 seconds, before I even had time for it to phase me. I can see why this is such an in-demand wedding venue, because it is absolutely stunning. Astorian Team, thank you for making me look so good!

The Astorian was the perfect venue for my daughters wedding! Working with Season was easy, She was helpful, thoughtful and responsive to our needs. She made sure everything we asked for actually happened. The brides and grooms rooms are spacious and beautiful. The space was created with care and attention to detail. EVERYONE at the Astorian was helpful and accommodating. I can not say enough about how incredible the venue was. There are so many beautiful spots for taking photos. We LOVE the Astorian and all of the staff (Alyssa, especially)! We did our ceremony and reception at The Astorian, and we absolutely loved our day from start to finish. The bridal suite was amazing, the grooms suite was badass, the hospitality throughout the day was perfect, and it was just stunning.
One of the main reasons that I loved having our wedding at the Astorian, other than the beauty, was the Astorian employees that worked with us from start to finish. We booked our wedding back in December of 2017, and got married on January 19th. Alyssa was our point of contact, and she was amazing. She always took our ideas to the next level with her expertise in event planning and the space. We couldn't have come up with some of the ceremony and reception ideas without her. She was always professional, prompt, and super sweet. We feel so blessed to have worked with her!
Last thing, we loved the ability to work with the team in customizing some of the packages to fit our needs for the wedding. Their patience with us was super commendable.

We LOVED the Astorian! As if the venue wasn't beautiful enough, the staff was top notch. From the coordinators, bartenders, down to the custodial staff, they all did such a great job of making us feel comfortable and tended to. The Day of Coordinators, Season and Brianna, did an amazing job helping with the details. They made my life as the bride, a million times easier. I couldn't have imagined a better venue to host my wedding. The actual venue was so pretty, and the bridal suite and grooms suites were great. I have nothing but great things to say!!

The Astorian was the perfect wedding venue for my daughter's wedding this past September. The gorgeous design, finishes and lighting gave us a huge head start on decorating for the reception. Very little work was required on our part to make this a stunning reception venue. Our guests were amazed at the beautiful setting when they walked into the reception. Our experience working with Season Olds was top notch. Season was extremely knowledgable, responsive, patient, accommodating and reassuring. There was never any doubt we were in good hands and that our reception would be a huge success. We are forever grateful to Season and the entire staff at The Astorian for pulling together an amazing reception for my daughter's wedding!.

The venue is spectacular, there is no need to add much of anything as far as decor.
Season and Brianna were amazing to work with. They made the day and everything leading up to the day run so smoothly. I couldn't have asked for better people to work with. All the staff and vendors were eager to please and meet all of our needs.

This venue was gorgeous, getting married here was the best decision we made! (Well that I made, hubby let me choose everything. :-D)
We had our ceremony and reception here and it turned out perfectly!! I was a little nervous about the room flip but the staff helped both the ceremony and reception go seamlessly. We had about 160 people at our wedding, the space was perfect and never felt too crowded or too large for that many people. Briana and Season were our wedding coordinators and were SO helpful, they technically were only day-of planners but we had several meetings leading up to the wedding and they offered great suggestions and made sure everything went smoothly leading up to and on the day of the wedding. I asked a million questions and they were so great at coordinating everything, offering tips on things that I would never even have thought about, and making sure everything was handled with the outside vendors. The venue itself offers so many great places to take pictures on the day of the wedding both indoors and out, and the location is great for people that live in the loop. The view of downtown, especially as the sun is setting, is so pretty, and the Edison lights once it's dark out look so chic. This was a beautiful place to get married, the staff made everything run so smoothly on the day of, and we and our guests had so much fun on the wedding day!

The Astorian is a stunning and unique venue in Houston. They offer both a bride's suite and groom's suite which was an excellent area to congregate before our ceremony. They were very accommodating when we wanted to practice our dance before the wedding. In addition, the bar and valet service that they provided was excellent and our guests were quickly served.

I'll never run out of good things to say about this venue. Of course it's beauty is the first and most appealing aspect. But the team behind it all is who really makes the Astorian worth booking. If it weren't for Season, our wedding wouldn't have been the perfect night that it turned out to be. She is extremely smart, experienced & kind! She knows how to run the show right :) Thank you to Season, Alex & the whole team behind making my husband and I's night one we will cherish forever. Our guests truly can't stop raving about their experience, and how beautiful the space is. We miss it already! If you book your wedding here & have a few extra "no's" come in...feel free to extend the invite ;)
