out the ACC. The ACC was flawless. It was such a relief to know that the ACC provided catering, servers, bartending, linens, tables, chairs, candles (the list goes on). The service, food and bar were excellent. The ACC runs weddings like a well-oiled machine! You will never have to worry about anything when you book with the ACC. Kelsey, their wedding coordinating, was excellent. She was very responsive and clear with her communication. She and the rest of the staff at the ACC bent over backwards for us. If you want to relax and enjoy your wedding, the ACC is the way to go!

We are still getting compliments from our guests! Our vendors also loved working with the ACC. I rented the bridal/statehouse suite to get ready in and there was plenty of space for all of my bridal party to get ready with a great view of the statehouse. We cannot thank the ACC and Kelsey enough!!

, as soon as we walked in we fell in love with the beauty of the ballroom, the dining room, and the fireplace, and ACC immediately captured our hearts. As we worked through the months of planning, Kelsey did a great job answering all of our questions and directing us to upcoming things that needed to be addressed. On our wedding night, Kelsey and her team guided us through the evening seamlessly. Our only negative feedback is that we were surprised to find less food on our dinner plates than we expected for a typical meal and when considering the cost per plate. Other than this, we overall were very happy with our ACC experience and would highly recommend working with Kelsey and this venue! We would have given 4.5 star rating here if we were able to.

The staff working the event (especially Michael the bartender, who asked us our drink order before the ceremony and had those drinks delivered to us immediately after the ceremony) was great and I am still having guests message me about how beautiful the event space is and the professionalism of the staff. Things to note: there is a minimum spend depending on if your wedding is Friday or Saturday (no Sunday weddings). when you book, you get the whole second floor so can use some of the side rooms to have prep things. The ACC has a really good flow for the reception--> cocktail hour --> reception and people don't have to see the chairs getting moved, etc. They have a basement bowling alley that you can use for the after party (we did and it was perfect). The ACC doesn't provide cake, florals, DJ but has recommendations for options. The venue is beautiful and feels like you're getting a really good value for the price, AND you don't have to coordinate with linens/catering, etc. My sister stayed at the ACC for the weekend, and the room she stayed in is definitely big enough for a small bridal party (~6 + hair and makeup people) to get ready in. We did not get member privileges for the weekend, which was a small bummer initially but was actually fine. You're also caddy corner from the capitol building and can take some really great photos there (weather permitting) This was the perfect venue for us. I'm lying in wait for local friends to get engaged so I can convince them to get married here so we can come back for another wedding!

She was so communicative, responsive, and makes you feel like the most important bride. Andy and the bartenders who work the reception go above and beyond. We seriously were so impressed with the alcohol, service, and accommodations that we would recommend those guys every day. Brittney was there throughout the day and made sure everything went smoothly starting early in the morning, there was a coffee station set up for the girls in the suite and the guys had the squash courts booked with coffee service up there. She checked in and set up lunch and cleared everything - she was so thoughtful and sincere and it was wonderful having her smiling face there in the morning and afternoon. Overall, the ACC is the most incredible venue - the staff, the ballroom, the mantle, the staircase, the after party in the basement - it all makes for the most memorable and perfect day of your life. I will recommend the ACC over and over again because it really is a very special place. You will not regret booking your wedding or event here! Get ready for the best day ever!

The bartender Mike was also a great time! The food was higher quality than your average wedding! The venue also has a great after party room downstairs which is sure to please all your guest! On the wedding day, I got so many compliments from guests with how great the service was. Also, if you haven't been there, when you visit, you will see that it is a beautiful space to work with -- no matter what your vision is for your wedding day. Finally, we did our after party downstairs in the booth, and that was a really fun option -- it was kind of what sealed the deal for us with the ACC in the first place. Our guests enjoyed the time in The Booth and stayed late bowling and eating pizza -- it was a great way to keep the party going!

The building's architecture is beautiful, timeless, and well-kept. The biggest bonus was having the hotel rooms available for our family. Lisa was wonderful to work with during the planning. She is incredibly organized and ensures that no detail is left unaccounted. Whenever I had a question, she always had an answer for me within a day. We had a specific vision for our day and she made sure that it was everything that we wanted. The day before our wedding we met with Thom, our day-of coordinator, and he was an incredible force. In the twenty minutes that I had with him, he took the time to introduce me to himself and to other members of his team and took note of my last minute to-dos and sought to help me anyway that he could. This made me feel so comfortable that everything would go off without a hitch. The day of our wedding, he made sure that my husband and I had the chance to eat and that we always had a drink in our hand. Every wedding needs a Thom! Thom and Lisa made such an awesome team on the day of our wedding. They were sure to keep us on schedule the day of our wedding and helped to iron out every last minute detail. Along with Thom and Lisa, the entire staff was a pleasure to work with. Each person I met was professional and took pride in what they did. The ACC is truly the best in the business.

This was not a small task as we had very big ideas and high expectations. The attention to detail and first-class service were beyond anything we could have hoped for. ic Club. When we met with Lisa, the events coordinator, we knew that this was the venue we wanted for our wedding reception. Lisa was one of the most responsive vendors we have worked with. She answered question after question with such patience and grace and helped make our reception perfect, down to every last detail. She explained everything - sometimes multiple times, to ensure that we understood everything. It was easy- they provide everything- catering, linens, table numbers, etc. We brought a few other decorations to personalize a little, but the venue is so naturally gorgeous and really needs no decorating. Another side note- some venues make you pay a few thousand dollars to rent nicer chairs, or a few hundred to cut a cake- you won’t find silly fees like this at the ACC. The week of the wedding, we had major stressful issues with some of our other vendors. Not with the ACC. We did not encounter one issue the entire year we planned our wedding. Not one! They remained professional and a joy to work with the entire time. Every detail was laid out and well communicated. The day of the wedding- everything was executed perfectly. We met Thom, who went above and beyond to ensure everything was taken care of and that we did not have to worry about anything. He had cake sent to our room so that we had a chance to eat some at the end of the night! Don’t forget to check out the after party space in the basement of the ACC. Once the reception was over, we all went downstairs to continue the celebration with bowling and billiards. Our guests are still raving about it! The ACC was the best choice we could have made when planning our wedding!

The day of our wedding everything was set up earlier than anticipated and the staff was incredible. The next morning, they had torn down the decor we brought and cleaned, boxed, stacked, and carted everything for easy removal. I would highly recommend this venue to anyone looking for a stress-free, gorgeous event!

A massive vase of flowers greets you at the historic front entrance, stunning leather furniture decorates the entryway and the deep and polished wood sets the tone for the perfect winter/spring wedding. Honestly... we were blown away by our first impression of the Club. And then we met Lisa. It's safe to say it was love at first handshake. Her kindness, smarts and supportive spirit was so attractive - as we were a couple that was planning from afar. You could tell that she was equal parts fun and professional. Being that we are based in NYC (Columbus is my hometown), we were looking for a team of communicators to stay in touch and help us every step of the way. The ACC was everything we had hoped for and then some. We had the pleasure of meeting Thom the week leading up to our wedding, and were so impressed. He shook our hands, introduced us to the entire team who was setting up for/serving at our wedding, and got to know our parents and immediate family members who were staying onsite. Lisa, Thom and the ACC team went above and beyond to cater to our parents and their preferences, and made sure that we had the dream experience from soup to nuts. Our wedding day was magical, y'all. The venue looked stunning -- the tables were in perfect order, our linens and chairs were set the night before (so we could have a sneak peek with our brothers and sisters), and the chandeliers sparkled to perfection. The staff was professional, helpful and courteous. Every single individual we encountered made us feel like royalty on our big day. The food was exceptional and the wine was equally yummy. Every individual that we spoke with raved about the salmon and short rib. Looking back, not one person had a negative thing to say about the apps, food or drinks. We opted for an "elevated" open bar as we both have big Irish Catholic families - and it did not disappoint. The ACC even worked with us to ensure our favorite beer from ATL (where we met) was served. In fact, I visited the bar during the wedding and the bartender handed me the very last craft beer from ATL. Before I knew it, someone came up to me and said the staff ran out and restocked the craft beer mid-wedding. I mean... BEST SERVICE EVER. They truly wanted us to be happy and have everything we could have needed or wanted that evening. That we did. I'd also like to shout-out the ACC's preferred vendor list which Lisa shared with us. The ACC developed a custom list of vendors they enjoy working with and it's how we found many of our favorites, specifically our planner Michelle (STR Events). They don't just identify the most expensive in the city - but rather those who are "best in class" and deliver exceptional service much like the ACC. It's true that the ACC is NOT the cheapest option in Columbus. But, they are the VERY BEST use of your dollars if you're looking for peace of mind, a stunning venue, and a day that your guests will rave about for years to come. They aren't a vendor, they are your team. We very much felt that at the end of the day, the ACC was like family. In my opinion, you can't put a price on that! Thank you ACC. We are eternally grateful.

Having read tons of reviews for tons of places, now that it's my turn to write one I feel like I can't possibly say enough to express how wonderful the Athletic Club was as a venue. You can visit for yourself and see how gorgeous the location is, you can try the food ahead of time to know how delicious it is, you can even get all the details like parking in the lot is included for your guests. What you won't know until the day of is how incredible the staff is! We worked with Lisa leading up to the big day and she was always quick to communicate and guide us on any questions. She was there the day of to help make sure everything clipped along too. The entire staff the night of the wedding was fantastic! At one point before the ceremony, I noticed price tags left on the felt backs of our frames for the table numbers. My mom started trying to use a hair dryer to melt them off, and the staff ended up taking over for her and doing it themselves. It was such an above and beyond gesture! The entire staff did a great job of putting our decor together as well. The bartender, I hear, was a big hit too! The food was out quickly and efficiently. At our sweetheart's table, they had our signature drinks ready for each of us at our spots. When it was almost time for toasts, champagne magically appeared at our table. At the end of the night, we returned to our room (we stayed on site) to find pizza (my favorite food!) waiting for us, our leftover cake, a packed leftover entree, and champagne! Now, we managed to eat all of our delicious food during the reception, but I was still hungry afterwards and so grateful for the pizza! A lot of this is owed to Thom who coordinated the service that night. He was everywhere that night and seeing to it that everything went smoothly. At the end of the night, they packed everything up for us and left it in our parlor room for us to pick up the next day (I hear some places make you take everything home the night of!!). Your vendors will make your event! Once the day starts, it's basically all on them! Our day was a fairy tale wedding largely thanks to the excellent service at the Athletic Club. Again, I really can not say enough good things about our experience here. If you want an elegant, romantic venue, this is your place!

our very first meeting with Lisa Sullivan and her staff at ACC, everything was amazing. The ACC is the perfect venue if you want an elegant timeless event with a staff that is very attentive! On the morning of the wedding, we found out close family friends would not be able to attend the wedding due to a family emergency. The staff at ACC very graciously was able to remove the table and rearrange the seating for the other guests at the table .At the last minute, the dear friends informed us that they would be able to attend the wedding after all and the staff at ACC- without hesitation set up another table for these very special family friends!! All throughout the evening, the staff was checking to see if there was anything we needed. The ACC made my daughter and son in laws wedding a dream come true! I highly recommend the ACC for a wedding.

Everything was just that smooth. We even had my elderly mother and mother in law, stay in one of the hotel rooms upstairs. And they were well taken care of. The most complimented thing from the reception, was the food! It was excellent. Not an easy feat for 150 guests. We needed some vegan meals, and that was no problem. I highly recommend the ACC for your ceremony and reception.

It is absolutely breathtaking and the PERFECT venue for a romantic fairytale wedding for both the ceremony, reception, and not to mention the after party in the bowling alley! Every detail of our wedding was planned around the natural beauty of The ACC- from my dress and the bridal party attire to the flowers and the band. It all came together absolutely perfectly to make our fairytale come to life! The staff at the ACC is the absolute best you could ever ask for. They worked with us for over 18 months, answering questions and giving suggestions on how to make our dreams come to life. Since we were planning our wedding from across the country, we did our tasting and finished all day-of details a year in advance, and the staff was essential in making sure those details came to life on our day of. They were patient with my type-A tendencies and my random "go and see" visits whenever I was visiting Columbus just to "make sure everything was okay." They went above and beyond to make the entire wedding weekend relaxed and flawless- from the time we checked into our rooms on Thursday night with complimentary drinks from Thom to our getting ready mimosas and snack bar to the time we checked out on Sunday morning with all of our decorations and details organized and ready for pick up and everything between. The food was incredible. The drinks and bartenders were outstanding. The service and coordination kept everything on track. The space is outstanding. And we are still getting compliments from guests about how the entire wedding was as if it were straight from a magazine or movie! I could not have asked for a more perfect venue or staff for our most perfect day! There is no better place in Columbus for your fairytale wedding!

s. Lisa had so many good ideas and suggestions. She is kind, personable and made us feel at ease. Her attention to detail and deadlines kept us on track. The food was great and perfectly cooked, which is not expected at most weddings, and the bartenders, waiters and staff kept up with demand, we had 157 guests. The butler passed appetizers and wine at cocktail hour was a nice touch. Thom, the banquet manager made sure that I, as mother of the bride, did not want for anything the day of, and that everything ran smoothly. The dining room was so beautiful. The venue is just gorgeous, so it really saved on floral costs. You don't need a lot of decorations. It oozes charm and sophistication. The place speaks for itself. Our daughter and her friends stayed in the six suites they have and that's where we all had our hair and make up done. My daughter and son-in-law (did I just say son-in-law) chose The Athletic Club of Columbus after looking at 7 venues. What sold them, and me, was the the elegance and beauty of the club, AND the amazing bowling alley downstairs that we used for the after party. What a hit that was for our guests. Darrell, the bowling alley manager, was very attentive, personable and very helpful. They even provided a security guard to walk folks to their cars or hotels. Very thoughtful. Plus, you can get a block of hotel rooms within walking distance. I can't recommend The Athletic Club of Columbus more highly. If I could give it 10 stars I would.

best by far! I was nervous about weather playing a factor in my day, and this venue was perfect! It was 90 degrees outside, so we had mostly lovely indoor pictures and then took some pretty outdoor pictures a few blocks away for only 10 mins. It worked out really well! The food was amazing (yes, I ate it all... I'm not one of those brides who eats nothing, haha) and so was the after party in the bowling alley. Only complaint is the coordinator changed half way through our wedding planning. As a result, everything we discussed with Emily needed to be re-discussed with Lisa. Don't get me wrong, Lisa was great, but we forgot to reiterate the importance of having IPAs at the wedding, and as a result, there were none. The dining manager went out of his way to find something for my husband to drink, but none of his groomsmen were able to have any. Despite this, everyone had a great time and everything was coordinated very well!

We heard from multiple people, that our venue was the most beautiful they had ever been to. Not to mention, the food was out of this word! Our wedding day was something out of a dream, and we credit so much of that to the ACC.
