I hired Back 40 Farm to cater an outdoor wedding reception for 130 people. They did a fantastic job! They were very professional and communicated with me before and during the event to ensure everything was to my liking. Their pizza, salad, and dessert pizza were all delicious! Helen and Al are lovely people and a joy to work with. I would hire them again!

We love pizza and wanted to incorporate it into our wedding weekend. The Welcome party my sister's lake home was the perfect setting and The Back 40 Family Farm hit it out of the park with their pizza! The Arends Family is welcoming, efficient, talented, and their pizza is some of the best we have ever tasted. Being from NYC that says a lot. We hired the Back 40 to cater a welcome party the night before our wedding. They were willing to travel to Hendricks, MN and had amazing recommendations for our event. They served amazing salad, scrumptious charcuterie, and 5 different pizzas (even one off-menu with 4 different meats because it is my husband’s favorite!). They even had a gluten-free crust options that was amazing. Their set up is seamless and when they left they did not leave a trace - pure professionals. Helen was great in communication and we thank them for serving the most amazing pizza to our family and friends. Highly recommend! Every guest was extremely full and enjoyed the most amazing experience.

We hired the Back 40 to provide the meal for our Grooms Dinner. They are very easy to work with, communication is fantastic, and they have an incredible menu to choose from! We had such a blast watching them create the pizzas and would 100% hire them again. Their pizzas are phenomenal and the owners went out of their way to provide us with a stress-free grooms dinner.

We are a husband and wife (and kids) team who loves people, food, and celebrations of all kinds. Our passion is to make events effortless for the hosts -- this stems out of hosting multiple large private events at our farm every year and knowing all that goes into planning one. We love what we do and are also crazy about making, serving, and coming up with new ideas for wood fired pizzas -- the original fast food. We have been happily married for almost 27 years and have a lot of fun in our marriage and family. We love weddings!
