LOVED Baking Grounds for our Wedding Cake & cupcakes - they were amazing all the way from the tasting to the big day! Everyone was raving about how good the desserts were, highly recommend :) Also, I'm GF as well as some of my close family members and they had GF options which was perfect.

They made my wedding cake dreams a reality! I showed them a picture that I wanted it exactly that way and they had no problem making it happen!

Our wedding cake was FABULOUS. This is the only wedding cake I’ve had that I actually thought tasted good… they make it fresh for the wedding and their buttercream is made with all butter (I’m a baker too, and believe me it makes a huge difference). The worker who delivered it also helped me arrange flowers that the florist left to put on the cake, even though it wasn’t her job (normally the florist is supposed to stay and do this themselves). Prices were reasonable as well compared to others in the area. Highly recommend!

We highly recommend The Baking Grounds for all of your wedding day cake needs! Not only were our wedding cake and groom's cake beautifully decorated, but they also tasted AMAZING! From the start, we wanted cakes that were traditional, and most importantly, we wanted cakes that tasted great and that everyone would love. Well, The Baking Grounds delivered and went above and beyond! For the groom's cake, we used a family heirloom as the topper, and they took wonderful care of it and truly made the cake so special for our family. We look forward to returning to The Baking Grounds and their wonderful family-oriented business for more of our cake needs in the near future - and even to grab a yummy, homemade breakfast!

The Baking Grounds made our wedding cake & it was both beautiful & tasted amazing!! We had 2 different filling options & they were both great. We booked them through our venue & they did not disappoint. Everyone loved the look & taste of the cake as well.

The Baking Grounds made a wedding cake for my daughter and provided the entire dessert bar/table in late May 2022. From our first meeting in December of last year, the staff has been nothing but professional and extremely nice. In fact, we were so impressed with their products that we made several trips between booking them in December and the wedding in May to go eat breakfast, or lunch, or just pick up great desserts. The staff in the store is always helpful and kind. Everything they make is top notch. The wedding cake was simple and beautiful. The dessert table, with dipped cookies, cake pops, cupcakes, petit fours, etc., was the talk of the wedding - especially the cake pops. We are so happy that we chose the Baking Grounds. Whenever we need dessert, for any occasion now, we will choose the Baking Grounds! Thank you!

We ordered a 4 tier wedding cake, grooms cake, and petit fours for favors from The Baking Grounds. All of them were delicious!! Our guests loved the cakes and raved about the design and quality!

The Baking Grounds was very friendly and easy to work with. We did three smaller cakes with different flavors; they all tasted amazing and everyone loved them! They delivered the cakes to the venue and the delivery lady even helped put some flowers on the cakes because we were running behind. Very helpful!!

Everyone, and I do mean everyone at our wedding loved our cake. That is not an easy thing to do. The Baking Grounds delivered the most amazing cake I have ever had, and it was perfectly matched to our wedding colors. We had three tiers and a grooms cake, and we saved our top, but everything else was gone by the time we had our grand exit!! It was awesome!

We always get our cakes from them and they did not disappoint with our wedding cake. All of our guests kept talking about how delicious it was. We did not leave the event with any leftovers.

The baking grounds made the most beautiful cake for our wedding. After our tasting we couldn’t decide on a flavor, so we had each tier a different flavor. They were on time for delivery and our cake looked beautiful! Our guests couldn’t stop raving about how delicious the cake was and I can say that the icing was the perfect consistency to rub all over my husbands face!! :)

We had The Baking Grounds make our wedding cake and cupcakes last month and LOVED how they turned out! We had 4 different flavors of cupcakes and each one was so delicious. They were a huge hit among our guests! Thank you to Melinda and all the Baking Grounds team!

We hired The Baking Grounds a month before our wedding date, because our initial cake vendor closed shop (COVID-19...). The cake design and the taste were both what'd confirmed! However, our wedding colors were Emerald, Black, and Gold. I told the owner to have the main flowers Emerald, and have the mini flowers black, with a hint of Gold. We received blush flowers and white mini flowers instead, which didn't go with our color schemes at all. Overall, our guests thought the cake was delicious!

Our cake was fantastic! When we went in for our tasting, we had so many options, but they were able to customize our cake to our specific tastes and design ideas. The delivery was right on time, and it tasted fantastic. I can’t wait to order our anniversary cake from there!

I have been a long-time fan of The Baking Grounds, and when it came time to decide on a bakery for my wedding cake, there was no competition! The cake tasting experience was so fun and we left SO full from trying everything. We selected The Baking Grounds for our four-tier wedding cake and the grooms cake. They knocked both out of the park and I continue to receive compliments on how amazing the detail was on the grooms cake (my husband is a police officer and I incorporated his badge into the cake - it looked identical!). The flavor, icing, and filling variety offered by The Baking Grounds in unparalleled. I cannot recommend their services enough!

The Baking Grounds is a family-owned company, which I loved. From the first time I went to the bakery, they went above and beyond to accommodate me. The cake tasting was free and DELICIOUS. Malinda sat down with us and made sure she understood exactly what we were looking for. She was up front about pricing and different options for how to save. They are very reasonably priced and so so good. The cake turned out beautifully. It was absolutely one of my favorite details about the wedding. I got so many compliments. It was everything I had asked for. They also did a grooms cake for me that was perfect! It was an odd request (a turkey), but they did it better than I could ever imagine. It was a hit with my husband both in looks and in taste! I would absolutely hire them again. In fact, I am using them now for birthday cakes, shower cakes for friends, etc. They are phenomenal!

I was originally going to just have Publix do my wedding cake, but after I met with the baker there, I did not have a good gut feeling that everything was going to be the way I wanted it to be. The cake surprisingly was the hardest part for me and my now husband to figure out. After talking to my florist, they recommended The Baking Grounds! Looked online and their cakes were Amazing!!!!! Went in and was able to try the different flavors, the woman that helped us gave her advice on the best filling for each specific cake, and even had a couple options for the top layer that she knew would last a while and still be fresh come the one-year anniversary. My guests raved about the cake and kept asking me where I had gotten it. It was sweet but not too sweet and you didn’t feel like 1,000 pounds after having a slice! I still go back to The Baking Grounds for birthday cakes and pastries! I went from dreading my wedding cake to absolutely loving it! I had a fragile cake topper and was able to leave it in their possession without any worry.

We were so pleased with our wedding cake and grooms cake. Everyone could not wait to get a piece. We had many compliments on the different flavors. My wedding cake looked like a master piece. My husband was so excited about his superman grooms cake.

Our Daughter used The Baking Grounds for her wedding cake at her 22 Sept 2018 reception at the Chattahoochee Country Club, and they were outstanding! My daughter lives out of state, and planned most of her wedding long distance, so she never got to meet with Malinda from The Baking Grounds in person to select her wedding cake. Malinda had to rely on pictures and relayed information. Despite that, the cake was perfect, exactly what my daughter wanted, and best of all, it tasted as wonderful as it looked! I highly recommend the Baking Grounds- they will exceed your expectations!

Booker Washington - May have been the best tasting cake ever. My only criticism.... I did not have enough of it and we went on our honeymoon right after and did not freeze more of the cake to eat upon our return!

Amazing!!! Malinda is such a sweetheart and was so helpful in customizing the perfect cake for our wedding. Our wedding cake was beautiful and most importantly - delicious!! We also had them make "bride" and "groom" cake pops for our wedding favors, which turned out so cute!! I highly recommend this bakery for weddings or any sort of special event!!

Easiest process ever! I did not have to worry about a thing-- I was planning the wedding from out of state and they took care of everything! The cake was absolutely gorgeous and tasted like heaven! I was worried about cost and she recommended that we do a Styrofoam cake and then cut the slices from sheet cake. It was the best decision--saved a bunch of money and the Styrofoam cake was iced and had our flowers on top and no one even knew (even the groom--he kept trying to cut through the Styrofoam, lol). Overall super easy, delicious and reliable!

Amazing! We had 3 cakes made for our wedding, one more traditional 3 layer naked caked, and two "un-traditional" cakes, a reeses cup peanut butter cake and a layereed chocolate chip lake with 30+ dozen assortment of cookies. Every single item was delicious and my guests were raving about the selection. Malinda was very open to all of our ideas and was creative in making all of our dessert wishes happen for our big day. They were very responsive and we highly recommend using the Baking Grounds for any of your wedding dessert needs!

We worked with Malinda for our cakes and cupcakes. We did a traditional cake with two flavors and additional sets of cupcakes. People were raving about the cake and cupcakes all night (the chocolate chip cookie dough cup cakes were to die for). She was great to work with and extremely responsive. She found fabric florals in our colors to decorate the cake with as well which was such a help. My Husband is allergic to Dairy and she made a custom cake for him which was AMAZING.

We selected The Baking Grounds as our wedding cake baker because of their great reviews and the convenient location of being less than a mile from our venue, Buford Theatre & Community Center. Malinda, the owner, was so sweet and she made sure our wedding cake was what we had imagined! All our guests loved the cake and was raving about it!

We chose the Baking Grounds because they worked closely with our venue, Ashton Gardens. We went for the tasting and were very impressed with their organization and selection. They gave us several different flavors to try, and all of them were delicious! They were very affordable. Our cake turned out exactly as we wanted it. It was beautiful, and I had several guests comment on how delicious it was!

Great cake, moist delicious, fantastic flavors, grooms cake was a huge hit...base of cake was wrong color...wanted magenta...got..lavender. However the mango cake layer made my heart sing. Overall good experience...just wish the color had been magenta.

We used The Baking Grounds because they were a preferred vendor of our venue, Ashton Gardens. We went to the shop for a tasting, stuffed ourselves with cakes of all kinds, and paid for our wedding cakes on the spot! After tasting the cakes and reading reviews, we didn't need much convincing. The display cakes in the shop helped us choose our final cake design. Lauren made sure to give us professional advice to help us choose design, flavor, and size. For the groom's cake, I emailed an image which they replicated perfectly. Lastly, the price was fair, and didn't make me cringe like most wedding expenses! Thank you!!

We loved (and still love!) the Baking Grounds. They were highly recommended by our venue. They were great to meet with, had a wonderful variety of flavors, were flexible and helpful and priced well. Most importantly, everything tasted AMAZING! I recently stopped in to buy some cupcakes to remember how delicious our wedding cake was. If only they were closer to my house!

The Baking Grounds not only makes beautiful and delicious cakes, but they are the most reasonably priced bakery out there! I had my wedding cake and groom's cake made and delivered by them, and I couldn't have been happier! Also, they were very flexible with my schedule and were able to work me in last minute to schedule a tasting. Best bakery in the Atlanta area!

Our cake was FABULOUS! Since I live abroad, my mom and sister were able to go to the tasting for me. Everything was done professionally and the options they provided were great. We simply gave them a picture of what we were looking for and they went beyond the call of duty! Originally we asked for a fake bottom layer to the cake which is what we paid for and on the day off, the baker decided she didn't like how the fake layer looked, so she gave us a REAL cake layer free of charge. The cake tasted AMAZING and looked fabulous not to mention it held up perfectly in the 85 degree heat (which we were really worried about!) Wonderful experience with The Baking Grounds.

Having worked with Malinda while in the wedding planning business, I knew she was the one I wanted to go with! I had seen so many of her cakes and tasted them so it was an easy choice because you can't beat the beauty and taste of her masterpieces! I had something specific in mind and she took it to the next level and surpassed all of my expectations!! It was absolutely beautiful and, of course, was delicious! My guests raved about it! My husband loves cheesecake so, naturally, he wanted cheesecake for his groom cake. YUM!! The cheesecakes she made were to die for!! Working with Malinda is such a pleasure! The team was very attentive. The owner was very detailed. She provided her personal number just in case we needed to get in touch with her. Also, the cake was so good. It was moist and tasty.

The baking grounds was referred to me not only from close friends who had used them for their own weddings, but they were also on the preferred vendors list at my ceremony/reception site. Malinda was so wonderful to work with! She made it easy to set up a tasting & was kind & informative. They have a great deal that if you decide to go with them & book within 24 hours of your consultation, they knock off 10%. We were able to save $50-60 dollars and get a full payment out of the way. It was nice to get a deal & not have any other payments to worry about. I do wish we would have known at that time how much smaller our wedding guest count would be though. We had thought at the time it would be 140 people, when in actuality we only had 100 adults--120 total. We did have a lot of cake left over. But it was delicious!! We chose two different flavors for our wedding cake & had a third flavor for the groom's cake. It all tasted great & looked fantastic! I highly recommend the Baking Grounds!

I had a Fairy Tale wedding cake ! It was a dream come true. The cake was a little pricey but fed 250 people & was delivered & set up. The staff was wonderful & showed up on time !!!

Baking Grounds did our wedding and groom's cake. They were so easy to work with, enjoyable in the tasting and planning phase, and very reliable on the day-of! They were willing to create a specific image for the the cake we envisioned for the groom and it exceeded my expectations! After the tasting, my mom and I went back again to order slices for my dad to try because it was all so delicious! We went with the red velvet from the groom's cake and traditional white for the main cake. Highly recommend both!

Malinda and her staff at the baking grounds did an incredible job with our wedding day treats! (I'm not going to lie...I may have dropped in for a cupcake or treat every time I came through Buford!) We had a two tiered white cake with butter cream frosting (frosted in a sort of rustic, casual way) along with a few dozen plain cupcakes with white butter cream frosting on a tier around the cake. In lieu of a groomsmen cake we opted for 3 flavors of cupcakes: caramel, chocolate overload (or something like that), and red velvet. (I'm drooling just thinking about them!) Their service was exceptional! The sweets also to die for! They no longer have their office in Lawrenceville (FYI). They have moved full time to their store at the Mall of Georgia. Feel free to drop in for lunch, coffee, sweets, or to ask about cakes! (We did all of the above) Also, they serve wedding cake (the white cake with butter cream frosting) by the slice & their specialty cupcakes every day . So if you want to drop in and try it out, then put on your spy clothes and try some before you commit to talking weddings! You won't be disappointed.
