The size of the club allows for full customization as you design a wedding that is uniquely you. If you choose to hold your reception indoors, the ballroom offers an excellent setting. Elegant and exclusive, this spacious room has a private dining room, a hardwood dance floor, and two sweeping balconies that overlook the grounds below. Sip a cocktail from the on-site bar out on the balcony as you watch the sunset over the rolling hills of Upstate New York.
On your special day, you will enjoy exclusive access to the entire second floor of the club, making for a roomy yet intimate experience. Wedding packages include a multi-course dinner, allowing you to streamline your catering plans. While the menus have been carefully selected to include the club’s most popular dishes, the head chef is happy to accommodate any special requests you might have. Open-bar packages are available for you to browse, and on-site bar staff provide excellent service. A list of preferred vendors can also be provided to help you find the right decorations, flowers, and entertainment for your big day.

eview as more of a warning to the next bride. Be prepared to fight every step of the way for your dream day. The wedding coordinator(Karen Hite) made every effort to ruin my wedding experience for me. Every problem that came up was caused by her. Things I was told I would be able to do and have in my original meeting were completely declined as we got closer to the day. From my menu, to timeline of the wedding, to the actual cost of the wedding (I signed a contract and was still debating with her 3 months before the wedding), my list goes on. Which you get over(but should you have to?)
Lastly the day of the wedding she was extremely rude my wedding party, parents and inlaws. Again you get over(should you have to?) Because my wedding was still a wonderful day.
If you do decide to go with Blue Heron, be prepared to fight and make the day what you envision, because Karen will not help you.

/24/20 and the event planner Casey pulled it together in under a month! She was quick to respond to messages and organized a beautiful event with coordinated table settings and a beautiful backdrop. The site has many beautiful spaces for photos, and dinner was delicious! The servers and bar staff were attentive, polite, and friendly. Although it wasn’t what we had initially planned in terms of size or timing, Casey and her staff worked so hard to make our event perfect and now I can’t imagine doing it anywhere else!

We got SO many compliments on our food - the chef Paul did an outstanding job. Our wedding coordinator Caitie was great leading up to and the day of the wedding. She answered all our questions and worked to make our day exactly how we wanted. The day of the wedding Caitie made sure everything went smoothly. My wedding party told me that she was everywhere they looked! (I was too busy having an amazing time to notice) I would 100% recommend having a wedding at Blue Heron!

grandfathers needs and was immensely helpful even when it came to helping figure out where the DJ should go if it rained (or poured all day up until 20 mins before my wedding). There was nothing he wouldn't do for us and was at every meeting. Caitie was helpful and always available for contacting if you needed anything, day or night. They have thought of everything when it comes to details and they are open to everything. We had a smore bar at our wedding, a first for them, and it worked out beautifully. It's newly repainted and remodeled a little as of this summer. They have solid back up plans for anything and everything! We booked a year in advance and wouldn't have changed our minds. Our favorite part of the place was the entire open window view and the bar at the end of the dance floor! It's just beautiful!

You have access to the entire floor, unlike most venues that only give access to a single room. Anything I wanted, the answer was, "Yes!" Paul (catering) is a spectacular human being. He genuinely wanted to know how he could accommodate my guests best. I was able to adjust the menu to whatever I wanted, and felt completely in control of my wedding. This is definitely not the case at all wedding venues.
While Blue Heron Hills is slightly out of the way from Rochester, it is definitely an ideal location for a wedding reception. My guests were unbelievably impressed with the entire night, and it was very clear to me how much time and effort everyone at Blue Heron Hills put into our night. We are forever grateful!!!

ble. Paul made the food which was homemade and unbelievable. I nearly busted out of my dress because I wanted to keep eating. Patrick and Paul were checking in with us throughout the entire evening to make sure everything was going well and if we needed anything. We also did our photos around the golf course. Patrick gave us all (14 in wedding party) golf carts and escorted us around the course. Patrick was wonderful with our photographers and meeting their requests with lighting and scenic backgrounds. Everything went perfectly! It was unreal how perfect it went. We were not worried about one thing. It was especially nice being at Blue Heron because it was so secluded, private and beautiful. If we could do it all over again, we would not change a thing. We have and will continue to recommend Blue Heron Hills. We also had our wedding cake made by an onsite baker, Melissa. They listened to our thoughts, considered our budget, promptly responded to all communications, and worked with us and for us to make our reception EXACTLY what we envisioned. The entire staff was professional on our wedding day while the decor and food were fabulous. We could not have been happier. I would undoubtedly recommend Blue Herron to any person planning a special event!
