NEW to The Knot!!! With over 15 years of teaching experience, Nick has helped hundreds of wedding couples get ready for their first dance, and he can help you! The Ballroom Guy in Manhattan, NY, will work with you and your partner to make your wedding dance the stuff of legend. Owner & Founder Nick Jacobs started his business in 2021, welcoming people from all backgrounds and walks of life to experience a fun way to stay fit while learning a brand-new hobby. Nick's ballroom dancing journey began in 2010 when he landed a job with a well-known and prestigious dance company. He worked his way up through the ranks to become a respected dancer and teacher before landing the management role of Dance Director for his studio. In 2014, he finished as one of the top teachers in the world under the category of Total Number of Lessons Taught, which was over 2,000 in a single year. This led to Nick being invited to train other professional dance teachers, company-wide, on his successful teaching style. This quick ascent to the top gave him the confidence to venture out on his own and open his Ballroom Guy business. What sets Nick apart from most teachers, is his ability to break down the steps, lead & follow, and movement techniques in a fun and clear way. Through the use of stories and silly visuals, Nick ultimately helps you and your partner memorize and master your routine easier and faster than you ever thought possible.
