The Banker’s House is listed on the National Register of Historic Places and was built in 1875. It was designed by the well-known architect G.S. H. Applegate. The president of the First National Bank, George Blanton, and his wife, Nancy, lived in the home between 1937 and 2006. Their three daughters were enthusiastic about horses. A barn sits on the property that housed their beloved animals, which was initially constructed in 1911.
