Matt and the team at The Bankery and Skowhegan Fleuriste were a DREAM to work with! They were so attentive during the planning process and were so welcoming during our consultation meeting. The flowers were GORGEOUS and completely tied together our design for the day. The cakes (we had 4 different kinds!) were great, and our vegan guests in particular really enjoyed theirs! The DuBois are the kindest family and that comes through in their work!

MATT is truly a floral artist. As a flower enthusiast, the floral arrangements for our wedding may have been the most important detail to the Bride. Matt captured the vision perfectly. The colors and textures were so rich and vibrant. The choices of flowers in season in Maine during late September – perfection. To see the vision come to life brought tears to my eyes. The arrangements were so stunning guests at every table swooned – and the bouquets became the favored takeaway. Our cake was not only beautiful – it was absolutely delicious – one of the best carrot cakes we’ve had the pleasure of indulging in. And our son’s birthday cake was over the top chocolate deliciousness. So much gratitude to this team!!!

The Bankery did our wedding cake this fall, and I can’t recommend them enough! We picked a small 2-tiered cake for cutting, plus 2 half-sheet cakes, which allowed us to pick 3 flavors. For the cutting cake, we went with the lemon cake, Maine blueberry filling, and lemon frosting, which was amazing! The cake was beautifully frosted with a simple ribbon pattern and tasted amazing. Our first sheet cake was almond cake with raspberry filling and chocolate buttercream icing (probably my favorite), and the second sheet cake was an unbelievavbly moist pumpkin cake with caramel filling and cream cheese frosting. The Bankery delivered our cakes the day before the wedding (1.5hr drive from the bakery!), which was a huge help! The pumpkin cake was the only one that needed refrigeration due to the cream cheese icing. Matt was a dream to work with, and I would absolutely use them again for any cake needs in Maine :)

The Bankery did our cutting cake, mini whoopie pies, and fruit pies for our wedding at Sugarloaf this past September and it was all so delicious! Everything looked amazing and tasted even better. They have tons of options for cake and frosting flavors, and were very accommodating in making what we had envisioned a reality. Definitely would recommend them to other couples!

We had the Bankery do our dessert for the wedding. We got a three-tier cake with the black/white cake on bottom, lemon cake with blueberry filling in middle, and red velvet on the top tier. We also got pies for those not interested in cake. Everything tasted fantastic, there was not a single piece of cake left! We had a birch tree design on our cake that looked amazing! (Our photographer said it was the best birch cake design she had ever seen!) And to top if off they were able to accommodate and make our desserts completely nut free due to a severe allergy in our family. Very easy to work with and pricing was affordable. They even delivered to Millinocket for me :). Would highly recommend for your wedding dessert needs!

Our wedding cake from The Bankery was great. We had such a fun time at our tasting and completely loved our final cake. The flavors were so wonderful that even though we opted for very simple decoration (smooth icing with a few flowers on top), it was like a work of art!

The Bankery is an amazing place! Stop in to their adorable downtown location and try their pastries or soup for a hint of how well they make everything that goes out their doors. We hired them for our flowers and cake for our October wedding, and it was a spectacular decision. We had separate cakes for each table, and each one had a different 1920s Hollywood art deco design on it to go with our film and screen theme. I was worried because I have Celiac and can't eat gluten, but they made me a flourless chocolate torte for the headtable that is, without a doubt, my new favorite dessert. I wasn't sure what I wanted to do for flowers, so I showed them the kinds of things I like, and they designed me a bouquet that fit my theme perfectly, but was so unique and "me". They even wrapped them with silk and a pin from my grandparents, so I got to have them with me when I walked down the aisle. Everything they made was beautiful and unique, their service is unparalleled, and on top of it all, their prices were very reasonable. I highly recommend this vendor for your special event cake or flower needs!

The Bankery was great from start to finish. Initial cake testing and design exceeded our expectations. The willingness of the artist to create personalized touches for the cake was phenomenal. The cake tasting itself was delicious. Delivery coordination was seamless and prompt. The cake arrived early and exactly as requested. Many guests kept saying it was the best cake they have ever had. We could not have been more thrilled with working with The Bankery to make our wedding cake!

We had cupcakes in a tower with a single layer of cake on top which we froze for the first anniversary. The cupcakes were moist and delicious and they were decorated with modern floral etchings to match our invitations and program.

For a wonderful price and extraordinary service, I got a beautiful decorative cutting cake that matched my colors perfectly. I also ordered a sheet and a half of double layered cake for the guests which was not only tasty, but matched the decorative cake beautifully. I loved this place and would absolutely use them again!

My baker fell through just 3 months before my October wedding. I called Mike at The Bankery, and he had 1 slot available. He was fabulous! He took the time to sit down with me, look at the pictures of what I was envisioning, and helped to suggest personalization touches that would further enhance the overall cake. He even had some foam "dummy cake pieces" that he put together to give me a better visual of what I was looking at. The cake was DELICIOUS! I highly recommend red velvet! Call ahead to set up a tasting! Overall, very accommodating, friendly, and great to work with! (Also, because they are joined with Skowhegan Fleuriste, they will give you a discount on flowers if you get your cake there).

I cannot say enough good things about this place. Mike has amazing talent and the cake itself was delicious! Mike took my inspiration and went with it and the results were awesome! I could not be happier in my decision to use them! We also had a pasty platter for the day of and it was super tasty, everyone loved it!

My wedding cake was absolutely gorgeous, a simple design but exactly what I wanted. I had found the picture online and The Bankery did a beautiful job of matching my colors and copying the design. My husband and I had chosen a chocolate cake with chocolate ganache and *real* raspberry filling and buttercream frosting. The cake was very moist and I heard a lot of people complimenting the cake, saying it was the best wedding cake they had tasted. It was a hit!

I cannot even express how well our wedding cupcake experience was with The Bankery! The artistic factor made all of the difference. The team is professional, clean, prepared and focused. They also have a florist in the same building which I also used for the wedding so it was only one delivery. I am so happy with their service and would not change a thing! Kudos, and definitely highly rate this vendor!
