The Bar Cart CT

Communication was great right up to the week of the wedding. We were really happy with the flexibility and options we were allowed to choose from. Our guests had a great time in part to the team of the Bar Cart.

Debbie and her team were wonderful! Communication was great and very accommodating to all of our requests. They showed up early to get everything set up and were ready right as the ceremony ended. We had 2 bartenders and they kept the lines short and everyone satisfied!

We contracted with The Bar Cart CT for our wedding in 2023 and paid over 2500, only to find ourselves extremely frustrated on our wedding day. The day of the wedding, the Bar Cart CT staff showed up with a U-HAUL truck, not the cute cart that is shown in all of their photos. The U-Haul dropped off a basic table with a black tablecloth on the grass near our outdoor tent. Two bartenders stood behind the table and served drinks from there. We were incredibly confused as to why there was no cart, and when we called the owner the next day asked what happened he said our contract didn’t include a cart. It was NEVER communicated to us that we wouldn’t get the cart with the alcohol and bartender service package we purchased. In fact, we have multiple email exchanges with the owner where we are giving him instructions for where to drop off THE CART at our venue. We used the words “the cart” in emails and phone calls for months leading up to our wedding, and the owner never once told us that we weren’t getting a cart. We never would have paid 2500 for just bartending service wine & beer for 100 people. We specifically chose The Bar Cart CT because we wanted a cute cart. The owner refused to give us a refund and kept insisting that we didn’t pay for the cart. Again, the owner never said anything about the cart not being included in our contract despite multiple opportunities to communicate that, nor does our contract say that the cart was not included in our package. Apparently the cart would have only costed an extra 250, and if the owner had just told us that in advance we obviously would have paid for it. Again, we were consistently communicating with him about “the cart” and he never said anything to make us think we weren’t getting one. This was by the far the worst communication we had with a vendor. I would highly recommend saving yourself the headache and work with another company. In addition to that mess, it became clear in our conversations with the owner that he is transphobic. He tried to push us to not pick Bud Light as one of our drinks because the company did an ad with a trans influencer. He joked that not one client had picked that beer since the ad came out. I wouldn’t give him my business again, even if the other issue hadn’t happened.

My wife and I hired Debbie for our wedding and we were thrilled!! Debbie made sure that every thing we and our guests would want would be available and the cocktails she made were amazing! The energy and kindness she brought to our event really made it feel like she was an old friend to us all just sharing in the celebration. Great drinks, great aesthetic, great personality. 10/10 would recommend!
