The Barefoot Bride

e new location is beautiful and the lighting where you try on dresses is perfect. These girls definitely know how to make you feel special and they are so friendly. The prices are also very reasonable and they provide a list of trusted seamstresses.

he life of me) but she was OUTSTANDING!! I told her what style dress I liked and BOOM! I said yes to the SECOND dress she brought me! I highly recommend them to everyone who asked me about my dress and where I got it from. You won't regret going here to find your dress!

recommend 10/10!

me feel comfortable, and stay within my budget. After just an hour, I was able to find an incredible dress (a dress I never would have thought to pick on my own) and walk away with so much joy and confidence. I'm so happy to be a Barefoot Bride!

ahead of time. Due to some serious medical issues and treatments, the dress would no longer work, even with alterations. I called the barefoot bride sobbing 20 days before my wedding and explained my situation. They got me in the next day and pulled every single dress that fit my style and could be worn off the floor with minimal alterations. They ended up pulling the dress that I initially wanted a when I first got engaged and I said yes within 20 minutes of coming through the door. I am forever grateful for their attention to detail and personalized bridal experiences!!!!

n’t go anywhere else in Memphis, Joelle has built a wonderful shop that no one can compete with, they take the time to find what you want and make sure it’s you! I’ve been sending everyone I know there!

y anything, because my dress was at Barefoot Bride! And she was right! My family and friends sipped champagne while I comfortably tried on dresses until I found the one. It was a perfect day and only took an hour. Thank you!

get, 10/10!

chesse Of Cambridge feel to it. Nikki was My sales associate and she was just wonderful and so much fun. Had us laughing the whole time! I highly recommend The Barefoot Bride to bride in the Memphis Area! I got a deal on My dress and My veil! They are wonderful ladies in that store! We plan on sending my sister their for her wedding next year! We love them so much! Thank you Barefoot Bride for being amazing and making My wedding Day so special!

the need for rules, I would just like to know that I wasn’t going to get by with it before I took everyone. All in all it was a great experience. They really focus on body positivity and unique brides.

the public so you, the few people you bring, and your personal "dress-whisperer" can find the perfect dress. Joelle, the owner, was super nice, and Amy, my dress-whisperer, was super kind and never showed me anything over my budget. When the dress came in a little bigger than expected, everyone there went above and beyond to make it right. I highly recommend starting your dress-shopping here! It's worth a trip to Memphis!

of 'the' dress and it was the only place I went because I found my dress at my first appointment. Owner, Joelle, is AMAZING. She's laid back, making you feel comfortable and at home, and pulls lovely options based on what you think you're looking for and what you didn't even know you were looking for! Friends who were brides before me had terrible stories about their dress shopping experience, but mine was very positive! Thank you, Joelle, for making it a fun and positive experience! Go see her and she'll take care of you.

n the store for your hour long appointment- it seems short but trust me it’s totally enough time! I tried on about 20 dresses. I ended up buying my dress here and it was something I never would have picked out on my own! They guided me to dresses that worked well with my body type and I am absolutely in love with my gown. (Valued at $1,600 but I got it for $875) once my appointment was over I wanted to pick a matching veil and they let me put my dress back on in a separate fitting room out front as to not disturb the bride whose appointment was after mine and they let me browse their veil room as long as I wanted and helped me find the perfect match! It’s a one stop shop and the staff is so sweet and helpful!

sses. My consultant at the Barefoot Bride told me about the tear in the side (where it would be taken in so no big deal) and gave me $100 off because of it. After finding the tear, she inspected the dress and said there was nothing else wrong with it. I trusted her and did not look at it closely myself before leaving the store. When I got home, I noticed a tear in the tulle part of the illusion neck, three small holes in the netting that overlays the bodice, and the unraveling of at least a dozen of the appliques on the skirt. If you’re not a perfectionist, this will be no big deal. 2. Research the dress before you buy. The tag on the dress I bought claimed the retail price was $1999, so I thought I was getting 50% off. According to theKnot.com, this dress retailed for $1500-$1999 AND included a sash (it appears theKnot.com gets these descriptions STRAIGHT off the designer’s website). I questioned the Barefoot Bride about this because mine was sold with no sash, and the owner assured me it did not originally include the sash because Essence “generally sells sashes separately.” Since this dress is discontinued, it’s her word against my research, but curiously enough the Barefoot Bride did have this exact belt (retails $159) in stock and could sell it to me. My point is to not necessarily believe the discount. 3. Be confident in what you want, regardless of its popularity. For the most part, my appointment went really well. Out of the eight bridal consultants I’ve had, I’d rank her at 4. She listened and was very helpful with finding a dress. Looking for a veil was a different story. I was interested in a veil with a blusher but was hesitant to ask about it because I knew it was not all that common. When I asked my consultant about it, she questioned me, said it reminded her of a mosquito net, and laughed. Although she let me try on one, at that point I felt so self-conscious about it that I went with a single layer veil. Now I’m regretting letting her influence me. Just be confident in your opinions and let no one persuade you—it’s YOUR day. I gave the Barefoot Bride 3 stars, not to be a bridezilla, but because I wish I had thought about these things prior to shopping. My experience here wasn’t all negative. They have beautiful dresses, give you their undivided attention, and really do want you to love your dress. After I decided against the dress I bought, the owner went above what was required to help me find another dress and I am really grateful for that.

and ordered it and placed my deposit. Come to find out just 4 weeks later they were closing all stores and orders would not be made and delivered. I was in tears this weekend with the thought of having to find a dress again knowing it wouldn't be like the first one. After some searching I found the website for the barefoot bride advertising my dream dress in my size! I emailed the store and received a call back within 20 minutes. They were so sympathetic to the whole situation and so willing to help anyway they could... Well they had my dress and could ship it to Me! She text me pictures of the dress sp i could see it a verify thag it was in fact my dress.I was over the moon and broke down in tears realizing I was going to get my dream dress! So I may have started out as an Alfred Angelo Bride but I am forever going to associate myself as a barefoot bride!

), and was completely overwhelmed. So when my mother and sister and I walked into BB and we were the only customers there, we were already feeling better about the whole wedding dress shopping experience:) We were greeted and immediately got to business. Based on my likes and dislikes, the wedding "theme", and my measurements, our sales lady put me in a dressing room and brought me 3 dresses. Based on those ones, she brought out maybe a total of 5-6 dresses and I would have happily gotten married in 2-3 of those dresses! She did a wonderful job of anticipating what I would love. To top it all off, the prices were fantastic and I walked out the door with my dress in hand. She also recommended several alterations places in the area that all deal specifically with wedding gown alterations. I would recommend the Barefoot Bride to ANY bride who is shopping for wedding gowns!

perfect dress then the owner found exactly what I was looking for! I can't thank her enough.

ed and all the girls loved them! Myra was very helpful to work with. She is very organized and on top of things, which alleviates a lot of stress when planning a wedding. Danielle was also so helpful while the girls were in there to try on dresses. She had a good eye for finding what they described they were looking for. Their hours are also accommodating if you work (open late on weekdays). Both seamstresses do amazing work and I will continue to bring my dresses there for alterations. All around this was a great experience!

k out some dresses. Once I tried them on and told her what I liked and didn't like, she pulled a dress for me and it was the one! She definitely knows what she is doing. This dress was an amazing Watters Too dress and totally affordable. She also has a great selection of sashes to go along with it.

resses (since I had no idea what style I was looking for). I'm the type to come in a get task checked off, so I walked in and walked out with a dress. It's lace and silk, and was way too big for me to even take a proper picture in for her. So she recommended a wonderful seamstress for me who repaired the dress and took it down a ton of sizes. Everyone loved my dress, thought it was vintage, and asked me who in my family had worn it before :)

absolute sweetheart, and was even willing to come back to the store when I was being indecisive!

ng the ONE). The shop was great about providing recommendations for places to use for alterations.

ill paid more than I would have liked, but got a great Watters gown at a great price.

art, prices are far less than retail AND you take your dress home right then! I have told everyone about The Barefoot Bride!

ggestions and I found the perfect dress. It was so affordable and brand new!

and kind. I found the absolute BEST dress - and a designer dress that had never been worn before - and was able to pay a better price than I would have at other places. This is definitely a shop to check out!

tiful. She is knowledgeable and honest, which is appreciated. (let's face it, nobody wants to look like toothpaste put back in the tube on their wedding day...and she will help you find the most flattering dress for your figure). She also has an affiliation with a wonderful seamstress for any alterations that need to be done.

dresses until I was happy with my choice (even though it was close to closing time), and gave me a few suggestions. Ultimately I found the best dress, and she assured me that it was possible to alter the dress, transport the dress on an airplane, etc. She was very sweet, but did not use high-pressure tactics or insert her opinion too much (although she was honest, and would let you know if a dress was not the best for you style-wise). Wonderful experience!

I got a dress that retails for over $2000 for $825. This place is growing fast and will only get better!

n the cheapest place in town. Everyone loved my dress and it was a huge money saver!
