The Barn on South Ridge is a wedding venue located in La Crescent, MN's local scenic apple orchard. The owners are the Sandvik family, who have a long and storied history in the area, dating back to when the old hickory orchards stretched across to the north end of town. The Sandvik's adore their home to such an extent that it felt wrong to keep the beautiful surroundings all for themselves. They opened their doors for wedding celebrations many years ago and look forward to welcoming you and your closest friends and family. The spacious and elegant Barn on South Ridge offers multiple gorgeous locations for indoor and outdoor ceremonies and receptions. The ridgetop views, encircled by bluff cliffs, accentuate the views of the beaming sunrise and sunsets to give your celebration an almost otherworldly feel. With a capacity of over 300 people, the venue is fully equipped to deal with smaller, intimate gatherings and larger, luxurious affairs. To begin with, The Barn on South Ridge offers free tours of the premises on the first and third Sunday of each month. This allows you to see for yourself the beauty of the area and begin visualizing your day long before the event itself. Two prearranged wedding packages are available from The Barn on South Ridge, depending on the length of your stay. The Macintosh Party Package is for a period of 24 hours to include the day of the ceremony and reception. The popular Apple Blossom Package grants access to the venue for a total of four days: two prior to the big day and one day following the epic celebration.
