The Barn at Howard Creek Farm is a rustic wedding barn venue in Howard, CO, located just 15 minutes outside of Salida. When you book your wedding with us, you and your guests will have a unique and beautiful experience. With the Sangre de Cristo mountains on your side and Arkansas River views at every turn, you will not be disappointed. Our packages include planning services, rentals, transportation for your guests and more!
Howard Creek Farm is an 1861 barn that has been standing in Northern Indiana for the past 157 years. We had it dismantled and shipped out to our idyllic property. We have had it re-assembled using 99% of the original wood. It is constructed with over 20 species of hand-hewn hardwoods and is now home to a series of beautiful venues for country-chic celebrations. Inside is a spacious, all-timber ballroom with dancing Edison bulbs that brighten the festivities, and exposed wooden frames that add to the rustic ambience of your ceremony or reception. The ranch right outside is perfect for outdoor ring exchanges and photos and is set right on the foothills of snow-capped mountains. Get all glammed up at the dressing suite inside the barn or unwind with your friends throughout the event at the newly refurbished Grain Silo.
The Barn at Howard Creek Farm has plenty of flexible packages to help you fulfill your "I do" moment. These include full access to the 11-acre farm, farm tables and chairs, and antique décor to complement your countryside vows. Your caterers can also prepare your meals in the on-site kitchen, and with setup and cleanup covered on the day, you get to enjoy your new chapter to the fullest.

Our September wedding at the Barn at Howard Creek Farm was everything we hoped for and more. First, the Barn is absolutely gorgeous, and the mountain views are unbelievable. Second...
, Salida (which is only about 15 minutes from the venue) is such a cute mountain town for the bridal party, family, and guests to explore in the days before and after the wedding. Lastly, and perhaps most importantly, Aly and Orlin (the owners of the venue) are so wonderful. They have thought of just about everything to make weddings at the Barn run smoothly and to make your wedding day great--picturesque ceremony site, amazing farm tables, cute string lighting, two bars, a lovely bridal suite, and nice bathrooms are all included at this venue. Aly and Orlin were communicative, flexible, accommodating, and also just fun people to be around. Also, we are a gay couple, and we can confidently say that this venue and the owners are LGBT friendly--inviting and welcoming to all types of couples. We could not have found a better venue, and we are so happy we got married at the Barn at Howard Creek Farm!

ple in place that have worked with her before to make things run smoothly. If you aren’t sure whether or not you need a coordinator for at least a day of, let me tell you that Aly is your gal! We had a few snags on our day of and she made sure things were smoothed out and went well without needing to get us involved. She has truly created a wonderful wedding venue and experience for your big day!

or as well and couldn't have been happier I did. Aly is kind, super responsive, knowledgable, organized, detail-oriented, patient, and flexible. She and Orlin made us feel at ease and excited from day one when we toured the venue with masks on in the start of Covid, which continued as we did our walk through with my mom, and finally on our wedding day. This place and these people are incredible, and you definitely want them as your wedding day team!!!
