Overnight stays can be booked at a number of options that are located within a short driving distance. The staff here can provide recommendations based on couples’ needs and preferences. For events, tables and chairs are provided, allowing hosts to focus on aesthetic details and arrangements. This was the absolute worst place I have ever been for a wedding. The flies were ridiculous there you could smell something dead. The owners should have shown up and checked everyt...
hing before the wedding. The rental fee is outrageous for just a plain barn. The rooms where the bridal party got ready people almost fell through the floors. The wedding by the pond… you have to bring the bride, that has her hair done and dress on has to be hid under a blanket do the groom does not see her. To pay 4,000- 5,000 or more for this place, save you money and go elsewhere. I’d be embarrassed to say this was a wedding venue . I’m only leaving a one star because I had to to move forward but I really would rate it negative 10 stars
We decided not to move forward with hosting our wedding at The Barn at Pineridge, and we want to share our experience so that other couples can make informed decisions before booki...

Why we canceled
Construction delays & concealment: Projects and updates were not completed on the timeline originally communicated to us. When I asked how they planned to conceal unfinished bathrooms during events, I was told a white curtain would be put up to cover the construction.
Contractors on site: During a visit, contractors were openly smoking marijuana on the premises and then left without doing any work. When we raised this, one of the owners appeared unconcerned and said it “happens all the time.”
Cleanliness issues: The barn still had basketball court markings on the floor, bird droppings, and spider webs. We were told it had “just been cleaned,” which did not match what we observed.
Landscaping / grounds: There was little to no landscaping when we visited, despite being told the venue was “booked every weekend.” The grounds did not look maintained to the standard we expected for wedding events.
Dismissive responses: When I mentioned these concerns as reasons to back out, we were told “The addition to the barn is not and never was something that was promised to ANY client, it’s rather a well appreciated ‘bonus’ to all the current weddings thus far.” That felt dismissive and made us feel unappreciated rather than heard.
No day-of support: The venue provides no assistance with setup or cleanup — everything falls entirely on you or the outside vendors you hire.
Poor communication: We reached out multiple times via email and text with questions and often received no response. We had to send several follow-ups (sometimes a week or more) to get any reply even after we were trying to process a cancellation of the contract.
Refund & release issues
After paying $4,900 in advance and attempting to exit our contract nearly 16 months before our date, the only refund options offered were:
a flat $1,500 partial refund; or
a conditional refund only if the venue rebooked our dates — and only if we agreed to give up our right to freedom of speech by not posting reviews or discussing our experience.
We found that request inappropriate and disrespectful. In the end, we chose to forgo any refund rather than sign away our right to speak truthfully.
Advice to others
We’re sharing this so other couples can make a fully informed decision. Read the contract carefully, ask specific questions about construction timelines, cleaning and landscaping, and confirm what day-of support (if any) is included before you book.
The barn at pineridge is at a very nice location. The suites to get ready in are nice and clean. The fan, A/C and mini fridge were something we definitely used. The windows all ope...
ned but there were no screens so we did have some bugs. The grooms cabin did have a floorboard that looked like, if stepped on at the right angle, would have broke. The bathrooms were clean and easy to access with aid of the golf carts they drove to get people across the parking lot. The barn itself was just enough room for 160 people, and all of the food. Thankfully the weather was accommodating
to let us have the doors open. The fire pit out back was nice and large, we did provide our own firewood. We were allowed to fish the pond on site which was a nice bonus. The grass had not been mowed for what seemed like 2 weeks. There are lots of low spots that held water so it was wet, rain the entire day before did not help this. We did have a couple birds in the barn that fell to their demise and a couple guests did get pooped on.
The tables and chairs were nice, after we cleaned them with a rag and some water. The venue did provide some plastic drop clothes to cover the tables with after they were set up to keep the birdpoop off. We had to set up and tear down everything. There was no help from the vender other than the golf cart rides to the bathroom and up from the cabins. There is so much good potential at the venue, I just feel like some of it is not living up to its full potential.
There was good communication from the venue. We texted a lot and they were able to answer all of my questions and concerns.

e staff was so kind and helpful as well! 10/10 would recommend to anyone looking for a venue!
I was also among the few that saw the Barn before they had renovated the area. The way that Melissa and Jeremy had their goals laid out was so inspiring to see in small business ow...
ners! Even before seeing everything done, I believed that they would have a beautiful area! The end result: the area became so beautiful and my guests loved the area as well as my husband and I! You can tell that they are just starting to put everything together, but Covid has made things hard for everyone, so I believe that this venue has so much room to grow for many more events to come! Communication was always there and up front about all of the details. The day ran so smoothly and the guys in charge of the golf carts were so friendly and were there for anyone who needed a ride at any point! They were the comedy of the party! I can't wait to see what the future holds for this family!
I had the best wedding I could have ever imagined and a lot of it was thanks to this beautiful venue I stumbled upon last year and it's wonderful owners! When I first toured the ve...
nue, not everything was complete, however the raw beauty of the barn and the scenery surrounding it made it easy to imagine just how much better it would be when everything was finished. I was in close contact with Melissa about down payments and the schedule of when payments would need to be made. The contract website she used laid everything out, it was easily understood and manageable. Melissa was so kind and personable I had no doubt in my mind that everything would be amazing for my wedding! As the date drew closer, Melissa and I talked about how many tables and chairs would be needed, how many extra tables I would have to put decorations and food out on, what vendors I had and how they would all work at the barn. She was on her own family vacation, but still made sure everything was perfect for the day of my wedding. I had my rehearsal dinner at the barn the night before and we got the venue from 3-9 (for an additional cost) to set up and then rehearse. Melissa and Jeremy were both there and helping us set up! They made many trips to grab more chairs for us, helped move things around, were outside working on the grounds and just super accommodating for whatever we needed. The day of the wedding was absolutely perfect. The bridal parties were in their separate getting ready cabins all morning and I didn't worry about a single thing. Melissa came and checked in early on and then her husband Jeremy and brother Nick were there the entire time to drive the golf carts around and help with venue related issues. One thing I will never forget is that I had ordered a floral piece for the ceremony arch. When it arrived not many people were around to help put it up. Jeremy and Nick took it upon themselves to hang it up for me, which they did not have to do at all! And it looked amazing! Everything that this barn comes with (tables, head tables reception and ceremony chairs, restrooms, getting ready cabins, golf carts, parking, light, ceremonial arch and just all around beautiful scenery) and for the price that it's given is SO INCREDIBLY WORTH IT! Melissa and Jeremy are continually working hard to improve the barn in any way possible, but it's already a diamond in the rough. I highly recommend booking this venue for your wedding as soon as possible!

king on improvements for the venue, but the barn itself and the suites for getting ready are renovated and modern. We had a great time at the barn for our ceremony and reception. They have great patio spaces overlooking a lake for a nice getaway from the party inside. The property is very spacious with a lot of acerage. The only con is that they did not have dumpsters and we had to have our family dispose of all of the trash at the end of the night. Otherwise it was a great and fun night at The Barn at Pineridge!
I had my wedding at this location and I would relive this day over and over again!!! This location is very beautiful, simple, secluded and rustic. It has amazing places for picture...
