Desiree and her team helped ensure our wedding went as smoothly as possible. From booking the venue, to cleaning up on the big day, to tying up all loose ends the following week, we were very grateful to have their expertise and kindness as we navigated the world of weddings and wedding planning. Whether it was getting their opinions on the details or having their help executing all our wedding hopes, I never felt like they were doing whatever they just felt was easiest. Exceptional service by this venue. The owners are very sweet and reflect how warm and inviting the property is. The venue itself has much to offer- it is beautiful and has many thoughtful touches in design incorporated throughout. Desiree as the direct contact for communications through the planning process kept everything moving smoothly and responded to email questions or requested changes promptly. I knew immediately from our initial tour date this venue was special and would take good care of us and they did not disappoint.

We got married at the Barn at Riverbend this past month and It was the best decision we made for our wedding!! We really wanted an outdoor wedding that didn't have overwhelming "farm" vibes. This venue really hits the head on the nail. We didn't do any decorating outside of florals because the natural setting was just so perfect. Everyone keeps remarking that our wedding truly looked like something out of a fairy tale. The wood tables and decor that the venue does already provide feels so authentic. I wouldn't change a thing about how the venue looks. Desiree and the owners were also so accommodating with all our ideas. They didn't blink an eye when we said we wanted to do something a little different and have karaoke instead of the typical dance party at our reception. They even offered our guests complimentary coffee service when the temperature dropped 40 degrees two days before and allowed us to switch our signature drink to a hot toddy. Our day of coordinator had never worked a wedding here before, but was so incredibly impressed with how professional the owners and venue coordinator were. Everything could not have run more smoothly. Even though It was cold, everything was still so perfect. Please - RUN, don't walk to sign a contract here.

We couldn't have been happier with the Barn at Riverbend as our venue. The setting itself is absolutely STUNNING and it really speaks for itself. We knew we wouldn't need to worry about decorations because of all the natural greenery, string lights, and sound of running water in the background. It was the first venue my partner and I toured when we started planning, and I asked him while we were there if we should even bother looking anywhere else, because we had already fallen in love with it! But beyond that, Kris, Desiree, Jon (the DJ), and the entire staff there really went above and beyond in terms of answering our questions and making us feel relaxed and stress-free the day of. Everything ran so smoothly and we were in such good hands! Highly, highly recommend!!

Getting married at the Barn at Riverbend was an absolutely- and I don't use this word lightly- magical experience for us. We knew right away from our first tour of the location that it was the place for us. The venue staff was professional, kind, and competent- special thanks to Desiree for everything she did to help!- and they were especially helpful in connecting us to vendors they had worked with for similar weddings. They showed the professionalism and experience that one would expect from a team that does hundreds of weddings a year, yet every time we worked with them, we felt as though they showed us a singular focus and dedication to making our wedding a success. Our wedding was a watershed moment in our lives, and we could not have asked for a better venue for that moment than the Barn at Riverbend.

We got married on 8/6/22 and I’m SO happy we chose The Barn at Riverbend! Even though it was a 100 degree day, they made sure to make everything go as smoothly as possible and made sure to take all of our requests into consideration when planning. I would definitely recommend Hannah Wilson as a coordinator as she does many weddings at this venue. It was so worth it to have a stress free day and she went above and beyond to make sure our day was perfect!

We absolutely loved working with the Barn at Riverbend. The entire property is so beautiful, romantic, and intimate. We fell in love from our first tour. The owners and venue manager were wonderful to work with, always responding quickly to any questions and helping to make the entire wedding process easier. We ended up having to move our ceremony indoors because of rain, but the indoor space is just as magical as the outdoor space. After the rain cleared, our guests loved walking around the property whether they were taking a dance break by the fire pit or enjoying the twinkle lights at the ceremony and cocktail space. The venue includes so many amazing features like the bridal suite and man cave or the gorgeous wood tables. The Barn at Riverbend exceeded all of our expectations and we cannot recommend it enough!

The Barn at Riverbend offers you so much for your wedding venue! Each detail of their wedding space has been beautifully and meticulously put together! We got married at the Barn at Riverbend in October 2021. This venue was an absolute DREAM! The staff and owners were so amazing to work with from the very first venue tour. Desiree (venue manager) went above and beyond her duties to ensure that our big day was perfect. Living out of state, the venue and manager made sure to make our tour feel so special and answered our countless questions that we had leading up until the wedding day. The venue is absolutely breathtaking and such a different pace from your typical downtown KC wedding. The scenery around the venue is so unique and cannot be found anywhere else. When my now wife and I were searching for wedding venues in the autumn of 2019, The Barn at River Bend was the first venue we visited. As it turns out, we did not even need to view any others. After touring the site, we knew that we did not want our wedding to be anywhere else than The Barn. The photographs do not do justice to how beautiful the venue is. From the reception area overlooking the river to the rustic groomsmen cabin to the ceremony site nestled gently beneath the trees, there is no part of The Barn that is not breathtaking. We were fortunate to have a perfectly sunny day for our wedding, and our family members and guests could not stop complementing how lovely and peaceful everything seemed. But as much as The Barn itself contributed to our ideal wedding experience, that experience would not have been possible without the amazing staff at the Barn. Kris, the owner, was so gracious and helpful during our walkthrough. Jon, the DJ who works with The Barn, met with us multiple times to craft our music playlist and set a timeline for the reception. The reception and dancing would not have gone as well as they did without Jon's help. And finally, Desiree, the Venue Manger for the Barn, was great to work with. She helped us every step of the way, answering all of our questions and generally helping us stay calm during the whole process. We very much appreciated her attention to detail. In short, we give The Barn at River Bend our highest recommendation. If you are looking for a special, even magical, wedding experience, then there is no venue in the Kansas City area that can compete with The Barn.

They have prepared for every little detail or possible weather complication. Desiree was great to work with and was always available for all of our questions. When our hotel venue cancelled 10 days before the wedding due to new Covid restrictions, The Barn at Riverbend reopened their already-winterized venue, on November 28th 2020, and hosted our wedding! The owners are amazingly kind and helpful, and we were deeply grateful. With lots of heaters, a lot of help, and LOTS of prayers for a warmish day, we had a beautiful outdoor "Covid-safe" wedding. We will never forget their kindness! It's a gorgeous place to get married, even when there are no leaves on the trees. Highly recommended!

We are so glad we chose to have our wedding at the Barn at Riverbend! Everything about the venue is beautiful and exactly what we wanted. Not only that, but Desiree was beyond helpful during the whole process. The bridal suit is large and comfortably held 12 of us all day. We loved that there was a separate room for hair and makeup so we could eat and hang out in the main area while the girls were taking care of business in the other room. When we forgot a speaker for music Kris (one of the owners) actually lent us one of hers. She really does want you to have the best day! The guys loved their cabin as well with the deck and the easy access to the outside games. We loved hearing from our guests about how much they loved the venue and what a great time they had. I also HIGHLY suggest using their teardown service as it made our night a million times easier. We can't thank Kris, Kip, and Desiree enough for our absolutely perfect wedding ❤️

The venue itself is gorgeous and extremely well thought through! It was great to have the ceremony and reception all in one place so we didn’t have to book them separately. Although it was more than we’d have spent separately, having the bar packages available so we didn’t have to worry about running out of anything was helpful! The Barn at Riverbend was the first and only venue we looked at when planning our wedding. Even under the veil of these turbulent and uncertain times the staff displayed true selflessness! They were laser focused in their attention to detail and in meeting our needs. This took a great amount of courage! Our happy couple and their entire wedding party were treated like royalty. Each of our guest felt right at home. There was such a sense of peace that resonated throughout the entire event. It was my observation that upon leaving the venue many of our guests burdens seemed lighter. This venue is amazing! The venue and space is jaw-dropping! Our guests loved the venue and thought it was beautiful and everyone asked how we found it. I love that it is secluded. It is a hidden jewel outside the metro. I love how you can see a flowing river and there is space to walk around. The bridal suite is so special for the girls to ready and have fun. The groom’s cabin is a great space for the guys! All the people who work there were so helpful and made us feel so special! I would recommend this venue to anyone! It was so beautiful!
