eemed to be for us. When we took a tour of the Schwinn Barn we had this gut feeling and we knew this place was perfect. The Barn is huge and magnificent with lights hanging to give that rustic romantic feel as well as the lights on the wall what has antique shovels to keep that barn feel. The back opens to large stone steps that overlook the crops. With the sunset just right past the water it’s amazing for pictures. The ceremony area gave us exactly what we were looking for, openness but shade in the heat from the overhead trees. The ground is Astroturf so it will always have that beautiful green grass. Plus for the ladies that mean no sinking in with our heels! Win! The Bridal suit was great, there was a bathroom and plenty of AC. The barn did not have AC but with both the front and back doors open it gave a great breeze. All the staff there was very helpful in our many questions and helped us figure out everything that we needed to know. They were on site the whole night and assisted in making our day magical. We loved the barn and all that they had to offer and we are so glad that we chose to have our special day there

Additionally, they started blowing out candles and clearing tables at about 10pm with a majority of guests still enjoying themselves. The owner did call me and asked what he could do to make it right. I said nothing. We paid thousands of dollars and stayed within the rules to rent your venue for 12 hours. Weddings are a once in a lifetime deal. Dont interput someone elses wedding. RUDE.

Not only were we interrupted, but at the end of his little speech, he said 'Thank you all for coming out, have a good night', like the evening was over. Also, he started blowing out candles and clearing tables at 10pm. There were still far too many guests at that time to constitute such a thing. They want you winding down at 11 and out by midnight. We had arrangements with family and friends to get the place cleaned up and cleared out. Let us enjoy our evening like grown adults. I did call and talk to the owner about it a few weeks after. He asked what he could do to make it right. Unfortunately, you dont get redos on your wedding night and me asking for a refund wasnt going to fly. So nothing was done about it, other than an apology over the phone. A couple of other things to note. We were told when we rented the venue that chairs would be setup for us morning of. That did not happen, even though they wanted an accurate head count the week before. We also rented the table linens through them. They showed up 3 hours late and forced several uninvolved people to do last minute setup on all of the tables for the reception. Finally, the kitchen is not a 'chefs' kitchen as advertised. The venue looks amazing, so they got that part right. It is very charming and we had a gorgeous wedding. My bride was beautiful and the wedding went off just as planned. For such a once in a lifetime experience, it just blows my mind that a stranger thinks they have a right to interrupt your wedding unannounced, in a venue that you paid over three thousand dollars to use for less than 24 hours..

Every weekend leading up to my wedding had been cold and rainy, I wasn't sure what to expect but I didn't stress about having an outdoor wedding because plan B would have been inside the barn. Dinner and dancing were so much fun in the barn and our 200+ guests were comfortable through the whole event. Jay and the family were a joy to work with and made sure everything went just right!

Whenever we had any question at all Jay was only a text message away. The venue and drink package pricings are in a league of their own. You won't find anything like what the Schwinn offers! Also, they don't have a lot of the "requirements" most venues have. In fact, they take care of most of it for you! Parking lot attendants, bartenders, security, clean-up crew, etc. The additions of the post ceremony tractor ride and bon fire during our reception were nice touches you won't find in the city! All in all, we couldn't have asked for a better setting, but more importantly a better family, to share our big day with! Truly unparalleled hospitality! place is popular. The owners (Jay and Joe Schwinn) are very accommodating and really work with you. They have a gem and we loved starting our life together at this special place. There is a separate outside ceremony space, bridal house for the gals to ready, tables and chairs included and optional addons for fun. There is a bar and you can bring in your own liquor or buy one of their packages. A loft space for the DJ or band. There is a Kitchen is available for your caterer. The sunflower fields were in full bloom and our guests enjoyed taking photos out there. It feels like family going here. My day of coordinator was awesome and I completely credit her for bringing all the details in my head to life. Sarah and Evan are the house staff with several available packages. She had a baby 4 days before my wedding!!! She took care of everything and I mean everything. We meet twice before the date to brainstorm and align all the players. The timeline was spot on alllll day. We were checked on all night and took care of any need, even cut and served cake! Worth.every.penny and then some. I didn't worry about anything - not one thing.

From decorating to coordinating us down the aisle and handling all vendors the day of, the day was stress free due to their hard work. We booked the hay ride directly after the ceremony to take some country pictures and allow the guests enough time to get in the barn. Jay made this part fun and it was a great way to celebrate for a half hour with just our squad before the party began. I could go on and on, but if you've always wanted an outdoor rustic barn wedding, this is the place to choose.

ur guests commented on how beautiful the venue was. If you are looking for a quiet, beautiful place in the country, this is it. The venue is so gorgeous that there isn't a need for a lot of decorations. The bridal house was beautiful and we had plenty of room for me and my 7 bridesmaids. We had on site hair and makeup also and they had plenty of space to work. The bridal house was also a great place to cool off with some air conditioning. There isn't any AC in the barn. It was almost 90 degrees outside on my wedding day, but the big fan in the barn kept the air flowing and it was pretty cool inside of the barn. The "Meadow" (ceremony location) was beautiful and the trees provided shade for the guests and kept it from getting too hot and windy. Jay and Joe were so helpful with tearing down tables and chairs. Jay and Joe were ready to step up to the plate during the ceremony and reception in case anything went wrong. We are so glad that we had our wedding here. We absolutely LOVED it!!

The loft area was perfect to put our DJ so our guests had more room to dance. The bridal cottage is super cute and had a ton of space for my bridal party and I to get ready and hang out until the ceremony. We truly loved getting married at The Barn at Schwinn Produce Farm and would recommend this venue to anyone!

This venue offers the most flexibility of any we could find in KC allowing us to decorate the way we wished, use the caterer we wanted, and bring in our own alcohol. We ended up using their extremely affordable bar package modified for us since we were bringing in our own wine. Their team was super easy going the day of and the brothers stayed until the very end helping get the barn cleaned up. They even let us park a van overnight when we ran out of sober drivers. Jay and Joe, we really felt like you were our family. You went above and beyond for us. Thank you for making our dream wedding come true!

Not only did Jay answer all my questions and annoying phone calls, we were allowed to come out to the farm as many times as we needed to before our wedding to show family and friends the space and to plan accordingly! On our wedding day, we were allowed into the barn to set up at 8:00 am and we had access to everything we needed. All of our guests couldn't say enough good things about the barn and property-they all loved it and thought it was absolutely beautiful. Jay, Joe, and their family were amazing and we couldn't have asked for a better company to help us put on our wedding!!

The day of the wedding they were there the whole time helping set-up chairs, tiding up the venue, etc. Not only did they make us feel 110% comfortable but they were so generous and kind throughout our reception as well. Checking on us every chance they could and making sure us and our guests were doing okay! Once we left they were there to help our families take care of things and stepped in on any issues. I would recommend this venue to anyone and everyone! It's one thing to have a beautiful venue but it takes it to a whole different level when you truly enjoyed your vendors!!

They provided me many opportunities to come out and view the barn and check things out. We used their bartender and their drink package for water tea and lemonade. They worked so well with our vendors and reccomended who they had used before at the barn and loved. The new decorator offered so many cute things to make our wedding perfect. This venue is perfect, the grove we got married in was shaded and cool in mid august. The bridal house was nice and cool and was large enough to hold all of my people. It's a great spot to watch your guests arrive through the window. Our men got ready in the barn and they liked all the room. The barn is gorgeous and with the fan going and doors open it stayed cool. So many of our guests said they loved our venue and how beautiful it was. I would use them for any event in the future! Thank you Schwinn!

They made things personable (not like other places where they are just there for the money.) I cannot even begin to start with how much I thank each employee for their time the place and the staff made for my dream wedding day! Also there is a bridal house on site that made it convenient for getting ready and talk about an easy but awesome entrance for your aisle walk it makes! Was close enough to the hotels to make out of towners easily accessible for places to stay. I love this place and the people there and will definitely will book again if I have other events! ok early! Let me start with the staff there, Jay is so helpful with every step of the way. He gave us the tour on a snowy day in December and was very honest about every little detail. His brother Joe was just as helpful on the big day. The grounds are breathtaking. The grove that you may choose to hold your ceremony in has astro turf, so even if it rains an hour prior to the wedding, it'll be dry and not mushy under your feet. It's also surrounded by trees, so during the summer there's plenty of shade. The bridal house on the property is perfect to fit your bridesmaids, hair stylists, mothers, etc. It's air conditioned as well which is beneficial for hot summer weddings (like mine)! On to the barn, it's gorgeous inside and out. One downside, it's not air conditioned. However, they make up for this by opening up all the windows and big barn doors to allow for air flow and there are fans provided to help provided additional flow. They will set up cute Italian lights for you for $50. They also have great drink packages for your guests to enjoy as well. We chose to have numerous beers and numerous wines as well as water, tea, lemonade, and soda for I believe $8 a person. They have an on site kitchen for your food vendors to use as well. They provide the tables and chairs for you and all you have to do is set them up, they do the break down as well clean up for you at the end of the night. You get the whole venue from 8 am until midnight, which was more than enough time for our big day. I honestly can not think of a bad thing to say about this venue. Our wedding day was absolutely perfect because of them. If you're looking for that rustic/country/modern-rustic look, this is your place!

at different barns in the KC area, and Schwinn was the best barn that I could find to match my style. Other barns either required you to use all of their services, making it super expensive, or were too rustic for my taste, and Schwinn was right in the middle! I received numerous comments about how beautiful the barn was, and I couldn't agree more. The upkeep is marvelous, and the Schwinn brothers make sure that everything is how you want it to be. I got married on November 1st, and there were leaves all over the meadow. Jay offered to clear off the leaves! It's the little things like that, to me, that really put the services they provide at the top. I love everything about this venue and will refer Schwinn to anyone looking to have a rustic or country style wedding!

The entire grounds were available for us to use for our wedding photos. The bridal house is perfect for getting ready. The barn was just perfect for our reception. I can not say enough about this place. A Marriott recently opened within 5 miles! If you are wanting an outdoor wedding I highly recommend choosing Schwinn! It is perfect!
