Despite a massive snowstorm and continued snowfall during our event, the parking lot was plowed and the patio was cleared of snow so that our guests could step out and enjoy the fire pits and crisp mountain air. The owner Jayme was exceptionally kind and accommodating, even allowing us to host our event on an off season weekend! The manager Sandy was a joy to work with. She was present to greet us on arrival early in the day to help us set up our decorations and get things ready for the bar service she runs (The Pour Trailer - also great!). Overall, a beautiful venue that we highly recommend!

bartender that you can use. Which, when you see a venue as busy as this one, you would think that this bartender/manager would be able to help at least somewhat craft the cocktail menu or at least have a basic margarita recipe to go off of, nope. Here we are planning a whole wedding and the person you’re paying almost $200/hr can’t help come up with a recipe for the most basic cocktail known to man. When it came to being any sort of flexible, helping us in any way, the manager was the opposite of helpful. Every question that we asked her prior to we did get answers to, but it was veiled with doing as little work as possible from her end. Or, it was going to come at an additional charge. Our day of coordinator works at that venue very frequently, who was AWESOME, knows not only the owners but Sandy as well. There is a mandatory meeting at the venue at 8 AM the morning of your wedding. Since our day of coordinator has worked there so much we asked if she could either attend or we could skip the meeting. Which, we were allowed to do, however, Sandy was insistent on getting all of the alcohol for the wedding at 8 o’clock in the morning. Since no one was gonna be there, it was going to put undue stress on our wedding party, we then agreed we would bring the alcohol at 9:30 when we came for Rehearsal. We provided the contact for my father-in-law as he would be bringing the alcohol to the pour trailer. She then circumvented us and texted my father-in-law requesting that he bring the alcohol at 8 AM even though we had agreed on 930, cool. The fact also that you are charged for somebody to maintain nonalcoholic drinks on top of whatever she wants to charge per hour left a really sour taste in our mouth. Overall, the facility is wonderful. Aside from the groom room if you can call that, I would consider it more of a broom closet that they change the wording on. However, For a “low low price” like an additional $300 you can rent out the Airbnb in the back for the day - just felt like a money grab. Overall, it was one of the best days of our lives because of the other vendors that we worked with. The venue was great as a structure, but would potentially consider getting married somewhere else given what felt like not the most honest and straightforward interactions with the team.

Sandy, Jayme, and Jim were extremely helpful each step of the way, I was so appreciative of their communication, FAQ's and helpful information. They answered all of our questions and made everything easy. I am still pinching myself that we were able to get married at such a gorgeous venue. Thank you for everything!!

a Vista. This venue has absolutely everything you need for a beautiful Colorado wedding. Communication was excellent (both with us and our vendors) and the entire process of both planning and executing a wedding were seamless. The Barn at Sunset Ranch holds a special place in our hearts.

re we traveled all the way to Buena Vista and it took us within two hours of leaving the property to call and schedule our date. I cannot express how in awe our guests were from this venue! The fact that you get the venue from 8am until midnight the day of your wedding is unheard of and was an incredible perk. The Pour Trailer and recommended vendors that Jim and Jaymie have listed on their website made the day the best we could have hoped for! We have no regrets about having our wedding at the Barn at Sunset Ranch!

All of our guests were amazed with the beautiful views of the venue and it makes for the most gorgeous photos. The attention to detail the day of the wedding amazed me as well. As a bride you want every small detail to be perfect and they certainly went above and beyond. My husband and I are beyond thankful for the wonderful hospitality provided by Jamie and her team. They made sure our wedding day went perfect. You won't regret booking here!

dors and they did great! The ability to use the whole venue from 8am to 12am is a huge plus. In some pictures you will see a white tent, which is not there anymore. Some cons. The groom's room is super small and not manageable for all the guys to get ready in. The bar your required to use will not supply water or maintain a water station which I thought was odd. Your food vendor will have to do that. They will not set up the tables a chairs for you which was frustrating, so I had to rely on others to help me with that and it was stressful. Communication could be better throughout the hole process. the wedding packet we got, was pretty outdated by the time we had our wedding. When we booked we were told we got to use the small room at the back of the venue which has a bedroom, but they we were told that is wasn't included and it was an extra cost. The room also is a ridiculous time frame. You pay a lot for less than 24 hours if you were going to use it. Overall, I would recommend the barn. Compared to other venues, the price seems to be on par with other similar venues.

The venue lets you supply your own drinks and alcohol which really saves a lot of money. It truly was a magical day and we are very grateful to all our vendor and the Barn at Sunset Ranch.
