The Barn at Villa Venezia

Alyssa helped us on the wedding day and were awesome as well. The made the day run smoothly and updated us when guests were arriving, what was to come next and got us our food for bridal suite to enjoy from cocktail hour. Location was perfect. Not too far outside of NYC, but far enough that we felt upstate and away from the Long Island noise. Food was DELICIOUS. Our guests raved about the food and said it was better than any other wedding food they had. It was convenient having the venue, Airbnb for bridal party plus bride/groom, and the tavern for rehearsal dinner all in one spot. Really couldn’t beat that. Rehearsal dinner food was sooo good. Then, we had guests stay at the Marriott and Hampton inn 6 minutes away, and used the local school buses to transport guests. Got flowers from Adam’s farms, and cake from Adam’s farms. Easy peasy! They delivered to the venue and were really nice there. Highly recommend. Our wedding day was truly perfect. Wouldn’t have changed a thing. We had the upstairs portion of the venue, 5:30 ceremony while sun was setting in the background. The venue was clean, modern, beautiful, breathtaking, all in one. When we visited for a tour we were in immediately in love. Food tasting day was a dream too. It got us so excited for the actual wedding day. We want to visit again and highly recommend having your wedding here!!!!

omantic, and beautifully designed. • The maître d', bartenders, and day-of staff were excellent—professional, attentive, and kind. • The cocktail hour was a highlight! We received so many compliments on the food and presentation. ⚠️ Cons: • Pricing felt excessive for the location and timing. We had a Sunday daytime wedding (12–5:30 PM), but because it fell on Columbus Day weekend, it was priced as a full Saturday event—nearly $300 per person after tax and gratuity, just for catering and bar. Most businesses and banks are open that day, so it felt like a stretch to classify it as a holiday. • Ceremony fees and lack of transparency. The onsite ceremony fee was $2,500 for just 30 minutes and included only guest chairs—no décor or staging. I originally planned to hold the ceremony outdoors in the courtyard, which is lovely but the ceremony space is bare. I asked multiple times what couples typically do for décor, and was told “most people don’t add anything because the landscape is pretty.” Two weeks before the wedding, I learned from another bride that the venue offers staging services—backdrops, décor, and more—through their in-house vendor. I had already exceeded my budget, but to avoid a bare setup, I dropped another $2,000. Had I known earlier, I would’ve planned differently and saved money and stress. The company also offered a beautiful and budget-friendly centerpiece setup that I would’ve gladly chosen. Unfortunately, by the time I found out about it, I had already designed my own tablescape and purchased all the materials—which I then had to transport back and forth myself. • Indoor ceremony space felt cramped. Due to weather, our ceremony was moved to the upstairs Farmview room. It looked nice, but was tight for our 90 guests. Without the staging, it would have been a major letdown. • Food quality didn’t match the tasting. At our tasting, the entrées were fantastic. On the wedding day, however, most guests chose the Filet Mignon—and nearly all were overcooked. My husband requested medium rare and received well done. He sent it back and asked for another, and the replacement was also overcooked. We heard similar feedback from many guests. • No flexibility on last-minute guest cancellations. I made my final payment a little over two weeks before the wedding. A few days later, two guests canceled. I asked if we could receive a credit or apply the ~$600 toward something else—like a champagne tower or martini luge, both priced lower than that—but was told no. They offered to package the meals to-go, but that never happened. Perhaps I should’ve followed up on the day of, but considering how the filet turned out, the meals likely would’ve gone uneaten—and it certainly wouldn’t have softened the sting of losing $600. Final Thoughts: I genuinely loved my wedding and the venue’s ambiance, but I wish the coordination had been more proactive and transparent. With better communication, I could’ve made more informed decisions and avoided unnecessary stress and extra costs.

One of the highlights for us and our families was being able to stay right on-site at the farmhouse, which made the entire weekend even more special. It made things so much less stressful, and everything was beautifully packed up for a smooth and easy pickup the next day. The food was incredible—our guests are still raving about how delicious everything was, and how much there was to enjoy! A special shoutout to our maitre d’, Margherita, who was by our side the entire night. She made sure we were always hydrated, had our signature drinks in hand, and truly helped us relax and enjoy every moment. She went above and beyond to make the night stress-free. And to our venue coordinator, Sara—thank you for your support in the months leading up to the wedding. Your quick responses and guidance made a world of difference. We’re so thrilled we chose this venue and would absolutely recommend it to anyone planning their big day. Don’t wait—book it!

tart to finish was seamless. Our wedding coordinator, Sara was fantastic and super helpful during the entire planning process. Our maitre d’s were Kayla & Casey and they were amazing! They made sure my husband and I were taken care of the entire night and constantly checking in to ensure we were comfortable and in the loop. Our guests could not stop talking about the staff, food & vibe of the Barn. The venue speaks for itself and has so much character, we hardly had to add decor. They also offer a farmhouse stay on the venues property for an additional cost which was the perfect place to hang out with our bridal parties the night before and getting ready the day of. We would recommend this venue to anyone looking to have a relaxing, fun & organized wedding!!

hing started when we met with Margarita one year prior to our wedding. From the moment we met her, she was cracking jokes with my husband and mom and we instantly knew we not only found the best place to get married, but with the best maitre d! Every question, concern, idea, or simple check in with Margarita was like calling a best friend to chat. She helped us plan everything and was very honest about what we should do or what we shouldn’t do based on what the Barn already had to offer. (Which is everything!) Day of our wedding, Margarita went above and beyond for us. Her team of Kayla and Madison, on top of every server and waitstaff was impeccable! I vividly remember at the end of our cocktail hour about 5 different guests coming up to us to tell us how great the staff was. Hearing this, my husband and I made sure to thank the staff cleaning up the cocktail hour before we even entered the reception hall. That’s how amazing everyone and everything was and I wanted to make sure they knew how happy we were. We unfortunately had a terrible experience with our photographer but Margarita was right by our side to make sure they didn’t completely ruin our day. I was able to give her “the look” and she was able to jump in and help us deal with our photographer. I have not one bad thing to say about getting married at the Barn! Now I’m waiting for someone to get married so I can go back and be a guest! If you’re in the wedding planning process, call the Barn and ask for Margarita!!!

ith plenty of explanation. Food tasting was amazing and they let us do a private second tasting to narrow down our choices. Then come the wedding day. It was the most perfect venue I could’ve ever asked for. We even stayed at the Airbnb next-door, which was wonderful as well. The only issue I had with this venue was the bartenders, but other than that, I absolutely loved this decision my husband and I made.

ve my wedding there, so we did, and it was the most beautiful romantic venue. We got married at the farm land during sunset and the setting was breath taking. We had the string lights on which gave it such a romantic vibe. Our photos during the ceremony were STUNNING. The lighting the florals and the scenery were just amazing. We had the entire upstairs for cocktail hour and our reception. There was plenty of room and our guests loved being able to switch between the rooms if the music was too much or if they needed some fresh air. Everyone kept talking about the food and how delicious it was. The menu options were out of this world and so hard to choose from. Sara was our coordinator and she was outstanding. She kept in contact with us throughout the entire year of wedding planning. She was very VERY accommodating and made sure everything was perfect the day of for us. My maître d was amazing. She was so sweet, super helpful and on top of everything! My bustle broke a million times and she immediately pinned me back up everytime. She was so observant and relieved any stress the day of and I appreciate it so much! So many of guests said that was the nicest wedding venue they’ve ever been to and the best wedding they’ve ever been to. We were so happy to hear that because they’ve been to ALOT of weddings. It’s all thanks to the barn! I highly recommend anyone looking to get married here to book it, you will not regret it! (:

to the Barn and our coordinator, Margherita. It was the first venue we looked at, and the only one we kept thinking about after. The Barn is the absolute perfect venue for that rustic vibe, while also being an actual venue and event space. Throughout the entire process, Margherita was there to answer any questions we had, and walk us through the process. The tasting was so delicious it was hard to choose. We had numerous guests tell us it was the best wedding food they have ever had, and multiple others say it was one of the best weddings they have ever been to. As a bride and groom, we felt so stress-free the entire day, from the delicious continental breakfast when we stayed the Farmhouse (highly recommend, the convenience alone makes it worth it, and it was so perfectly kept), to being able to take a moment in the suite just the two of us before cocktail hour while Margherita and Nick brought us food and drinks, to not having to ask for a drink or worry about anything the night of. The bar staff was amazing and we received so many compliments on how good the drinks were and how quickly they were served. They even put a sugared rim on some drinks, truly just going above and beyond. We really could not have asked for a better venue or staff to make our winter wedding dreams come true. They worked so well with all of our vendors, and every vendor we booked who knew the Barn was so excited to come back. Robin and the staff decorated the Barn so incredibly beautifully, we had so many guests take pictures in the foyer and throughout the Barn. Robin was so accommodating and talented in decorating. We truly did not have to worry about a thing the day of the wedding, and were able to really enjoy ourselves. I cannot recommend this venue enough. I will be begging everyone I know to get married there so we can go back!

staff that was extremely professional. This venue spoke for itself, you do not need to worry about so much extra "stuff." It was truly the happiest and most magical day our lives. If you are looking for upscale/modern/country feel, this is your spot! Do not bother looking anywhere else!! Cannot wait to have our baby shower here when the time comes!!!

hing was so incredible and out guests were so amazed by the experience. They have an outside ceremony site that is GORGEOUS and stunning. Your photographer will thank you! There are flowers and greenery everywhere for photos with you and your hubby- especially your guests! The planning process was so easy and accommodating- we talked to Sara V. who toured the venue with us and showed us every room and ideas. The staff was on their game when it came to our guests- they made sure everything was taken care of. Especially those guests that had dietary restrictions or those that needed Kosher meals. Our Maitre'd was Christina and Ray- SO INCREDIBLE AND PROFESSIONAL! They both made sure that on the day my husband and I didn't worry about a SINGLE thing! They made sure we were good on time, worked with our other vendors and every time we turned around they were right there to get us whatever we needed! They say you don't eat on your wedding day... That was NOT the case for us! They made sure we got our cocktail food and gave us one of each of our dinner options that we offered our guests. They had our signature cocktails ready in the bridal suite for us so we can try them and two of everything! After the ceremony... YOU WILL WANT CHAMPAGNE!! They are a TOP KNOTCH wedding venue. Professional, outgoing and just so genuine! Amazing humans work here and they made our day one that we will never forget! Shout out to my girls Christina and Sara!!!! These two... Queens! Not once did I have to worry about a thing the whole night and everything I asked was met with a realistic and honest answer. Margherita and Nicole and my day of coordinator Bailey (outside hire) absolutely gave us the wedding of our dreams!!! There are not enough thank yous in the world I could express to the venue for all they did for us, and for giving us all you could ask for and more. The bartenders, servers, attendants all were so friendly and when I tell you those bartenders WORKED, I am not exaggerating. Everything was 100/10, and I’m so incredibly grateful we went with the Barn at Villa Venezia. I would repeat the weekend over and over again if I could and every time I would choose them.
