The Barn at West Mountain Inn

The West Mountain Inn was the perfect place to get married! The setting is gorgeous and having space for us and guests to stay at the venue was an added bonus. Amie and her team are absolutely wonderful-- so kind and willing to help with preparations for the big day. They have have a great system in place that enables you to customize your wedding, and make your wedding day run smoothly. I would definitely recommend West Mountain Inn to couples looking for a special place for their special day!

My partner and I were married at the West Mountain Inn in late June of 2023, and our experience blew our expectations away. Everything (and truly, EVERYTHING) about our wedding weekend celebration with WMI was magical and memorable to last a lifetime! To start, Amie is the best wedding planner/coordinator/inn owner you will ever meet. We had the absolute pleasure of working closely with her throughout the planning process and day of coordination. We cannot speak more highly of her! From the initial tour of the Inn to our checkout on the day after our wedding, she was always present and on top of everything. Her communication was always clear and informative and was just a pleasure to work with. All of our outside vendors (photographer, flowers, DJ, hair, and makeup) were spurred from her suggestions, and all of them even raved about working with Amie! Clearly, she has this effect on her staff, as all of them were an absolute pleasure to work with too! The grounds of the West Mountain Inn were the ideal setting for our wedding vision, a retreat weekend nestled in the picturesque Vermont mountains. The Inn had enough room for about half of our wedding attendees, which created a truly intimate setting. Our guests all thoroughly enjoyed their stays and became friends with the Inn’s dogs and alpacas. Part of our decision was based on the West Mountain Inn’s ability to conduct the catering for our rehearsal dinner, wedding day, and morning after brunch. OMG, the food, just incredible! A huge shout out is due for Chef Jeff, and we were blown away by the quality of everything we consumed. In conclusion, if you’re seeking a retreat weekend wedding experience and vibe with the “Vermont way”, then look no further than the West Mountain Inn!

We had the perfect wedding at the West Mountain Inn! The venue is gorgeous, accommodating, and extremely well organized, all thanks to Amie and her wonderful team. Our family and friends are still raving about the venue (and food, and alpacas) almost a year later.  Amie is a dream to work with. She is responsive, makes helpful suggestions, and brings a calm to the entire process. There's a lot of flexibility offered, but we also very much appreciated guidance on how a typical package or wedding went at the Inn (they've thought of everything). You feel welcomed and at ease in this beautiful space.  Looking back, I can't emphasize enough how important it is to have such a helpful team be part of the venue. We can't recommend this venue enough!

I cannot say enough wonderful things about the West Mountain Inn and the entire staff. The venue - absolutely beautiful and so welcoming to have our family and loved ones all in one place for the weekend. The staff - Amie was nothing short of incredible to work with. She answered every email, question, everything along the entire journey, and was such a joy throughout the whole thing. We couldn't have done it without her and her entire staff. The food - SO GOOD! Every meal. No one raves about wedding food, but this was definitely an exception. Jeff is fantastic. If you decide to book at WMI (which you should!), you are in for a truly wonderful experience. I recently got married in June 2023 and this venue was better than anything we could have dreamed of. Tucked away in the beautiful woods of Vermont, West Mountain Inn is the full package. The staff was so hands on, and creates a truly comfortable environment for all of your guests. If you want somewhere that thinks of all the little details, makes your big day worry-free, and is nothing short of magical --the West Mountain inn is the place.

Words cant fully express how perfect the West Mountain Inn was as venue for our most special day. Magical, I think comes the closest. The beauty of the inn takes a back seat, however, to how incredible Amie was at organizing, communicating, putting out all the little fires that inevitably arise, and ultimately putting together what will forever be remembered by my husband and I as the best day of our lives. A simple thank you could never suffice. We will forever be grateful to her for her invaluable contribution in turning two scatter-brained lovers into husband and wife in the most beautiful way

We are now several months after our wedding last summer, (August 2023) at The West Mountain Inn and we still reminisce about how amazing our wedding weekend was, almost on a daily basis. There isn't a single thing I would change, and all of our guests still rave about how lovely the venue was. Here are some key elements that really made a difference to us: 1) Amie and her staff are not only kind, patient, and just lovely to work with, they are experts on planning and running a successful wedding weekend. I am someone that can be a little anxious about details, but Amie always made me feel like my needs were listened to and taken care of. So, when the time came, I was able to enjoy the day with family and friends without even thinking about the 'what ifs.' Her staff was so warm and friendly, always making sure my husband and I always had what we needed. Also, we had a guest that had special dietary restrictions and the staff went out of their way to make sure she got her specially made treats. It was very sweet and so appreciated. Overall, Amie was so flexible and understanding and let us have a great time while making sure everything else went smoothly. I could go on and on this point. 2) The location speaks for itself - it's straight up beautiful. The grounds are maintained with such care that you really do feel like you're in a Vermont fairytale. The mountain view, the red alpaca barn, the labyrinth garden… just the perfect backdrop for a ceremony. Plus, the inside of the Inn and guest rooms are absolutely lovely. They are all quaint and unique in their own way. 3) The single most appreciated element was how this was an all-inclusive experience. We had ALL of our wedding events at the Inn. We had a lovely Welcome Pizza & Smores party on Friday. I highly recommend doing this, we all had a blast to kick off the festivities!! Then the ceremony was held in the side yard and the reception was a short walk to the barn. Finally, a lovely goodbye brunch on Sunday to recap the weekend and send guests on their way! Having everything at the Inn made the weekend feel like a breeze. No one was stressed about traveling from location to location. Plus, our guests that might need some rest between events had their room right there. It was very heartwarming to see all our loved ones enjoy catching up and hanging out on the property that was all to ourselves. While all elements of wedding planning come with a little sticker shock, I truly believe our experience at The West Mountain Inn was a great value for the price. Having an experienced coordinator and team really is priceless when planning a wedding. Plus having the whole property for an entire weekend made us feel like we had the VIP treatment, which is what you absolutely deserve during your wedding! Overall, I expect to be visiting the Inn many times over to relive our weekend and I will be recommending it as a wedding venue to anyone who will listen. Thank you, West Mountain Inn!!

We had the most incredible wedding weekend thanks to Amie and the WMI. Amie is patient, compassionate, and exceptional at bringing any idea you could imagine to life. Planning our wedding from Brooklyn would not have been possible without her. We were able to have the perfect stateside-destination wedding in the most beautiful setting. Having our bridal party and family onsite was the cherry on top. Thank you Amie and the WMI!

We wanted to share the beauty and the magic of Vermont with our loved ones and we could not have imagined a more idyllic setting for our wedding than West Mountain Inn. Amie is an absolute dream to work with and was so helpful and communicative throughout the wedding planning process. The Inn pups, Milo and Pepper were adorable assistants during rehearsal dinner and welcome party. Chris, Emily, and each of the staff members made our guests feel right at home! Our friends and family could not stop raving about the food, the alpacas, and the gorgeous mountain views. The level of expertise that goes into the weddings and events at WMI are like no other. Our wedding and wedding weekend was absolutely perfect. Amie and her team are kind and helpful and made sure everything for our weekend went well. Amie was also very helpful in planning and answered any questions I had, no matter how ridiculous the question was. She also has the sweetest golden retrievers, Milo and Pepper, who were 100% welcome at our wedding and our guests loved them too. The rooms at the inn are updated and comfortable with almost every bathroom amenity you could forget to bring. Every piece of food we consumed over the weekend was incredible. The Inn grounds are beautiful as well. Secluded up the middle of a mountain, WMI has many gardens, alpacas, hiking trails, the fire pit area and lots of lawn and views. The feedback we got from our guests on the food/venue/wedding as a whole was nothing but positive and everyone had a blast. This venue will not disappoint, these folks know how to do weddings!!!

My husband and I got married here this past summer and it was perfect! The venue and views are absolutely stunning! Amie is an absolute dream to work with! She is patient, organized, and was so accommodating. We were originally supposed to get married in 2020 but had to push it back and Amie helped us to organize the new date and was very understanding, which made a very stressful situation so much easier. The night before the wedding Amie did an awesome job of organizing the wedding party to run through the rehearsal, which was incredibly helpful because it was a lot to try to wrangle all of us. On the day Amie was crucial with organizing all the vendors so that everything went right as planned. She is so amazing to work with and made everything about out wedding so easy and stress free. The food was fantastic, we have had multiple guests tell us that it was the best food they ever had at a wedding. They were also great accommodating dietary restrictions, one of our guests needed a vegan meal, and she said they made her a delicious dinner that was thoughtful and filling, which she said is rare for her at weddings. The servers were so kind, attentive, and fun. The coordination with food and drink was impeccable and no one had to wait in long lines at the bar, which was awesome! We have stayed at the inn multiple times and it is so lovely. The breakfast is always delicious, the rooms are comfortable and charming, and the property is beautiful anytime of year. Whether you are getting married or looking for a vacation in Vermont this is the place to go!

WMI is a literal dream of a place to have your wedding. Whatever you value most about in your venue search, WMI has it. Incredible scenery for your ceremony? You get to say “I do” with the rolling green mountains and a lovely flower garden behind you. Delicious food? The chef managed to make salmon for 100 people that had the texture of butter and was full of flavor. An amazing venue coordinator? There aren’t enough words in the English language for how incredible Amie is. She answers every annoying question an anxious bride (me) sends her over email. She is so organized but also has an impressive creative vision to ensure your day is so beautiful. There’s no need to hire a day-of coordinator when you have Amie. There’s barely a need to hire a planner when you have Amie (we didn’t have one). She has such great recommendations and relationships with all the wedding vendors in the area, which makes planning a destination wedding a breeze. She also has just such a wonderful calming presence that is invaluable in the craziness of wedding planning and day-of. If you’re deciding between WMI and another venue, stop considering- book WMI.

I can’t recommend this place strongly enough!!! We felt loved and cared for throughout the entire process from booking, planning, to the actual wedding weekend. Our friends and families are raving about the venue and it was so special to have our closest friends and family staying on site. With 14 spacious rooms in the Main inn and then three townhouses with two bedrooms each, You can build out the little community that you want to be surrounding you for your entire stay, and you can take comfort in knowing that the rest of your guests not on-site are having an amazing time exploring Manchester, Bennington and everything in between. We had our parents, grandmas, siblings and bridal party stay with us for the whole weekend. It was so nice to not have to worry about anyone traveling on the day of, and it was great that my grandma could go and rest when she needed to throughout the weekend without missing out. The events themselves were so much fun. The layout of the property makes each portion of your party feel unique and interesting; the welcome party, ceremony, cocktail hour, reception, after party and brunch each had their own spot and distinct vibe. Amie, the owner and wedding coordinator, is incredibly responsive to concerns and answered all my *hundreds?* of emails throughout the 15 month planning process. The barn is gorgeous, with the string lights and outdoor Edison bulbs the entire space lights Up like a fairytale. The grounds have so many gorgeous little nooks for beautiful photo moments, and there are hundreds of acres of hiking trails to explore. The food throughout the weekend was really delicious and reasonably priced. The bartenders made awesome signature cocktails and kept things moving swiftly, there was never a line. The entire staff functions like a well oiled machine, but they also make you feel so special, like yours is the only wedding that matters despite them having weddings almost every weekend in season. They are experienced professionals who know how to make your event amazing. Every detail that I was worried about was already attended to and planned for. They take care of everything and you don’t need to stress. If you’re considering this place, don’t hesitate to book it!!

We would HIGHLY recommend using the West Mountain Inn for any events, especially weddings. Amie was attentive and helpful throughout the whole process. She was calm and reassuring on the day of the wedding. All of the staff were helpful and friendly. We had a beautiful wedding outside in the garden, followed by a cocktail hour under a tent, and a reception in the barn. They were accommodating to dietary restrictions and check offered amazing options. Try the butternut squash ravioli!!

Picking the West Mountain Inn for our wedding was one of the best decisions we made. This venue really has it all. Here are a few things that we loved: 1) we rented out the inn for the whole weekend and it has multiple awesome spaces for hosting events. 2) the food was wonderful, 3) Amie and her team were a delight to work with (plus I rescheduled twice due to covid and Amie rolled with it both times), and 4) it is gorgeous - you feel like you are in your own little oasis. The best venue!!

We have nothing to say but FANTASTIC things about this venue! Amie & her team were phenomenal in all of the planning leading up to the very day and made sure everything went super smooth so we could enjoy every moment on our special day. Competitively priced, this venue is everything, and MORE offering privacy (you get the venue for the whole weekend), fine touches to detail, and an amazing view of the mountains. Every wedding that we have attended that has a similar feel just does not compare to the experience at the West Mountain Inn -- AMAZING staff and venue. :)

The West Mountain Inn was the perfect venue for our wedding! We are so grateful to Amie and all of the staff who helped make our entire wedding weekend so wonderful and fun! It was such a pleasant and easy experience working with Amie, the Inn's owner and wedding coordinator, throughout the entire planning process. She was so flexible, especially with our postponement due to COVID, and she provided us with an entirely customizable wedding weekend experience that fit our wedding size and priorities for the celebration. Amie helped us with recommendations for other vendors and took care of all of the other details, including rentals. The West Mountain Inn is a beautiful and secluded setting in Arlington, Vermont with mountain views and perfectly maintained gardens. The Inn itself is charming with cozy rooms and delicious breakfasts. One of the highlights of our wedding weekend was our rehearsal dinner barbecue on Friday evening followed by a welcome party for all of our guests with craft Vermont beer, donuts, and s'mores around the bonfire. Our wedding reception used so many of the great locations on the property, starting with a cocktail hour on the side lawn, a reception under a stunning sailcloth tent overlooking the mountains, and then we finished the evening with dancing and dessert in the Inn's barn. So many of our guests have told us that our wedding was the best wedding they have ever attended! We are so grateful to have started our married life in such a special way at the West Mountain Inn and we can't wait to come back to visit in the years to come. I highly recommend anyone planning a wedding in southern Vermont to book the West Mountain Inn as your venue!

Amie and the staff at West Mountain Inn were amazing to work with! Since the first tour, Amie was hands on and made planning so easy. The Inn is lovely, our guests said they felt like they were staying at our own family vacation home. Everyone was very comfortable and staying on the property made everything feel very intimate. The dogs are the best VT welcome greeters and weekend companions! Jeff is very talented and all of our guests raved about the food! Cannot say enough good things about West Mountain Inn and we are so happy with our decision to book this venue!

Words cannot describe how perfect The West Mountain Inn was for our wedding. Beyond just having the most idyllic barn and location, the Inn provided awesome service and excellent food. (Our guests are still telling us how much they loved the food.) Amie was exactly what I needed while planning and during the weekend in that she was low stress and very good at her work. All of my vendors were very glad to work with the West Mountain Inn and Amie. Everything was magical and we look forward to visiting the Inn for many, many years to come!

The West Mountain Inn is an exceptional wedding venue - authentically rustic and humbly elegant. The innkeeper, Amie, was an absolute pleasure to work with. She's organized, dependable, easy going, and flexible! We had the BEST wedding weekend at the WMI in late August. It was fun having all of our closest family and friends on the property and we loved how quaint and unique the different rooms were at the Inn! We also reserved all rooms at The Arlington Inn nearby which made it easy for extended family to participate in the weekend festivities! Amie hosted our rehearsal dinner/welcome party Friday night. Our guests LOVED the pizza bar - especially the buffalo chicken pizza! The sangria and apple cider doughnuts were also very popular. I appreciated Amie's wide assortment of wedding props which added extra character throughout the weekend. The day of our wedding, Amie did a great job coordinating the vendors and getting everyone in the right place at the right time. The bridal suite was spacious and very well lit. The Saturday morning complimentary breakfast was impressive - great quality and unique ingredients. Our ceremony was at the maze garden which was absolutely stunning! We had dinner under a sailtop tent (I recommend spending the extra money for sailtop if possible), and we moved to the Barn for dancing after dinner. One recommendation: if the event is in the barn and it's going to be hot, plan for more fans! While festivities must end at 11pm, Amie recommends the Millhouse suite as an after party location (right down the hill where our groomsmen stayed). It was perfect for our guests who wanted to keep the party going and the proximity didn't interrupt the flow of the night. Amie also coordinated shuttles for Friday/Saturday - everything ran smoothly and right on schedule! Our guests loved the cheese/meat table at the cocktail hour - the cheeses were amazing! I was glad I upgraded our starter salad (with figs/goat cheese). We wanted to serve hot pretzels at the end of the night, but Amie couldn't get them from her distributor. Instead, I brought the pretzels from Sam's Club and Amie's team cooked them up and packaged them in our custom wrappers for guests as they left - I appreciated the flexibility and attention to detail! I'm so grateful to have met Amie and to have experienced the hidden gem that is The West Mountain Inn! The best place and best people on earth. Next to deciding to get married, choosing the West Mountain Inn was by far the best wedding-related decision we could have made. Amie is an extraordinarily kind and accommodating presence who makes planning a breeze. The whole staff goes above and beyond to make every guest feel special. The setting is picturesque, the food is delicious, the alpacas are delightful--literally everything about this place is perfect. We cannot wait to come back to celebrate our anniversary. I could not say enough about our wedding at the West Mountain Inn. This venue could not be any better. You and your family would have the inn and all its amazing rooms and spaces to yourself if you book a weekend wedding. There's a beautiful garden labyrinth with the backdrop of the green mountains, adorable alpacas, and a spacious place to host an outdoor homemade pizza or bbq rehearsal. We hosted our cocktail hour on the big lawn in front of the barn where there's enough room for a tent or an open air gathering. Then we rounded out our wedding evening eating the delicious meals the inn prepared, and danced it up in the iconic wooden beam barn (Oh the Barn!!). To top it all off, each morning, including your departure, your guests are treated to a sensational breakfast. Amie and her staff are fantastic. They can help you with planning details with everything from rooms for your guests, local vendors they recommend, special food requests, organizing a bus if you have guests staying in the area, even hiking suggestions for down time. So many of the vendors we worked with said this is their favorite to come to. I mean I'm sure the others are great, but the West Mountain Inn is a true gem. We'll be going back for years to come.

The best decision we made (besides getting married)! Amie and her team at the West Mountain Inn rival Walt Disney in making your dreams come true. Words will not fully describe how amazing this place is, and it will forever hold a special place in our hearts. We knew immediately that it was the place where we wanted to get married. Upon a visit to check out the Inn as a possible venue, we ended up having dinner at the restaurant (chef Jeff is amazing by the way!), and met 2 couples- couples who were once strangers and are now friends from meeting by chance at the Inn- there whose children had been married at the Inn 15 + years ago. Both of these couples have made a point to come back every year to stay there themselves because they had such a fabulous time at the weddings. That right there shows you how special this place is. Everyone who stays there, has gotten married there, was a guest at a wedding or an event, they can all tell you that there is no place on earth like it. You feel so at home as soon as you walk in as if you’ve been coming there for years. We were fortunate enough to visit the Inn during all seasons, and I’m telling you it is gorgeous in good and bad weather conditions. We had the most spectacular wedding there, and I am so excited to visit in the years coming to celebrate anniversaries, bring future children there etc. Everyone who works there is so kind and extremely professional. They made sure that we had everything we needed, and so many of our guests who stayed there with us have since told me stories about how the staff helped them with special requests. Amie is a marvel of a woman. She is never in a bad mood, never stressed, and always gives you such individualized attention that it makes you feel like you’re the only couple she has getting married at the Inn that year. The Inn is so beautifully remote (without being in the middle of nowhere), that it feels like you’re in your own private world for the weekend. We decided to host a welcome dinner at the Inn the Friday night before the wedding, and so many people have told us that they felt like they were part of an intimate celebration that took place all weekend even though we had over 150 guests. I had so many people tell me that this was the most beautiful venue they had ever seen, and some women even said that they wished they could do their weddings over again and do it at the Inn! You couldn’t ask for more beautiful surroundings, delicious food, warm and welcoming staff, and a more wonderful place to get married than the West Mountain Inn.

We had our wedding and rehearsal dinner at West Mountain Inn in September 2019 and it was more perfect than we ever could have hoped for. Amie made the entire planning process easy and stress free (and answered probably about 100 emails from me leading up to the wedding) - she was organized, knowledgeable and had a calming effect that made everything feel easy and manageable. The day of was perfect - our families and wedding parties were able to stay at the inn, which was amazing, and we got ready there, which made everything seamless. We got married in the labyrinth, had cocktail hour in front of the inn, had dinner on the lawn under a tent and had our reception in the barn, which worked out perfectly. Amie had a ton of decorations such that we didn't have to bring or rent anything (cake stands, table numbers, signs, etc.) which I didn't find was the case at a lot of other venues. The food was amazing both Friday (BBQ) and Saturday nights - everyone raved about it and said it was some of the best food they'd ever had at a wedding. The setting was amazingly beautiful and being able to quickly walk between each event worked out perfectly. A lot of our families and friends were coming in from out of town so the experience of coming to Arlington/Manchester alone made the whole thing that much better - quintessential Vermont. A ton of people hiked the morning of the wedding or explored downtown Manchester, which made it a nice getaway for people coming to town. We really can't recommend getting married at WMI enough. If you want a laid back wedding (and planning experience), don't want to deal with the hassle of venues where you have to rent linens/decorations/glassware, and one of the most beautiful settings I could have hoped for then get married here. Everyone is still raving about it months later. And if you're debating whether to do your rehearsal dinner there the night before - that may have been our favorite part of the experience. Pictures don't do the setting justice, from the little cafe tables on the lawn with the mountains in the background to s'mores by the campfire after dinner - it was awesome. Thank you to Amie and the WMI staff for making our wedding weekend truly the best - I really can't think of any way it could have been made better.

My husband and I had an incredible wedding here! Amie and staff really helped to make our wedding exactly what we hoped for and more. The food was amazing and everyone who attended our wedding couldn’t stop raving about how amazing the venue was! It truly exceeded all expectations, we would highly recommend anyone to get married at this venue.

We had the most amazing time getting married at the WMI! Everyone was incredible, accommodating, and a delight to be around. We gained a little family here and although I am sad it had to end, we could not have had a better weekend. Our families loved the venue and the food too! It was so convenient to nearby lodging and to have the entire event take place right on the property. What more could you ask for!? And we had the whole place to ourselves the entire weekend (: Amie was my ROCK especially on the big day! It was just so comfortable and we really felt like we were home. Thank you WMI crew, we love you so!

My husband and I got married at The West Mountain Inn on 9/14/2019. IT WAS THE BEST!!! The entire weekend at the Inn was more than we could have ever imagined. Amie was such a joy to work with throughout the entire planning period. She is so responsive, organized and flexible, willing to work around anything. I've never worked with someone who is so efficient, positive and yet SO relaxed through all of the stress. She never missed a beat during the planning  and especially the day of! Everything about the Inn we LOVED from ALL of the food, to the staff, location, relaxed environment, it is all perfect. We used the Inn as our rehearsal dinner venue too, followed by a welcome party for over 100 guests. Everything about Friday night was perfect, especially the food and space. The day of the wedding could not have gone any smoother thanks to the Inn's staff! Despite the VERY questionable weather, Amie made SURE we had an outdoor ceremony, which was so important to us. The ceremony turned out perfect, and now every time I look at those beautiful pictures, I thank Amie for making that happen! The barn is the most quintessential setting for a Vermont wedding venue. The lighting, scenery, menu options, the staff's set up, everything could not have been more perfect. I wish I could talk to each and every future bride-to-be and explain just how good of a decision it was to book at the West Mountain Inn. There is nothing we would have changed about our entire wedding weekend. Thank you to everyone at the Inn! We can't wait to come back for many anniversary's to come.

Amie and the West Mountain Inn staff were unbelievable and helped us plan a perfect wedding weekend in Vermont. My wife and I can't express how happy we are. Months later we are still glowing! We would give West Mountain Inn a 6 out of 5 if we could. Hard to express our gratitude to the West Mountain Inn after we got married there in September 2019. From the owner to the hosts, bartenders and waitstaff, they could not have made us feel more at home. They were so friendly and accommodating, they truly felt like part of our group by the end of the weekend. Amie thinks of absolutely every detail — including things that wouldn’t even cross your mind! Aside from the people, the property is beautiful and was a perfect private and quiet place for our weekend. You really feel nestled into the mountain with fantastic natural scenery all around. The rooms, dining room, library and lounge areas are all charming. Our wedding weekend consisted of a welcome party with pizza/salads and a campfire on Friday, then the ceremony to reception on Saturday. Breakfast was included for everyone staying on property each morning and it was amazing — plus they have tea, coffee and cookies at all hours, how great is that? The whole weekend felt like a dream. We’ve gotten so many compliments about the weekend, and we have the West Mountain Inn team to thank for that!! Can’t wait to return again for a long weekend with the family!

My Husband and I got married at West Mountain Inn this past May and it was a dream come true. We cannot say enough good things about The Venue and Staff at The Inn. Throughout the planning process, Amie took the time to check in with us and always had our best interest at heart. Shawn and I had many ideas and Amie not only made all of those ideas happen but she did it in a way that alleviated all the stress and made it fun for us. Hands down we would recommend The West Mountain Inn in a heartbeat!

We were married on 8.17.19 and it could not have been more perfect. Amie made the planning process really easy and was available throughout the past year to answer my many questions. On Friday night, we had a bbq rehearsal dinner on the back lawn and everyone was blown away by the food (ribs, swordfish, chicken, grilled vegetables, to die for Mac and cheese, and most importantly, the most to die for apple crisp, which many guests enjoyed a second serving). After the dinner we welcomed all of our wedding guests to welcome drinks with a s’mores bonfire. This was such a fun chance to be able to greet all of our guests and relax and get excited for the next day. Everyone was reminiscing how they felt like they were at summer camp. On Saturday the forecast was not good, and I was really nervous. Our rain plan was actually great because the barn is just gorgeous, but I had dreamed of getting married outside. Amie was so calm, and a few hours before we decided to move the cocktail hour closer to the inn so that if it did rain, we could easily move inside. Everything ended up working out perfectly as the rain held off for a beautiful ceremony and cocktail hour, and downpoured just as we were making our entrance into the barn. Throughout the whole rain debacle, all of the staff were so accommodating in doing whatever it took to make sure we were happy. They could have easily insisted that we go with the rain plan just in case, but they didn’t and everything worked out just perfectly. I could go on and on about how amazing every meal we ate was, how helpful and friendly all of the staff were, and how much everyone truly enjoyed the weekend, but I think the following best exemplifies the experience: on Saturday morning, I was getting ready with my bridesmaids. I looked out the window and saw my grandfather slowly walking on the grounds with his cane. One of the amazing employees drove over to him and asked him if he wanted a tour. I saw him hop in the gold cart with the biggest smile on his face, driving all over to see the alpacas and other beautiful scenery. It truly made my weekend to see how happy that made him. Thank you so much to Amie and everyone else at the inn, we truly could not have asked for a better weekend!

West Mountain Inn I literally cannot say enough about Amie and the rest of the staff at West Mountain Inn.  The venue itself is gorgeous and exactly what we wanted, but the people (and the food!) were what made the experience unlike anything we've ever been a part of.  Everything was perfect - the setup, the service, the interactions, the personalities, absolutely everything. Each member of the team clearly cares about the experience of the bride and groom as well as all of their guests and always goes above and beyond.  Amie completely took our vision and gave us exactly what we wanted and more. And the food, holy cow, Jeff and the kitchen staff put out the most phenomenal food! From the welcome pizza party to the appetizers and meals at the reception, to brunch the next morning, everything left you full, but wanting more!!  I wish I could bring them home with me! My husband is a tough critic who looked at me at the end of the weekend and said, "Everything was perfect." And it was. West Mountain Inn provided everything we could have ever imagined for the most perfect wedding.

My husband and I got married in September of 2018 at the West Mountain Inn. We had friends and family traveling from afar and wanted a place where they could all be together, and this was the perfect venue for that purpose. The Inn has this amazing feeling -- it's cozy and beautiful and welcoming. We had the entire property for the weekend, and had events planned for everyone Friday-Sunday. I am honestly not exaggerating when I say that every aspect of the weekend was incredible. At the end, some of our guests cried because they didn't want the weekend to end. In addition to the venue itself, I can't express how incredible Amie and the West Mountain Inn team are. I had a vision for our wedding, but there were times when I found wedding planning to be a bit daunting. At every turn, Amie was there to help me. She provided vendor recommendations, advice on table layouts and food/cocktails, made sure we worked together on a detailed day-of schedule, and even ran our wedding rehearsal. She is an absolute delight to work with -- knowledgeable, easygoing, and extremely competent without being overbearing. Throughout the entire weekend, we never had to worry or think about any logistics, which allowed us to focus entirely on being with our loved ones and having fun. The West Mountain Inn will always have a special place in our hearts. We look forward to bringing our children there with us one day!

We could not have wished for a better wedding venue than the West Mountain Inn! Every step of the way Amie was there to answer questions and keep me on track with planning - something I was extremely grateful for as a busy medical student living across the country. She coordinated everything day of as well and made the whole process feel easy. Plus, since their chef cooks all the delicious meals it checked off an extra step in the planning process! We were able to have so many of our guests stay with us at the inn - the property is reserved entirely for you for a weekend wedding - and that made the weekend even more special and memorable for all of us. It felt like a home away from home with our closest friends and family! The West Mountain Inn was the first venue we visited and I fell in love immediately. The entire property is gorgeous and offers so many options for where to host all of your wedding events. We were able to enjoy a rehearsal dinner on the patio (with trips to visit the alpacas across the lawn) followed by s'mores at the fire pit, wedding ceremony in the labyrinth garden with views of the mountains, cocktail hour in the meadow, and reception in the gorgeous barn- what more could you ask for?! It is a truly magical place for a wedding that is authentic, full of natural beauty, and refined all at the same time. Aside from the beauty of the venue, which our guests raved about for weeks afterward, we are so incredibly grateful for the amazing staff the WMI. Everyone was so kind, caring, and supportive throughout the entire process, especially when we ran into an unexpected emergency the morning of the wedding. When the situation required us to stay in the area for longer than expected, we were welcomed to stay for as long as we needed and we truly felt taken care of. The sign at the front of the Inn says "You're one of the folks" and that statement could not be more true. We were treated like family and we can't wait to return to the Inn for years to come.

West Mountain Inn is such a magical setting. The barn, garden, views of the mountains, and overall atmosphere is amazing! The Inn itself is so comfortable. Our wedding was 9/1/18 and we went up a few days earlier just to relax and take it all in. All of the staff at West Mountain Inn are truly wonderful and such kind people! Amie, the owner, is so accommodating and was a pleasure to work with throughout this past year planning! The whole weekend was incredible. And all of our friends and family raved about the BBQ, ceremony site, cocktail hour mule bar, and the gorgeous barn! What made it so special for us, was getting to spend so much time celebrating our marriage with the people we love most. We whole-heartedly recommend West Mountain Inn and feel so fortunate to have shared our wedding with Amie and all of the staff at West Mt.

Our wedding was 9/9/17. From the welcome dinner to the farewell brunch, Amie and the staff made us and every guest feel like family! Our wedding was amazing and everything we asked for was do-able. People still talk about our ceremony in the garden and the amazing night in the barn. If you're looking for a full weekend to celebrate your love, the inn is the place!

My husband and I got married at the West Mountain Inn exactly 1 year ago yesterday. I can not say enough good things about Amie, the inn, the food, the staff! Every bit of our day and experience at the inn was exceptional. I had a vision for our wedding and Amie made sure it was met and exceeded. She was open to all my ideas and tried her best to make them happen.

We cannot say enough great things about WMI. The location is absolutely perfect, with views of the gorgeous mountains. Our guests couldn't stop talking about this. Amie, the owner and wedding coordinator was so helpful, accommodating, patient and communicative throughout our entire planning process. She dealt with, at times, multiple emails a day from me and would sometimes include crazy questions that she was able to answer right away in detail. The rooms at the Inn are adorable and the best part about it was that we had the entire place to ourselves for our wedding weekend. Amie was in communication with all of my vendors and truly acted as a wedding planner. Her entire staff were very attentive and didn't let anyone go thirsty or hungry. Everything from the rehearsal dinner, the bonfire, the actual wedding, and the Newlywed breakfast the next morning were absolutely perfect and we couldn't have asked for a better venue and staff to make our wedding weekend extra special. Everything went smoothly I don't think there is one negative complaint! Thank you WMI!

My wife and I got married at the West Mountain Inn last July. It was the picture perfect day and we could not have asked for a better experience. Amie, the Inn Keeper and Wedding Planner, was incredible. She was extremely responsive to all of our multitude of questions, and when it came to the day of the wedding, ensured that every single detail went perfectly. The West Mountain Inn is beautiful every day, but on our wedding day the grounds were immaculate. The flowers around the Inn, and in the labyrinth we beautiful, the cafe lights lining the walkways to the barn and the fire pit, the Barn itself lit up just so; every single detail was perfect and made our day the best of our lives. We have had so many of our guests say to us that our wedding at the West Mountain Inn was the best that they had ever been to. I know that we are a bit biased in that sentiment, but to hear it echoed, rings true about how much we loved our day and experience with Amie and the West Mountain Inn!!

Truly the best place we could have imagined having our wedding. Aimee and the entire staff are lovely, helpful people and the space itself is AMAZING. Lush, green surroundings, cozy inn filled with character, amazing food. Our families have yet to stop crying about how they wish the weekend could have lasted a whole week. Would recommend with no hesitations whatsoever.

We had our wedding here over memorial day and it truly felt like something out of a fairy tale. Amie and the rest of the wonderful staff at the West Mountain Inn were so easy to work with, and they made our wedding weekend go seamlessly. The space itself is absolutely gorgeous - rolling green mountains provide a beautiful backdrop and the barn is spacious and rustic yet elegant. There are 4 alpacas on site who also add to the appeal! All of the food we had was exceptional - we even had guests telling us that it was the best meal that they've had at a wedding! I cannot recommend this venue more highly- Amie is a highly experienced professional who will make your special day a breeze. We feel so fortunate to have chosen this venue!!

West Mountain Inn was the perfect location to have an authentic Vermont wedding. The grounds throughout the whole place are just breathtaking and the staff is just amazing! Throughout the whole planning process, Amie at WMI made everything so easy to check things off the list! It was so great to have everything in one easy location for the guests - rehearsal, campfire, brunch, ceremony, reception, etc. The staff (and the food!) are amazing and so helpful - they made everything run so smoothly all weekend - truly takes a HUGE load off the shoulders to be able to relax and enjoy your wedding weekend! I just had my wedding at the West Mountain Inn on 9.30.17 -- and it was absolutely amazing. First, the location is spectacular -- we new immediately that this is where our wedding needed to be. The garden, barn, inn, & views are stunning. The entire vibe of the Inn is warm, friendly, cozy, and everything you could want from a wedding weekend. The staff was FABULOUS staff (from the owner, Amie, to the chef, Jeff, and every single staff member). Amie was a m a z i n g -- so responsive, accommodating, and organized -- with the help of her staff, she really knows how to put on a wedding! The food was delicious -- every meal -- pizza friday night, breakfast on Saturday & a Sunday brunch -- the appetizers and wedding meal -- ALL of my guest were raving. I have many food allergies & they were able to cater to my needs without even a bit of hesitation, which is SO truly appreciate! We literally had the best weekend of our lives here & plan to make many visits... our guests are even already trying to plan when to return! It would be a great place for a family reunion. I am beyond happy we had our wedding of our dreams here & honestly can't imagine the weekend without the beauty of the Inn & its staff! Thank you!!

You must have your wedding at the West Mountain Inn. Amie and her staff went above and beyond to make sure that everything was perfect, rain of shine! They have everything and know exactly what needs to be done and when. If you have your wedding at the WMI, it will be the perfect VT wedding.

West Mountain Inn exceeded every expectation I had for our dream wedding weekend. From start to finish, the entire weekend was absolute perfection. All our guests stayed on site and were blown away by how quaint, clean, and quiet all the rooms were. The rehearsal dinner was great and our guests loved the s'mores bonfire afterwards. The wedding ceremony and reception were gorgeous and perfect-- thanks in no small part to Terry and her expert coordination. As a bride, I never had a single things to think about or worry about as Terry had everything under control. Great people, great location, spectacular views and scenery-- oh, and great food! They even went above and beyond to make sure everything was gluten-free to accommodate my needs, even when I didn't request it. I can't say enough good things about the Inn and the entire staff. Highly, highly recommend!

West Mountain Inn was an absolute dream to work with. Terry, their wedding coordinator, and Amie, the owner, were beyond accommodating and were in constant communication with us through out our wedding planning process. They made our special day PERFECT and gave us the dream wedding that we wanted.

My husband and I got married 2 months ago here on August 15, 2015. I can't say enough good things about the Inn, the innkeepers and the wedding coordinator Terry. Everyone makes you feel like family and the setting is spectacular and magical. My guests kept raving that the barn looked like "a movie set", and the food was delicious! The rehearsal BBQ was fantastic (even with a little rain), the food was phenomenal and the wedding went beautifully. The staff is professional, attentive and kind, and the inn is just lovely and homey. They were so observant and on top of the weather, moving and adjusting to a little rain that everything went on without a hitch. The inn itself has a quaint warm feel, and there are so many things to do in the area from hike the local trails, bike ride or head into the local town. All the rooms are unique and lovely. I can't wait to go back and enjoy the seclusion and the food. A perfect place to relax, enjoy some outdoor activities and eat to your hearts content! I would recommend this place to anyone looking for a weekend getaway or a rustic Vermont wedding location!

I am just coming back from my son's wedding this weekend and I felt compelled to write this review. The owner of the West Mountain Inn and their in house wedding planner could not have done more to make the rehersal dinner and bon fire that happened after the dinner more perfect. They were patient , extremely communicative and very helpful with the planning and thought of every single detail to make it a magical night. They accommodated food requests and last minute changes with a smile on their face. They were always calm and collected and I truly felt like a guest at my own party. My only suggestion is to add extra servers as some of the food did not come out at the same time, but that is a minor detail and easily fixed. The Inn is clean, comfortable and inviting. It is close to shopping and many fun activities for all ages. I would recommend the Inn to anyone having a wedding or a family reunion or any outing at all.

We recently held our wedding celebration at the West Mountain Inn and the only words that I can use to describe it are "incomparable" "amazing" and "wonderous" My words for Amie, the owner, speak to her talent in guiding our event. Terry is the remarkable Wedding Coordinator of exceptional skill. Both Amie and Terry are easy to work with, accessible whenever you need them, and working all the details to make the wedding memorable and trouble free. Jeff is the Head Chef and he oversaw all of the meals and treats expertly. All of the food got rave reviews from our guests with fresh ingredients and wonderful taste. The service staff under Terry and Jeff are to be commended for their attention to the Hosts and Bride &Groom, the families and all of our guests. - The rooms at the Inn were spotless, charming, spacious, and Vermont themed. The dining area, bar, and sitting areas were perfect for guests to mingle and prepare. The grounds are stunning, with mountain views in three directions. The lawn and fields for our reception party and wedding ceremony were perfect. - And, then there is the Barn! Our wedding used the entire property to it's many advantages - and the Barn was enchanting for our wedding celebration party. We worked closely with Terry & Amie, and our Florist (Flowers by Cara) to create the best space for a party, dancing, mingling and dining. THEY SIMPLY ARE THE BEST! I can not think of a detail that we did not work over or try to make the space more beautiful. They were patient and offered many suggestions to manage costs, the flow of guests, music and lighting. - As you can tell I am so pleased with every touch and space at the West Mountain Inn. My wife and I enjoyed and experienced the most delightful day of our lives, and our daughter had the dream wedding she desired at the West Mountain Inn because of Amie, Terry, Jeff, the staff there I can't say enough for their efforts. Thank You Amie, Terry, Jeff, and Cara.

West Mountain Inn was the perfect venue for our rustic wedding. Being able to take over the entire inn for the weekend was magical. The rooms are well kept and unique each in their own way. The service is the friendliest around and you really feel like you're in your own home. They were in the process of switching wedding coordinators the year of our wedding, which made me nervous. There were a few times I felt they were playing "catch up" or there was a lack of communication, but in the end it did not effect the quality of their service. Every single guest at our wedding was raving about the venue, asking how we found it. The grounds are well kept and they really go above and beyond to make your wedding day everything you dreamed it would be!
