The facilities are cute, unique, and well kept, though the minimum head count is more than can be hosted on site. The grounds and facilities for hosting the key events are well suited. The garden where our ceremony was held has an excellent view of the West Mountain, making for a gorgeous experience (especially in autumn near peak foliage when ours was held). The barn where receptions are held (and would have staged our ceremony in the event of rain) is also a gem and we had a wonderful dinner and vibrant dance floor there. We recommend staying in the millhouse if you wish to host parties after your rehearsal dinner and/or wedding night (the barn closes at 11 pm) with friends. Millhouse 1 and 3 have patios. This allowed people staying in the inn to sleep without disturbances while allowing the night to end organically, and hopefully catch up with many old and distant friends and family more than during the wedding events. Amie, the owner and de facto "wedding coordinator" was so helpful and accomodating every step of the way. The excellent communication and abundant resources and recommendations made the planning process a breeze and culminated in a perfect day. We had the entire inn to ourselves and our guests all weekend. Our family and friends loved sharing breakfasts together and exploring everything the grounds had to offer. Amie and her staff are extremely friendly and know what they're doing when it comes to pulling off a fun, seamless wedding. Outside vendors in the area love working with them and love the venue too. The food is amazing (both the wedding catering and meals at the inn). The rooms are big and charming. And the setting is spectacular. We could not recommend the West Mountain Inn more highly.

One example that stands out was when one of the air conditioners in the guest bedroom went down right before the wedding. The maintenance crew was on it immediately, and when they couldn’t fix it right away, they simply replaced it — no questions asked! It’s these thoughtful details that really made the experience stand out. As for the weather, we were a bit stressed leading up to the day since it was calling for rain. But Amie and her team had a perfect plan in place. When the rain didn’t let up, they turned our biggest fear into a magical experience. Amie kept a close eye on the weather and made sure everything was set up indoors, but also had a backup plan to use the outdoor space when it cleared up. It was seamless, and our guests were in awe of how everything came together. The venue itself is absolutely stunning. The rustic charm of the West Mountain Inn is the perfect backdrop for a wedding, and the onsite accommodations were clean and ideal for our guests. Our ceremony was breathtaking, and the intimate, secluded setting made it feel like a true escape. To this day, we’re still receiving messages from guests telling us it was one of the best weddings they’ve ever attended — and we have Amie and the West Mountain Inn staff to thank for that! tself is such a fantastic venue to bring your wedding parties together for the weekend, but what truly sets this venue apart is the on-site coordination. Amie was responsive from the day we booked the venue (even before!), fielded all of our questions in a timely and thorough manner, and took so many of the details and coordination off of our plates leading up to the day. We worked with many vendors Amie recommended, all of whom were fantastic, and they all commented on how smoothly weekends at WMI are able to flow since they are able to coordinate with Amie directly. There is truly not one thing I would change about our weekend - it exceeded all of my expectations, and Amie is to thank for most of it! The rest of the staff was also wonderful throughout the weekend, truly making us feel taken care of the whole time. The food is delicious, the service throughout the reception was excellent, and everything ran exactly as planned according to schedule. The sound set up (coordinated with the band) was also great. We were able to arrive early on Friday with the option to have as much or as little involvement in set up and decorating as we wanted. The inn is also set up fabulously for getting ready, with two dedicated suites with lots of space, and the venue has so many locations for photos that we were able to take advantage of. If we were to do it all over again, I wouldn’t change a thing! West Mountain Inn is the best!!!

kend celebration with WMI was magical and memorable to last a lifetime! To start, Amie is the best wedding planner/coordinator/inn owner you will ever meet. We had the absolute pleasure of working closely with her throughout the planning process and day of coordination. We cannot speak more highly of her! From the initial tour of the Inn to our checkout on the day after our wedding, she was always present and on top of everything. Her communication was always clear and informative and was just a pleasure to work with. All of our outside vendors (photographer, flowers, DJ, hair, and makeup) were spurred from her suggestions, and all of them even raved about working with Amie! Clearly, she has this effect on her staff, as all of them were an absolute pleasure to work with too! The grounds of the West Mountain Inn were the ideal setting for our wedding vision, a retreat weekend nestled in the picturesque Vermont mountains. The Inn had enough room for about half of our wedding attendees, which created a truly intimate setting. Our guests all thoroughly enjoyed their stays and became friends with the Inn’s dogs and alpacas. Part of our decision was based on the West Mountain Inn’s ability to conduct the catering for our rehearsal dinner, wedding day, and morning after brunch. OMG, the food, just incredible! A huge shout out is due for Chef Jeff, and we were blown away by the quality of everything we consumed. In conclusion, if you’re seeking a retreat weekend wedding experience and vibe with the “Vermont way”, then look no further than the West Mountain Inn!

You feel welcomed and at ease in this beautiful space.  Looking back, I can't emphasize enough how important it is to have such a helpful team be part of the venue. Here are some key elements that really made a difference to us: 1) Amie and her staff are not only kind, patient, and just lovely to work with, they are experts on planning and running a successful wedding weekend. I am someone that can be a little anxious about details, but Amie always made me feel like my needs were listened to and taken care of. So, when the time came, I was able to enjoy the day with family and friends without even thinking about the 'what ifs.' Her staff was so warm and friendly, always making sure my husband and I always had what we needed. Also, we had a guest that had special dietary restrictions and the staff went out of their way to make sure she got her specially made treats. It was very sweet and so appreciated. Overall, Amie was so flexible and understanding and let us have a great time while making sure everything else went smoothly. I could go on and on this point. 2) The location speaks for itself - it's straight up beautiful. The grounds are maintained with such care that you really do feel like you're in a Vermont fairytale. The mountain view, the red alpaca barn, the labyrinth garden… just the perfect backdrop for a ceremony. Plus, the inside of the Inn and guest rooms are absolutely lovely. They are all quaint and unique in their own way. 3) The single most appreciated element was how this was an all-inclusive experience. We had ALL of our wedding events at the Inn. We had a lovely Welcome Pizza & Smores party on Friday. I highly recommend doing this, we all had a blast to kick off the festivities!! Then the ceremony was held in the side yard and the reception was a short walk to the barn. Finally, a lovely goodbye brunch on Sunday to recap the weekend and send guests on their way! Having everything at the Inn made the weekend feel like a breeze. No one was stressed about traveling from location to location. Plus, our guests that might need some rest between events had their room right there. It was very heartwarming to see all our loved ones enjoy catching up and hanging out on the property that was all to ourselves. While all elements of wedding planning come with a little sticker shock, I truly believe our experience at The West Mountain Inn was a great value for the price. Having an experienced coordinator and team really is priceless when planning a wedding. Plus having the whole property for an entire weekend made us feel like we had the VIP treatment, which is what you absolutely deserve during your wedding! The feedback we got from our guests on the food/venue/wedding as a whole was nothing but positive and everyone had a blast. This venue will not disappoint, these folks know how to do weddings!!!

We were originally supposed to get married in 2020 but had to push it back and Amie helped us to organize the new date and was very understanding, which made a very stressful situation so much easier. The night before the wedding Amie did an awesome job of organizing the wedding party to run through the rehearsal, which was incredibly helpful because it was a lot to try to wrangle all of us. On the day Amie was crucial with organizing all the vendors so that everything went right as planned. She is so amazing to work with and made everything about out wedding so easy and stress free. The food was fantastic, we have had multiple guests tell us that it was the best food they ever had at a wedding. They were also great accommodating dietary restrictions, one of our guests needed a vegan meal, and she said they made her a delicious dinner that was thoughtful and filling, which she said is rare for her at weddings. The servers were so kind, attentive, and fun. The coordination with food and drink was impeccable and no one had to wait in long lines at the bar, which was awesome! We have stayed at the inn multiple times and it is so lovely. The breakfast is always delicious, the rooms are comfortable and charming, and the property is beautiful anytime of year. Whether you are getting married or looking for a vacation in Vermont this is the place to go!

An amazing venue coordinator? There aren’t enough words in the English language for how incredible Amie is. She answers every annoying question an anxious bride (me) sends her over email. She is so organized but also has an impressive creative vision to ensure your day is so beautiful. There’s no need to hire a day-of coordinator when you have Amie. There’s barely a need to hire a planner when you have Amie (we didn’t have one). She has such great recommendations and relationships with all the wedding vendors in the area, which makes planning a destination wedding a breeze. She also has just such a wonderful calming presence that is invaluable in the craziness of wedding planning and day-of. If you’re deciding between WMI and another venue, stop considering- book WMI.

ilies are raving about the venue and it was so special to have our closest friends and family staying on site. With 14 spacious rooms in the Main inn and then three townhouses with two bedrooms each, You can build out the little community that you want to be surrounding you for your entire stay, and you can take comfort in knowing that the rest of your guests not on-site are having an amazing time exploring Manchester, Bennington and everything in between. We had our parents, grandmas, siblings and bridal party stay with us for the whole weekend. It was so nice to not have to worry about anyone traveling on the day of, and it was great that my grandma could go and rest when she needed to throughout the weekend without missing out. The events themselves were so much fun. The layout of the property makes each portion of your party feel unique and interesting; the welcome party, ceremony, cocktail hour, reception, after party and brunch each had their own spot and distinct vibe. Amie, the owner and wedding coordinator, is incredibly responsive to concerns and answered all my *hundreds?* of emails throughout the 15 month planning process. The barn is gorgeous, with the string lights and outdoor Edison bulbs the entire space lights Up like a fairytale. The grounds have so many gorgeous little nooks for beautiful photo moments, and there are hundreds of acres of hiking trails to explore. The food throughout the weekend was really delicious and reasonably priced. The bartenders made awesome signature cocktails and kept things moving swiftly, there was never a line. The entire staff functions like a well oiled machine, but they also make you feel so special, like yours is the only wedding that matters despite them having weddings almost every weekend in season. They are experienced professionals who know how to make your event amazing. Every detail that I was worried about was already attended to and planned for. They take care of everything and you don’t need to stress. If you’re considering this place, don’t hesitate to book it!!

They were accommodating to dietary restrictions and check offered amazing options. Try the butternut squash ravioli!!

as such a pleasant and easy experience working with Amie, the Inn's owner and wedding coordinator, throughout the entire planning process. She was so flexible, especially with our postponement due to COVID, and she provided us with an entirely customizable wedding weekend experience that fit our wedding size and priorities for the celebration. Amie helped us with recommendations for other vendors and took care of all of the other details, including rentals. The West Mountain Inn is a beautiful and secluded setting in Arlington, Vermont with mountain views and perfectly maintained gardens. The Inn itself is charming with cozy rooms and delicious breakfasts. One of the highlights of our wedding weekend was our rehearsal dinner barbecue on Friday evening followed by a welcome party for all of our guests with craft Vermont beer, donuts, and s'mores around the bonfire. Our wedding reception used so many of the great locations on the property, starting with a cocktail hour on the side lawn, a reception under a stunning sailcloth tent overlooking the mountains, and then we finished the evening with dancing and dessert in the Inn's barn. So many of our guests have told us that our wedding was the best wedding they have ever attended! We are so grateful to have started our married life in such a special way at the West Mountain Inn and we can't wait to come back to visit in the years to come. I highly recommend anyone planning a wedding in southern Vermont to book the West Mountain Inn as your venue!

It was fun having all of our closest family and friends on the property and we loved how quaint and unique the different rooms were at the Inn! We also reserved all rooms at The Arlington Inn nearby which made it easy for extended family to participate in the weekend festivities! Amie hosted our rehearsal dinner/welcome party Friday night. Our guests LOVED the pizza bar - especially the buffalo chicken pizza! The sangria and apple cider doughnuts were also very popular. I appreciated Amie's wide assortment of wedding props which added extra character throughout the weekend. The day of our wedding, Amie did a great job coordinating the vendors and getting everyone in the right place at the right time. The bridal suite was spacious and very well lit. The Saturday morning complimentary breakfast was impressive - great quality and unique ingredients. Our ceremony was at the maze garden which was absolutely stunning! We had dinner under a sailtop tent (I recommend spending the extra money for sailtop if possible), and we moved to the Barn for dancing after dinner. One recommendation: if the event is in the barn and it's going to be hot, plan for more fans! While festivities must end at 11pm, Amie recommends the Millhouse suite as an after party location (right down the hill where our groomsmen stayed). It was perfect for our guests who wanted to keep the party going and the proximity didn't interrupt the flow of the night. Amie also coordinated shuttles for Friday/Saturday - everything ran smoothly and right on schedule! Our guests loved the cheese/meat table at the cocktail hour - the cheeses were amazing! I was glad I upgraded our starter salad (with figs/goat cheese). We wanted to serve hot pretzels at the end of the night, but Amie couldn't get them from her distributor. Instead, I brought the pretzels from Sam's Club and Amie's team cooked them up and packaged them in our custom wrappers for guests as they left - I appreciated the flexibility and attention to detail! I'm so grateful to have met Amie and to have experienced the hidden gem that is The West Mountain Inn! There's a beautiful garden labyrinth with the backdrop of the green mountains, adorable alpacas, and a spacious place to host an outdoor homemade pizza or bbq rehearsal. We hosted our cocktail hour on the big lawn in front of the barn where there's enough room for a tent or an open air gathering. Then we rounded out our wedding evening eating the delicious meals the inn prepared, and danced it up in the iconic wooden beam barn (Oh the Barn!!). To top it all off, each morning, including your departure, your guests are treated to a sensational breakfast. Amie and her staff are fantastic. They can help you with planning details with everything from rooms for your guests, local vendors they recommend, special food requests, organizing a bus if you have guests staying in the area, even hiking suggestions for down time. So many of the vendors we worked with said this is their favorite to come to. I mean I'm sure the others are great, but the West Mountain Inn is a true gem. We'll be going back for years to come.

w amazing this place is, and it will forever hold a special place in our hearts. We knew immediately that it was the place where we wanted to get married. Upon a visit to check out the Inn as a possible venue, we ended up having dinner at the restaurant (chef Jeff is amazing by the way!), and met 2 couples- couples who were once strangers and are now friends from meeting by chance at the Inn- there whose children had been married at the Inn 15 + years ago. Both of these couples have made a point to come back every year to stay there themselves because they had such a fabulous time at the weddings. That right there shows you how special this place is. Everyone who stays there, has gotten married there, was a guest at a wedding or an event, they can all tell you that there is no place on earth like it. You feel so at home as soon as you walk in as if you’ve been coming there for years. We were fortunate enough to visit the Inn during all seasons, and I’m telling you it is gorgeous in good and bad weather conditions. We had the most spectacular wedding there, and I am so excited to visit in the years coming to celebrate anniversaries, bring future children there etc. Everyone who works there is so kind and extremely professional. They made sure that we had everything we needed, and so many of our guests who stayed there with us have since told me stories about how the staff helped them with special requests. Amie is a marvel of a woman. She is never in a bad mood, never stressed, and always gives you such individualized attention that it makes you feel like you’re the only couple she has getting married at the Inn that year. The Inn is so beautifully remote (without being in the middle of nowhere), that it feels like you’re in your own private world for the weekend. We decided to host a welcome dinner at the Inn the Friday night before the wedding, and so many people have told us that they felt like they were part of an intimate celebration that took place all weekend even though we had over 150 guests. I had so many people tell me that this was the most beautiful venue they had ever seen, and some women even said that they wished they could do their weddings over again and do it at the Inn! You couldn’t ask for more beautiful surroundings, delicious food, warm and welcoming staff, and a more wonderful place to get married than the West Mountain Inn.

The day of was perfect - our families and wedding parties were able to stay at the inn, which was amazing, and we got ready there, which made everything seamless. We got married in the labyrinth, had cocktail hour in front of the inn, had dinner on the lawn under a tent and had our reception in the barn, which worked out perfectly. Amie had a ton of decorations such that we didn't have to bring or rent anything (cake stands, table numbers, signs, etc.) which I didn't find was the case at a lot of other venues. The food was amazing both Friday (BBQ) and Saturday nights - everyone raved about it and said it was some of the best food they'd ever had at a wedding. The setting was amazingly beautiful and being able to quickly walk between each event worked out perfectly. A lot of our families and friends were coming in from out of town so the experience of coming to Arlington/Manchester alone made the whole thing that much better - quintessential Vermont. A ton of people hiked the morning of the wedding or explored downtown Manchester, which made it a nice getaway for people coming to town. We really can't recommend getting married at WMI enough. If you want a laid back wedding (and planning experience), don't want to deal with the hassle of venues where you have to rent linens/decorations/glassware, and one of the most beautiful settings I could have hoped for then get married here. Everyone is still raving about it months later. And if you're debating whether to do your rehearsal dinner there the night before - that may have been our favorite part of the experience. Pictures don't do the setting justice, from the little cafe tables on the lawn with the mountains in the background to s'mores by the campfire after dinner - it was awesome. Thank you to Amie and the WMI staff for making our wedding weekend truly the best - I really can't think of any way it could have been made better.

We used the Inn as our rehearsal dinner venue too, followed by a welcome party for over 100 guests. Everything about Friday night was perfect, especially the food and space. The day of the wedding could not have gone any smoother thanks to the Inn's staff! Despite the VERY questionable weather, Amie made SURE we had an outdoor ceremony, which was so important to us. The ceremony turned out perfect, and now every time I look at those beautiful pictures, I thank Amie for making that happen! The barn is the most quintessential setting for a Vermont wedding venue. The lighting, scenery, menu options, the staff's set up, everything could not have been more perfect. I wish I could talk to each and every future bride-to-be and explain just how good of a decision it was to book at the West Mountain Inn. Aside from the people, the property is beautiful and was a perfect private and quiet place for our weekend. You really feel nestled into the mountain with fantastic natural scenery all around. The rooms, dining room, library and lounge areas are all charming. Our wedding weekend consisted of a welcome party with pizza/salads and a campfire on Friday, then the ceremony to reception on Saturday. Breakfast was included for everyone staying on property each morning and it was amazing — plus they have tea, coffee and cookies at all hours, how great is that? The whole weekend felt like a dream. We’ve gotten so many compliments about the weekend, and we have the West Mountain Inn team to thank for that!! Can’t wait to return again for a long weekend with the family!

planning process, Amie took the time to check in with us and always had our best interest at heart. Shawn and I had many ideas and Amie not only made all of those ideas happen but she did it in a way that alleviated all the stress and made it fun for us. Hands down we would recommend The West Mountain Inn in a heartbeat!

On Friday night, we had a bbq rehearsal dinner on the back lawn and everyone was blown away by the food (ribs, swordfish, chicken, grilled vegetables, to die for Mac and cheese, and most importantly, the most to die for apple crisp, which many guests enjoyed a second serving). After the dinner we welcomed all of our wedding guests to welcome drinks with a s’mores bonfire. This was such a fun chance to be able to greet all of our guests and relax and get excited for the next day. Everyone was reminiscing how they felt like they were at summer camp. On Saturday the forecast was not good, and I was really nervous. Our rain plan was actually great because the barn is just gorgeous, but I had dreamed of getting married outside. Amie was so calm, and a few hours before we decided to move the cocktail hour closer to the inn so that if it did rain, we could easily move inside. Everything ended up working out perfectly as the rain held off for a beautiful ceremony and cocktail hour, and downpoured just as we were making our entrance into the barn. Throughout the whole rain debacle, all of the staff were so accommodating in doing whatever it took to make sure we were happy. They could have easily insisted that we go with the rain plan just in case, but they didn’t and everything worked out just perfectly. I could go on and on about how amazing every meal we ate was, how helpful and friendly all of the staff were, and how much everyone truly enjoyed the weekend, but I think the following best exemplifies the experience: on Saturday morning, I was getting ready with my bridesmaids. I looked out the window and saw my grandfather slowly walking on the grounds with his cane. One of the amazing employees drove over to him and asked him if he wanted a tour. I saw him hop in the gold cart with the biggest smile on his face, driving all over to see the alpacas and other beautiful scenery. It truly made my weekend to see how happy that made him. Thank you so much to Amie and everyone else at the inn, we truly could not have asked for a better weekend!

(and the food!) were what made the experience unlike anything we've ever been a part of.  Everything was perfect - the setup, the service, the interactions, the personalities, absolutely everything. Each member of the team clearly cares about the experience of the bride and groom as well as all of their guests and always goes above and beyond.  Amie completely took our vision and gave us exactly what we wanted and more. And the food, holy cow, Jeff and the kitchen staff put out the most phenomenal food! From the welcome pizza party to the appetizers and meals at the reception, to brunch the next morning, everything left you full, but wanting more!!  I wish I could bring them home with me! My husband is a tough critic who looked at me at the end of the weekend and said, "Everything was perfect." And it was. West Mountain Inn provided everything we could have ever imagined for the most perfect wedding.

his was the perfect venue for that purpose. The Inn has this amazing feeling -- it's cozy and beautiful and welcoming. We had the entire property for the weekend, and had events planned for everyone Friday-Sunday. I am honestly not exaggerating when I say that every aspect of the weekend was incredible. At the end, some of our guests cried because they didn't want the weekend to end. In addition to the venue itself, I can't express how incredible Amie and the West Mountain Inn team are. I had a vision for our wedding, but there were times when I found wedding planning to be a bit daunting. At every turn, Amie was there to help me. She provided vendor recommendations, advice on table layouts and food/cocktails, made sure we worked together on a detailed day-of schedule, and even ran our wedding rehearsal. She is an absolute delight to work with -- knowledgeable, easygoing, and extremely competent without being overbearing. Throughout the entire weekend, we never had to worry or think about any logistics, which allowed us to focus entirely on being with our loved ones and having fun. The West Mountain Inn will always have a special place in our hearts. We look forward to bringing our children there with us one day!

ing I was extremely grateful for as a busy medical student living across the country. She coordinated everything day of as well and made the whole process feel easy. Plus, since their chef cooks all the delicious meals it checked off an extra step in the planning process! We were able to have so many of our guests stay with us at the inn - the property is reserved entirely for you for a weekend wedding - and that made the weekend even more special and memorable for all of us. It felt like a home away from home with our closest friends and family! The West Mountain Inn was the first venue we visited and I fell in love immediately. The entire property is gorgeous and offers so many options for where to host all of your wedding events. We were able to enjoy a rehearsal dinner on the patio (with trips to visit the alpacas across the lawn) followed by s'mores at the fire pit, wedding ceremony in the labyrinth garden with views of the mountains, cocktail hour in the meadow, and reception in the gorgeous barn- what more could you ask for?! It is a truly magical place for a wedding that is authentic, full of natural beauty, and refined all at the same time. Aside from the beauty of the venue, which our guests raved about for weeks afterward, we are so incredibly grateful for the amazing staff the WMI. Everyone was so kind, caring, and supportive throughout the entire process, especially when we ran into an unexpected emergency the morning of the wedding. When the situation required us to stay in the area for longer than expected, we were welcomed to stay for as long as we needed and we truly felt taken care of. The sign at the front of the Inn says "You're one of the folks" and that statement could not be more true. We were treated like family and we can't wait to return to the Inn for years to come.

nd we went up a few days earlier just to relax and take it all in. All of the staff at West Mountain Inn are truly wonderful and such kind people! Amie, the owner, is so accommodating and was a pleasure to work with throughout this past year planning! The whole weekend was incredible. And all of our friends and family raved about the BBQ, ceremony site, cocktail hour mule bar, and the gorgeous barn! What made it so special for us, was getting to spend so much time celebrating our marriage with the people we love most. We whole-heartedly recommend West Mountain Inn and feel so fortunate to have shared our wedding with Amie and all of the staff at West Mt.

for was do-able. People still talk about our ceremony in the garden and the amazing night in the barn. If you're looking for a full weekend to celebrate your love, the inn is the place!
