And that's before you consider the cutest guests at your wedding here - Melanie's highland cows!

ground or even a large tree to get married under. They have a beautiful barn for dancing with any decorations you could want available on site. They provide all the tables and chairs. They have table cloths, napkins and runners. There are 2 cabins on site that make it so convenient. There’s a 3BR2BA that sleeps 8, a 2BR2BA that sleeps 6 and even an efficiency for the honeymoon suite over the cows. This allowed the families to be on site and spend more time together. It also made for a nearly stress-free day because I could just walk back and get the things I forgot, and I sure kept forgetting a lot of things! They provide 2 pavilions. One can be used for the reception and the other we had lawn games set up in. They make a nice rain contingency. There is a spacious bridal ready room with a bathroom and room enough for several bridesmaids. There’s a separate groom ready room. There are HIGHLAND COWS!!! and my daughter and her wedding party got to go groom the highland cows before the rehearsal and dinner. Melanie was very attentive and easy to work with. She was very organized and helped us figure out the layout for the event. She provided us with a map of the layout and list of everything we wanted to use as decorations. They have many wooden signs and chalkboard signs to choose from. There are tons of table decor and lawn decor to decorate with. No additional rental expenses are needed. We did bring a lot of our own decor because I was mixing Guatemalan and Mexican cultures together. The couple are both Hispanic but my daughter is Guatemalan and the Groom's family is Mexican. We were able to incorporate their decor with a lot of our own cultural pieces. In addition to the barn, they have a fire pit for s’mores and places to relax and enjoy the outdoors. My guests played lawn games after the ceremony. An hour before the event, a trellis we bought snapped it half dumping the flowers on the grass. Melanie and her husband came back and helped my husband set up a new backdrop and attached the flowers to it. They went above and beyond to make our experience as stress-free as possible. Many of the wedding guests left the reception when the cows came to the fence and got to feed them treats. This is such a special and beautiful place to get married that my new son-in-law wanted to stay. We will definitely be back, even if it’s only to stay in the cabins. Highly highly recommend this beautiful venue. Did I mention they have fluffy gentle HIGHLAND COWS???!!!

Our guests loved how the day flowed from the ceremony in the meadow to cocktail hour in one pavilion, dinner in another, and then dancing in the barn. It felt like we had a new experience at every turn. The owner, Melanie, was wonderful to work with from start to finish. She was warm, attentive, and always willing to help. Staying on-site for the weekend in the cottages and honeymoon suite made the whole celebration even more meaningful. We truly loved everything about it! It exceeded our expectations!

Melanie and Wendell made the entire wedding planning process so much easier. We booked the weekend package and we are so happy that we did. It was so nice to stay on site the whole weekend with our family in the two cottages. Even with the rain and unfavorable weather before the ceremony, the team at the venue put our minds at ease and helped us figure out a game plan. The entire wedding weekend was such a dream. We had several guests tell us how beautiful the venue was. From the highland cows, to the moment views, and the gorgeous fields, there is no place like The Barn at Young Harris. I stayed in the single apartment near the cow pasture. Each morning, we’d look out and say hi to the cows as they made their way around their pasture. The apartment was clean, quiet, and cozy. We had a severe thunderstorm with hail about 15 minutes before our ceremony was set to start. Melanie and Wendell worked so hard to help us still achieve a beautiful (and dry) ceremony. They took every step they could to make things run smoothly and keep our day successful. The barn, upper, and lower pavilion are very versatile spaces. We were able to borrow corn hole boards from Melanie, which were put in the lower pavilion to go with our board game station. We had a live band and the dinner tables in the upper pavilion. Then everything else in the barn. We also utilized their fire pit and did a s’mores station for a late night snack. There are so many options for set up, we were able to curate our perfect vision. I planned all of our decor myself, and really appreciate the amount of items we were able to borrow from Melanie. Her room of decor made me feel like a kid in a candy shop. And now I don’t have a bunch of extra items leftover to store or find something to do with. There is also a selection of vintage furniture available for use, which adds an extra layer of charm to your set up. Overall, we are so incredibly grateful for all of the work and support provided by Melanie and Wendell. They are kind, flexible, and so efficient. I will be looking for a reason to work with them, and spend time at their beautiful property, again!

dn’t feel like we compromised on anything! The views, the venue, the accommodations, the amenities all played a role in making the entire event personal and special. Melanie is amazing! Always smiling, always helping, always accommodating! She even took my 5 year old grandson on a walk to see the cows to entertain him while we decorated for the rehearsal. It would not have been nearly the same without her. She had vendors to recommend for everything, but worked just as well with vendors we chose. She has a massive amount of decor for use, but we used our own and she pitched in some of her pieces to fill it out. When it rained she had umbrellas for us to use. The very best part was the onsite cottages for the Bride, Groom, and parents. We were able to spend way more time with each other during the weekend because we were so close and there was plenty of room to get ready for each event. We had 80 people for the rehearsal dinner and 150 for the wedding and everyone raved about this venue. I can recommend this venue wholeheartedly! 10 out of 10 and more!

ng a dream come true for them. The entire facility is beautiful! There are gorgeous pieces of furniture and so many accessories available. All the guests were amazed at the entire event! We rented the 2 cottages and the honeymoon suite, which is such a convenient option! LOVE THIS PLACE!
