The Barn

When first booking The Barn, it seemed like a wonderful place for a wedding venue. However, on the day of the wedding, the place was not clean, there were still employees cleaning for the first 2 hours. We couldn't set any decorations or tables up, and it caused us to fall way behind. When the owner; Virginia arrived, she was very rude and said it wasn't her fault that her employees forgot. While we were standing around waiting for them to clean up, Virginia's brother was asked about the bathroom. His response was: "It looks like any other bathroom" in a very sarcastic tone. Even though it made us fall behind, we still cleaned everything up and even voluntarily cleaned and put the tables up. The brother shows up and becomes upset, asking us why we put the tables up. I called Virginia after the wedding to inquire about reimbursement for the inconvenience. She promises to send us a measly $50. It's been 2 months and we still haven't received a refund. When I call it goes to voicemail. I would not recommend this place to anyone. While the venue is nice, the customer service is terrible and the people were so rude to us. They do not have any organization, they make excuses, and do not take responsibility for their faults. If you want the perfect wedding day, go somewhere else, it will be worth it. I promise!
