The Barn on Heron Hill

Located in Saint Olaf, Iowa just off of Highway 128, The Barn on Heron Hill is a charming venue for weddings and events. The elegant barn with lofty ceilings features spaces that can easily be adapted to reflect a couple’s vision. The historic building and picturesque vistas provide a romantic setting for “I dos.” We now also offering lodging rooms that sleep up to 14 people! These rooms are fully climate controlled, have a separate bedroom, and a full bath for each unit! Brent, with more than 15 years of experience in events, operates The Barn on Heron Hill. The barn sits on classic Iowan landscape, with pastoral farms all around. The building has been minimally decorated so that a couple can add their own touches. From understated to bold, the options seem endless for how a couple can decorate and set up the venue. The Barn on Heron Hill features a number of convenient facilities. Caterers can make use of the preparation area which boasts an industrial-size refrigerator, numerous outlets, and a sink. Dressing rooms are also available, as are restrooms for guests. Inside the barn, tables can be arranged in a variety of layouts, while also providing space for buffet tables and DJ equipment. The property's Victorian home includes a wrap-around porch that can be used for photographs. Outside, there is a large area for parking as well. Vendors can easily access the main entrance from the residence driveway, ideal for deliveries and setup. Seating for both outdoor and indoor celebrations is provided and couples can choose to host their ceremony outside or in the barn. Up to 300 people can join a couple in marking their milestone moment.
