The Barn on Hubbard is a charming venue for hosting wedding celebrations in Callicoon, NY. This historic barn is nestled within a 28-acre property in the hillsides of the Beechwoods. This countryside area boasts lush green fields, rolling hills, and expansive orchards in the western Catskill Mountains of Upstate New York. The welcoming and down-to-earth atmosphere found at The Barn on Hubbard allows couples to relax surrounded by 28 acres of stunning outdoor property in this naturalistic setting. This beautifully restored 19th-century dairy barn has over 4,000 square feet of indoor space available to celebrate your wedding reception. Outside, lies a charming alcove inspired by European gardens where guests can take in the surrounding beauty while enjoying a meal. Intimate wedding ceremonies can be hosted outside the main entrance of the barn, lending a relaxed and comforting energy to your event. This rustic venue boasts its original exposed beams which can be decorated to your taste with string lights or vibrant bunting. The Barn on Hubbard was originally built in the mid-1800s by the Gabel family who had come to America from Germany. The Gabel family farmed and also had a shoemaker's shop in the barn. Today their legacy is carried on so that others can enjoy the farm on their wedding day with their loved ones.
The Barn on Hubbard is a charming space to host your wedding ceremony and reception. In order to accommodate you and your guests, the staff can also assist in the set-up of your event. Couples celebrating their wedding here will have full use of a collection of vintage props to decorate their event space. They offer bundles designed for a number of styles and budget requirements, whether you plan on celebrating a ceremony at this venue, or just the reception, or maybe even both.

There are different options for the ceremony on site, and it was easy to have a back up plan incase the weather wasn’t on our side. The silo cocktail bar and lantern lit patios were a hit! There are acres of intimate and formal photo opportunities- especially the sunset views over the field. If you’re looking for a completely customizable, indoor/outdoor, rustic but chic barn experience, I highly recommend The Barn on Hubbard for your wedding venue!

It's affordable, amazingly well-maintained, and Sara, the owner, is truly the best; the way she accommodated our requests and answered our questions made her feel more like a partner in planning than the owner of our venue. questions. The venue doesn't have AC or heating but they did provide a bunch of fans to help keep the air circulating and cool. It does have 2 bathrooms, a bar in the silo, and a catering kitchen prep area. You can choose all your own vendors which is really nice, although she did provide a list of suggested/recommended vendors in the area. The only downside is the venue doesn’t come with much for the price…you have to rent all tables/chairs/glassware/flatware/linens etc. which ended up costing a lot more than I was anticipating as there isn't a rental company in the area so you end up paying a lot to have things delivered. The barn does come with some decor items like a wooden arbor, wine barrels, chandeliers, lanterns, and things like that. There is also tons of electrical outlets throughout the whole barn for plugging in lights and DJ equipment.
