We sent to the barn about 4 or 5 times between booking it and the big day, it was easy to stop on by, we took save the dates there and went a few times to figure out the layout or take measurements. Theres no restrictions on food or drinks or decorations, etc... Kari is very helpful with all the questions you or your wedding party have and offers suggestions if asked. The barn comes with twinkle lights and chandeliers already up so the place doesn't require a lot of decorations, its already beautiful and romantic. We got loads of complements on the place and everyone that walked into the barn for the first time was amazed at how beautiful it is. We recommend this place whole heartedly!

She provided plenty of tables and decorations to choose from and her husband helped with clean up as well as helping with parking. I would highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a barn venue for their wedding or any type of party/get together!

important than you might realize when you're first starting to plan your wedding. The barn offers indoor and outdoor space and whichever you decide to use, it is beautiful! There is a huge upstairs open space, which we used for our reception that also has french doors that open up to a cute little balcony overlooking the manicured, yet rustic field out back which is where we decided to have our ceremony. The barn is built in a hillside so downstairs is a whole other big open space. There is an awesome little bar built in the last stall downstairs which has huge barn doors that open up to a patio area as well. If you are looking for a stress-free, laid back, beautiful, unique venue at a reasonable price, this is it!

My partner and I were timid at first because we are a same-sex couple and we were unsure how that might go over. That concern passed as soon as she met us getting out of our car! She was engaged and friendly and excited to show us around. The moment we walked in the barn we knew this was the place for us! Decorations were already hung [and beautiful] and the barn is spacious and well lit. Kari walked us through the whole property to show us the barn, the camping site [they have two great little spots down by the river that is about a quarter of a mile walk from the barn], and all the various locations on the property where we could take pictures. We didn't feel burdensome to her or rushed - I think we were there for close to 2 hours. Kari was gracious enough to show us every part of the venue that would be available to us. After we were done walking around, Kari said "Ok I will give you guys a few minutes to talk this over - come find me in the greenhouse when you're ready." This was perfect because obviously we had a lot to talk about! To me, that says Kari just "get's it" and made the whole experience a no hassle, straight-forward, very easy decision for us. The property is beautiful and gives you tons of options for pictures, overnight accommodations [they also have a house you can rent to stay in], and the option for an indoor or outdoor ceremony [important for us seeing as it could rain on our outdoor plans], and Kari seems willing to discuss any ideas you may have. We have not had our wedding here yet [we are booked for June 2014] but already we are at ease. Parking won't be an issue there is tons of space - even RV compatible [I am sure they have some space limitations -not sure what those are]. Kari has options for local caterers and also works with a youth program which is starting their own catering business that you can use, too! Ask her about the project - it is pretty awesome! They also have some food options from their greenhouse but are limited to what's in season. Overall we are just so excited about The Barn on Jackson. It is a GREAT bargain for everything that you get for the weekend. And it is a great bargain for the attentiveness that Kari provides to making your celebration special. We are looking forward to working with her and really feel we have found the perfect venue with all the pieces falling into place! I highly recommend The Barn on Jackson!

We held the ceremony in the back field which made for a lovely back drop & had the reception (150 guests) in the upper part of the barn. There are plenty of options for settings with the lower part of the barn being a great setting for a more intimate event. While we did decorate some, there is so much that they have to offer already present that it would not require much additional work. The owners are extremely helpful & willing to offer much assistance. They were awesome to work with and we really enjoyed getting to know them. I would definitely recommend this space to anyone looking for a more rustic style wedding!
