The Barn on the New River was the first venue we toured and fell in love with in January 2024, and we quickly realized we could not imagine getting married at any other venue. Pictures really don't do this venue justice! From the well manicured property, gorgeous barn and chandeliers, old hay barn, ponds, and dahlia garden, this venue really had it all. We even got to sneak away. for 30 minutes and take sunset pictures on the top of the mountain, which was one of my favorite parts of the night.
We loved having a list of preferred vendors to work from, and and even greater plus was the cabins all in close proximity that our immediate family members and bridal party were able to rent and be close to the venue.
The honeymoon suite was an awesome additive for my husband and I to not have to worry about driving to a hotel after our wedding night.
My husband and I would love to return and rent a cabin again in the future for our anniversary and soak up the beautiful mountain scenery where we were married.
All in all- The Barn on the New River venue and team were absolutely incredible. You would be doing yourself a disservice by not choosing them!

ing spirit about her that immediately put us at ease. She showed us around the venue and ensured us that her and her team were there to make. it. happen! And they ABSOLUTELY DID!
In truth, they were the one element of my wedding that was completely stress-free. There really isn't much more you could ask from your wedding venue.
In typical form, it absolutely poured on our wedding day. Moving the ceremony inside made next to no difference because of the natural beauty of everything. It seamlessly incorporated the look of an outdoor ceremony with the convenience and comfort of an indoor ceremony. Our coordinator Bethany flawlessly navigated the last minute overnighted umbrellas ordered. They ended up being held at the local post office due to their weight. I found out late the night before our wedding and hurriedly texted her. True to form, she provided an immediate solution and had Paula's husband at the post office first thing the morning of the wedding to have them picked up. They just could not have been more willing or accommodating to what the event needed.
Paula and Bethany truly were the backbone to our wedding! We cannot thank them enough for everything they did for us. We are so grateful!

does. She has turned a beautiful piece of heaven into a lovely wedding venue with beautiful views of the mountains all around you. She also has a beautiful garden right by the barn and a mountaintop view that she personally drove us to after our ceremony (~5min drive) where we took quite a few pictures. She went above and beyond to make sure our wedding day went perfect, and that even included allowing our wedding coordinator to cut some of her flowers to place them on our tables when our florist forgot to bring all of our flowers. We had our rehearsal dinner there the night before at the hay barn on property, and it allowed us to enjoy the venue for a few more hours. Highly recommend! Other highlights include a 4 bedroom cabin on property that you can rent, where we chose to have all of my bridesmaids stay in the night before the wedding. They also have a cute honeymoon suite for the night of the wedding to enjoy time with your new husband/wife and it is walking distance from the barn (literally right next door!). We enjoyed this space so much and highly recommend Paula and The Barn on the New River. Our guests had such a great time and continue to rave about how beautiful the property is!

just a Facetime call with Paula! While it was a little nerve-wracking to have done that, we were able to tour the venue a few months later and were even more blown away getting to see it in real life. The lighting is fantastic, and the groom and bride suites are set up wonderfully for getting ready. The aisle is super long which is perfect for getting great photos. Unfortunately, we wasn't able to use the dreamy outdoor ceremony setting because it ended up raining all day on our wedding day. Paula was instrumental in making sure that everything was set up inside for the rain plan ceremony of our dreams, and it didn't disappoint. I've had so many friends and family tell me that this is the most magical wedding venue they've ever seen and I couldn't agree more! We were able to comfortably seat 160 guests and have our dance floor and ceremony inside per our rain plan.

hile it was sunny and as beautiful as ever at the Barn, it was a chilly 36 degrees at ceremony time. Paula took every step imaginable to make sure our guests were comfortable, even going so far as to get a massive heater for the barn. She worked with us every step of the way. And the property? Words don't do it justice. It was absolutely perfect for the fall wedding I imagined. Secluded and beautiful, Paula and her husband ensured the grounds were meticulously kept. Paula is quick to respond to texts and calls and always eased my mind. The bridal suite, groomsman room, and honeymoon suite were so convenient to have right on site. The cabin on the farm was clean, spacious, and has everything your family/friends need. Mark, Paula’s husband, works so hard during the week prior to the wedding to maintain the landscaping and beautiful dahlia garden. I would also highly recommend using Caroline Orcutt as your wedding coordinator (add on service). She is beyond organized and makes sure everything runs smoothly the day of your wedding. She is quick to response to emails, texts, and calls. She also gave us tons of suggestions that would fit in our budget. We could not recommend this venue more and thank the Domske’s and Caroline for all they did for us to make our day so special!!

The barn on the new river is absolutely gorgeous for starters but the thing that caught our eye was really the package. They only do 1 wedding per weekend which means extra focus on making your weekend everything you dreamed of. We were able to have the rehearsal dinner at the barn and they have a cabin just down the road that was perfect for family to stay in.
Paula was a GEM! I mean by the end of the whole experience she felt like a family member. She was so patient and carrying and bent over backwards to make sure everything was PERFECT. The recommended vendors list they provided was spot on and she knows all of them so it made everything flow sooo easily!
The Barn also has an extra service you can add on for a day of coordinator which was so helpful. Caroline (the coordinator) took care of everything and really helped me relax. I really trusted her to keep everything on time and organized. I’m control freak so my biggest concern was I wasn’t going to really enjoy myself but with her help I was able to really live in the moment.
I’m honestly so sad that our wedding is over because it means I don’t get to see them but I’m holding onto hope that my siblings get married soon so that we can get them hitched here!

Her response time was most times in a matter of minutes and she was overly accommodating to help us connect with vendors when we weren't able to get a response on our own. Words can't express how well designed her Barn is for weddings! First its crystal chandeliers and lighting soften up the rustic barn feel, The 2nd floor that overlooks the first floor is breathtaking and finally the large barn doors and windows that can be open provide the perfect environment to bring take in the beautiful landscape while having your event in doors. She has a bar built in as well as a kitchen area for caters to work in private. Lastly I have to say that the Sonos Sound System that throughout the barn, ceremony area and outdoors led us to save a ton. I can not think of one thing that this venue doesn't offer!
If I can give you any advise, it would be to START your search by visiting this location first. I can assure you that you won't find anything more beautiful or anyone who is more personal and really cares about taking care of her client!

our life. To say that the owners, Paula and Mark, exceeded our expectations would be a complete understatement. They are an absolute dream to work with and take so much of the stress out of the planning process. The venue is absolutely perfect full of the most picture perfect backdrops and wonderful, thoughtful touches. The barn alone is a dream along with the bride and groom suite which provide the perfect, comfortable place to get ready on day of. The honeymoon suite is perfect and such a nice quiet escape after saying I do. The cabin on the property comfortably accommodated 10 of our family members and they absolutely loved it. Our wedding weekend was nothing short of magical, it served as the perfect escape for our closest family and friends from all the craziness of 2020 and we can’t thank Paula and Mark enough for all they did to make it that way.

Paula (and her husband Mark) are a true pleasure to work with! Paula has wonderful vendor suggestions and is there for the bride every step of the planning process, while Mark is the jack-of-all-trades handyman who jumped to our aid more than once! We stayed in the cabin on the property the week leading up to the wedding, and it was not only very nice and well priced, but the perfect home base for last minute planning and details.
Over all, our guests were floored by the beauty of the venue, loved the tiny touches Paula and Mark have thought of, and both my husband and my bridal party loved the getting ready spaces for both bride and groom. The ceremony was outside facing the pond and beautiful fountain, and everything about the day was magical. The options for indoor and outdoor ceremony and reception locations were a major selling point as we knew we'd have a great setting whatever the weather. It is a truly stunning place and the grounds are out of this world. Our guests were charmed by the beauty of the grounds of the venue, the barn itself, and our guests raved about how lovely everything was.
