Born and raised just a short drive away from Manchester, VT. The daughter of a finish carpenter, step daughter of a custom home builder and now wife of the top custom home builder in our area means that you will be staying on a property with custom, designer finishes! We have designed the inn with the high end client in mind. We strive to have our clients and guests feel as if they are home while here. My family; son, daughter, husband and 2 dogs live on site. I am a very open and friendly person that loves to host! Let me and my sister, Megan, (our event coordinator), host your big day!

I would choose to have my wedding at the Barnstead again and again! Highlights:
1) Meg and Andrea went above and beyond to make the day perfect. I didn't have to worry about a thing! We had meetings leading up to get all the vendors set and though they had suggestions for vendors, we weren't required to go with anyone in particular which was really nice! (Vendors I loved - K&E photography, Aaron Topfer DJ, celebration rentals, sweet birch for cake, Mach's market for food). The day ran perfectly without a hitch and was exactly what I wanted, rather than some cookie cutter idea that they copy paste for each wedding. I was very much listened to and that meant a lot!
2) The gorgeous spaces: Getting ready in the bridal suite where some of my bridesmaids stayed was perfect! Accompanied by the lunch prepped by the Barnstead to keep us fueled for the big day! My husband and his groomsmen loved hanging in the bar before the ceremony! The buildings themselves are so classic Vermont farmhouse-style. The rooms are so high end for an awesome weekend away for the guests and us!
3) The grounds! Absolutely stunning - the flowers were gorgeous and I'm sure even better during summer weddings. I didn't even have a florist because they decorated the grounds so nicely and they're so naturally beautiful. We set up our ceremony in a way that you could see the mountains behind us, which was awesome. We were going for a harvest/fall vibe and they really delivered with decorations all around the premises and setting up some pumpkins and mums that we had brought (but probably didn't even need to!)
4) The rehearsal dinner and area for that and the welcome drinks was awesome. It was SO fun having the wood fire pizzas and s'mores (the guests couldn't stop talking about this part!)
5) This is true probably for any place where your guests can stay, but this was truly a perfectly sized venue for ~80-100 guests because a perfect number of the guests could stay at the Barnstead which made it not just a great wedding day itself, but a magical weekend where we spent quality time with our close friends and family. We used catamount tours to transport other guests from nearby airbnbs and hotels in Manchester (of which there are plenty, so it's a perfect place for people to have a cute weekend away while coming to town for the wedding). Could definitely have a bigger wedding than 80-100 there, but we liked the intimate feel of that number since a large majority stayed at the inn.
Our friends loved it so much they immediately decided to get married there too once they got engaged!
Cannot recommend enough!

The Barnstead was the most perfect venue for us. All the staff was so accommodating and they did a great job making sure our wedding weekend was magical and beautiful. The rooms are stunning and the property itself is very elegant. I wouldn't have wanted to have it anywhere else. We can't wait to go back for our anniversary!

To say the Barnstead Inn is the perfect wedding venue is an understatement. From when we first toured the property in the Winter of 2022, we immediately knew this is where we wanted to get married. The staff were welcoming and kind, making us feel like family from the beginning.
Throughout the planning process Meg and Andrea were a great team who guided us through each decision based on past experiences. We met with Meg regularly via Zoom and phone calls, and she worked closely with us to answer every question we had, and thoroughly explained to us what would and wouldn’t need in order to keep our budget in check. She recommended vendors, day-of timelines and optimal layouts but was also amenable to the new ideas we wanted to try out.
One of the benefits of the Inn was the ability to have members of our family and closest friends stay on-site throughout the weekend. The rooms and suites were perfectly suited for our guests, and the staff treated all guests with the best of care.
We hosted a few events on the property throughout the weekend including the rehearsal, post-rehearsal drinks in the tavern, wedding reception and farewell breakfast. Each of those events were perfectly staffed, expertly coordinated and immaculately decorated. Our guests still rave about how stunning the grounds were throughout the property.
When our wedding weekend finally arrived, we felt like the wedding we had planned with the crew at the Barnstead was a perfect reflection of us as a couple. We had a few last-minute tasks to complete, which Pete, Andrea, Meg, and the staff all lent help in accomplishing. The events went off without a hitch, and the day was perfect.
It’s tough to wholly reflect our feelings of the Barnstead Inn, its owners, and staff members in just a few short paragraphs. Our only regret is that we can’t relive the day every day. There’s no doubt without them, our wedding would not have been as amazing as it was. They’re truly dedicated to their guests, and we could not sing their praises enough.

What a spectacular venue and the staff is amazing. Every little detail was taken care of and the property looked stunning. The staff listened to me and made all of wishes, big and small come true. They were involved from the very beginning and supportive throughout the entire process. The inn is impeccable and the rooms are gorgeous. We were very lucky to be able to do our rehearsal dinner, wedding and reception all at the same place. We wanted a fun, casual, beautiful Vermont wedding and the Barnstead Inn delivered. One happy bride here!

We can’t thank you enough for helping to make E and J's wedding weekend a smashing success.
Your attention to detail, the flexibility and the little extras were all so appreciated.
From the fall entrance display, the new bridge, the extra and extra and extra late night breakfast sandwiches, you kept saying yes with a smile to everything that was needed or asked for and it was above and beyond!
You have a great staff that also does their job with a smile at all times. So many people who were staying at the Inn commented on how amazing the property and rooms are. The breakfast was extremely delicious and accommodating as well. My sister loved all the choices of “dairy” for her coffee!

The Barnstead Inn was the perfect choice for our wedding! As it was a second wedding, we wanted a very relaxed and casual setting that was surrounded by the beautiful Vermont mountains and beautiful flowers. The Barnstead Inn, the owners and their staff are simply AMAZING! Everything was perfect... all of our guests loved the rooms, outdoor fire pits and gathering areas, breakfasts, pizza night (not your average pizza night for sure!) and most importantly the hospitality and friendliness of entire staff. Our celebration weekend was absolutely perfect! Our marriage began with Lucky (The Barnstead Inn resident dog) in attendance... off to a good start I say!!!

The Barnstead Inn is a very special place. We spent our daughter’s wedding weekend at the Inn, along with all of the bridal party and family. The only comment we heard all weekend was, “what a fantastic place”. In addition to providing beautiful accommodations (complete with a delicious home cooked breakfast every morning), the staff helped us host a sit-down rehearsal dinner and a pizza welcome party for over 120 people. Both events were perfect with delicious food, locally crafted beer and an atmosphere that can’t be beat.
Megan, the event coordinator, helped us book multiple vendors from tent rental to wedding transportation and everything in between. She met with us whenever we asked and made sure everything was just how we wanted it (even last-minute requests were accepted without hesitation).
Andrea, the owner, takes great pride in the Inn and it shows. Every detail receives her full attention and is flawless. She was involved in every aspect of our beautiful weekend and made herself (along with Megan) available to us morning, noon and night. She has an exceptional staff that feels like a family and by the end of the weekend they made us feel like family too.
I could go on, there were so many great things both big and small. The next time we host an event, family gathering or want a weekend away, it will be at the Barnstead Inn!

My husband and I recently got married in Manchester, VT and utilized the Barnstead Inn for our rehearsal dinner, welcome party, and used the entire grounds to house our wedding party. Andrea, Megan, and their team did an outstanding job the entire weekend. Paying close attention to everyone's needs and desires, our guests left happy and wanting to plan their own weekends at the inn.
The Barnstead Inn is everything beautiful Vermont has to offer. Their grounds are beautifully manicured with endless flowers, a relaxing creek, tons of outdoor seating, and a clean heated saltwater pool! We stumbled upon the inn needing more accomodations for our wedding party, and knew this property was the perfect place to have not only beautiful rooms for our guests to stay in, but also space for everyone to enjoy the great outdoors.
We worked closely with Megan & Andrea during the planning process of our rehearsal dinner and welcome party. They recommended the best catering in the area and assured us everything would be the vision we wanted. For our welcome party, we had their amazing brick oven pizzas (our guests still raving about these) and had lawn games provided by the inn for our guests to enjoy.
Along with our rehearsal dinner and welcome party being on the property, myself (the bride) and bridesmaids got ready in the Farmhouse Suite. This was perfect for everyone and allowed plenty of room for comfort and relaxation getting ready.
Although I didn't get married on the property, I'm confident my wedding would have gone smooth, considering all of our other events hosted there have. If anyone's looking for a beautiful property with amazing food & kind, caring staff - look no further!
Our guests are still raving about the beautiful property, their welcoming staff, and the smooth rehearsal dinner and welcome party the Barnstead Inn provided. We can't recommend anyone else!
