My husband and I got married at the Beachmere this September and overall it went very well. We did our ceremony outside and a cocktail hour/reception inside the event room. The food was very good, the price for everything was affordable, and the property was beautiful. The Beachmere also provided complimentary shuttle service from the church parking lot to the Inn.
However, the reason I am giving 3 stars is because of the new events coordinator. Months leading up to the wedding when payments were due, Maria never reached out and I had to proactively call the venue to make sure payments/amounts were accurate and paid on time. Then, a couple weeks prior to the wedding, I had sent Maria detailed timeline, decoration, music, and other information on what would be expected during the wedding (which was requested by Maria). However, during the rehearsal, Maria seemed very disengaged and almost like she didn't read any of the information (she couldn't remember the time of the wedding, what decorations we were using, layouts, etc). Additionally, when I would ask questions, she gave unclear answers and gave me no sense of comfort that the day would run smoothly. Fortunately, I have great friends and the night before the wedding we coordinated who would run music, set up decorations, etc. because we did not trust Maria. The wedding day ended up going well, but I hope the Beachmere finds a new coordinator that is more engaged, detail-oriented, and organized so that it is not so stressful.
My wife and I were married at the Beachmere Inn October, 2014, and it was truly the best time of our lives. From the minute we arrived the amazing staff could not do enough for us. We had the elopement package, and what we received far exceeded anything we could have imagined. Our suite in the West Building was simply breathtaking, like having our own little apartment overlooking the ocean! Each night we received one wonderful gift after another left on our bed - it was so exciting to see what was coming next! Our wedding day was simply magical, and the staff could not do enough for us and our guests. Big thanks to Tracy who took care of us during the planning and Shannon who was there for us our whole trip on a moments notice. Also big shout outs to the ladies in the spa - we will never forget our first massage experience! I can't say enough about this place - you MUST go! We can't wait to go back next year - thank you Beachmere Inn!
