I would not recommend this company to anyone with a small bridal party. I saw lots of great reviews for this company online, so I thought I'd give them a try. They were initially h...
esitant to take me on as a client because they would only be working on me (the bride) and my MOH on the wedding day. They eventually said they would be able to make it work, and we tried to set up a trial for hair and makeup. It took forever to hear anything back from their coordinator (their excuse was that they were having trouble finding a stylist/MUA available for my wedding day), but finally they said they found one hairstylist/MUA available and that the soonest trial appointment date would be a month out. I agree to the appointment, and a couple days prior to the scheduled day they reach out to say that the hairstylist/MUA needed to reschedule. I agree to reschedule, but at this point we are getting quite close to the wedding day. The new appointment is scheduled for less than a month away from my wedding.
When I show up to the appointment, everything initially went fine (besides the hairstylist/MUA showing up late). Towards the end of her doing my hair I began talking about how I wanted my makeup done, and she was extremely confused. She said that she was not informed that she would be doing any makeup trials that day. Mind you, I was told by the coordinator that this would be a hair AND makeup trial. I had already driven an hour to this Tehachapi salon from Bakersfield and we were less than a month away from my wedding, so I was stressed about how we were going to fit another seperate trial in before the wedding. My wedding planner was there with me, so she made a call to the coordinator and wasn't able to get a solid answer about what happened. However, the hairstylist/MUA agreed to still do the makeup trial for me. She first had to run home and grab her makeup supplies, though, which meant we were left waiting in the salon for another ~30 minutes. The makeup trial went fine after that, but I was extremely disappointed with how unprofessional the whole experience was.
I decided not to book this company for my wedding. Their poor customer service throughout this entire process makes me think that they saw me as a low-value client due to my small bridal party size. I didn't seem to be worth their time or effort. It sounds like this company provides great customer service to large bridal parties, so I just want to put a warning out to any brides with small bridal parties before they make my same mistake of thinking that the same level of care and effort would be extended to them.

suring that I had the best for me and my bridal party. They made this process as smooth as possible guiding me every step of the way. The customer service is top notch and they truly look out for your best interest.
Do yourself a favor and make sure you book a trial. This was an amazing opportunity to discuss in person the look I was going for and be able to give feedback and changes for the big day. They were very open and welcoming of all suggestions and questions I had.
The day of the event they came early and prepared. Time went by so quickly and they were very efficient in keeping to the timeline. That definitely helps when you have a big group of ladies all needing to get hair and makeup done before the photographer arrives. This made me stay calm and relaxed knowing everything was running smoothly with this vendor. On top of being efficient on the day they really took the time to make sure each of us from the bridal party felt beautiful and confident about our final look. Each look lasted well into the late night!
Definitely look into inquiring ASAP for your wedding, special event, or anytime you want to be glammed up. Lastly, thank you so much to Allie for always answering all my questions, concerns, and everything in between! Can't wait for the next special event for me to get all glammed up!

They really helped make this process in wedding planning easy and the scheduling was flexible. We all were happy with how our hair came out and with how our makeup came out as well. I truly felt and looked like a blushing, glowy bride!
Its been four months since our wedding day, and Iâm still feeling super happy and overjoyed about everything that happened that day. It started with Allie saving the morning for me...
for what couldâve been a disaster. I got a hotel room where I hoped my bridal party would get ready but I didnât check in the night before and when I got there in the morning, they couldnât find my record of me reserving the room. Allie got there before me and explained to the manager what was happening, and before I could stress out about the situation, Allie already managed to set up one of the conference rooms so we can get ready. I felt like a had friend instead of a vendor to do a job. She was so organized and made the whole event so comfortable and fun. She had everyone on an organized schedule for hair and makeup so there wouldnât be any time wasted. Her whole team was so kind, friendly, and more importantly TALENTED! Everyoneâs beauty was majestically enhanced by The Beautiful Life team. My whole bridal party looked absolutely gorgeous! If I was to have another event, I would choose Allie and her team over and over again.

professional! Allie and her team did my hair and makeup for my engagement shoot, my wedding, a reshoot for some wedding pictures we did not get to do on my wedding day, and my graduation shoot a few months later! Each time I felt beautiful and confident, but best of all I felt like me. My wedding makeup stayed out looking beautiful for my pictures all night long through the dancing and tears that happen during weddings.
Allie has a way of making you feel beautiful in your own skin and enhancing your natural beauty you walked in with. For my wedding, Allieâs team serviced me and my entire wedding party. She was organized, on-time, professional, and fun the whole time she was there. (And she had the best playlist!) I will definitely use her for future events and I recommend The Beautiful Life Nation for weddings and any other special event you have. The BEST in Bakersfield by far!
Allie and the team were really enjoyable to work with!!! They are very professional and made us all look great!!!

tarted right away and had a system to get everyone done by a certain time. We were done ahead of schedule! Which everyone knows at weddings, thatâs usually what causes any delays. Not only was their efficiency awesome, everyone looked incredible! I was so happy with the way everyoneâs hair and makeup turned out. They took the time with me before the wedding as well to do a trial run to make sure I liked the hair style I chose, and so my makeup artist could learn my skin. It made such a difference and everything was spot on for the day of. Canât recommend them enough, it took so much stress off of me for the big day to know that these things were taken care of and taken care of so well.

You do not need to look any further for a hair and makeup team! Book Allie and her team at Beautiful Life and you won't regret it. I was very nervous about booking a make up artist...
for my engagement party - I've had bad experiences in the past with make up artists that weren't very experienced doing make up on darker skin but Allie is phenomenal. She did makeup for me, my mom, and 3 sisters. All of us have different skin types and undertones and she had all of us looking our best. I have truly never felt more beautiful and I can't thank her enough. All of my sister and my mom loved how they looked as well. The makeup photographed beautifully and looked amazing in person as well. Allie is honestly magical!
And it wasn't just our makeup that we loved - our hair turned out fantastic and it stayed perfect all day and all night, even through all the dancing! I can't say enough good things about Beautiful Life. Not only are they incredibly talented, they are flexible, easy to work with, and so much fun to be around! Thank you Beautiful Life!

gave me The Beautiful Life's information and I made contact right away. My friend also gave me a particular makeup artist to request, however she was not available on our date. Even though I was a bit disappointed. For some reason I wasn't worried at all and gladly accepted the artist placed with us.
The Beautiful Life kept in contact with me leading up to the wedding day. Unexpectedly, the morning of, our artist had a emergency & wasn't going to make it to our appointment. Again, for some reason I wasn't worried. I received a phone call from the owner & the original artist that I requested making EVERYTHING alright & servicing us herself!!! YAAAAAAY!!! She was EXTREMELY professional. Wonderful personality. She made my Mother feel completely comfortable & more Beautiful!!! I am honored to have worked with you & definitely will be back. I would have loved for you all to have seen the final look. Thanks so much!!

thing I wish I would have done differently is use my own foundation. I normally use a very high quality foundation that looks bright, light and clean on my face, but I feel the foundation used for my wedding day was a little darker and heavy--almost cakey.

, and she was happy to answer any questions I had. She was also easy to reach via text or email (which makes it that much easier to plan a wedding!!)
I ended up booking Allie & her team to do hair/make-up for 8 girls for my wedding. I originally only booked for 6 girls, but added 2 more girls literally like 2 days before the wedding, lol. And Allie was awesome enough to accommodate for it!! They even traveled to our Air BnB at 3am in the morning to set-up and get us all ready by 8am! CAN YOU SAY SUPERWOMEN?! I also loved the team's energy and how sweet & nice everyone was. They were all very professional.
In regards to the make-up & hairstyles, Allie & her team can pretty much pull off anything. The girls looked amazing!! They were so detailed in their work, and made sure to give each girl exactly what they wanted & were comfortable with.
I would def book Allie & her team again for any make-up or hair services!
An amazing experience from when I first contact them to the trail to the BIG day!!! Absolutely outstanding. Loved Lily and her ability to work with my mom, mother in la and myself....
