If you are looking for a fun and unique wedding venue this is the place! The staff was lovely to work with from the beginning to end. Naomi was very responsive to emails prior to the wedding and the staff on the day of were great. We would definitely recommend this venue to friends and family!
We had an amazing wedding at The Bell House! The managers and staff we worked with were incredibly down to earth and easy to coordinate with. We did not want to have our event at a catering hall or have a formal sit-down dinner, and the Bell House was just the right fit for the style we wanted for our night. We brought in a band, caterer, food trucks, decor, and about 150 guests. We are so grateful we found The Bell House.
The Bell House itself is a magical venue. We hosted our cocktail reception and buffet dinner for 225 guests, and we couldn't have asked for a better place to be. The staff was incredible - not only our venue manager - but every single bartender, the house manager, and the production manager. To have bar + lights + sound all built in was a DREAM! The catering company that Bell House recommended, Eventfull, was also absolutely wonderful.
There aren't enough great things I can say - Bell House is an amazing NYC backdrop for your wedding, AS IS. You do not need to go over the top investing in decor/lighting etc - the basics will do since the venue has great deep colors and preset lighting. If you are a non-fussy couple looking for a great PARTY venue, this is the one for you!
The Bell House was the perfect setting for our wedding reception! Naomi and all of the staff were so wonderful to work with. They paid attention to detail and made every element of our vision possible, including furniture needs and placement, gorgeous lighting, and tech support. The space itself is great, with the two bars, built-in charm, and plenty of dance floor room. And lots of guests told us afterward how nice the bartending staff were! Last but not least, the BH was a great value for the style of reception we wanted, and they made it easy to bring in vendors to complete the picture.
My husband is in a band and they were going to be playing our wedding, so his #1 venue requirement was that the live music sound as good as possible. I was a little skeptical, as I didn't want to sacrifice my dark-wood/exposed-beams aesthetic, but when we walked into The Bell House both of us gasped. We'd been there before for comedy shows, a podcast recording, an a live band over the years, but never realized they did weddings as well. They wound up being absolutely perfect for both of us!
The bars are long, with dark polished wood and friendly staff (and top shelf open bar included in the package). They hung fairy lights on the exposed rafters for a small extra fee. We got married on the stage, and then later that night my husband's band played and sounded amazing, teaming up with The Bell House's staff on the sound board to produce really professional quality mixing... which was especially impressive given that we had several family members request the music be "not too loud". The lounge area provided space for people to have quieter conversations and cluster in groups that weren't just their tables, and the main space was big enough to accommodate 100 guests comfortably with a sizable part of the floor left open for dancing.
Though a music/comedy venue might seem at first blush like an odd choice, it was unique and elegant and just perfect. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, and I was impressed with how responsive they were. I never felt like an afterthought, and was so happy to have worked with them. I could not recommend them enough!
Naomi and her team at The Bell House were phenomenal! From the very beginning, when we first visited, she answered all our questions and was extremely supportive and kind. We were really excited to find an affordable venue in Brooklyn (check out their pricing on their website) that included a full bar! She also gave us great recommendations of vendors that were familiar with the layout. On the day of our wedding, everyone at The Bell House was incredibly kind and everything went very smoothly. We highly recommend this venue! (Photo Credit: Wandermore Photography)
Beautiful venue, awesome sound, great staff! Pretty good deal, too. No food or kitchen, but they work with some excellent catering companies who know the space well.
The Bell House was the perfect venue!! From start to finish, Naomi was attentive and gracious. All of our questions were answered in a timely manner and she even brought up details I hadn't thought of. The fee is a bargain including the two open bars, bartenders, glassware, and venue lighting. All of the logistics were smooth and simple. Ashley, the manager onsite for the event, worked well with our Day of Coordinator. The overall atmosphere fit perfectly with our personalities and the food truck wedding we planned. Many guests commented on how The Bell House felt like "us." We were able to comfortably fit all guests in the front lounge prior to the ceremony, with the DJ's music pumped in from the Main Hall. Then after the ceremony, everyone flowed easily between the Front Lounge, Main Hall, and the food trucks serving food out front. So thrilled with the whole Bell House team!
The Bell House and their staff are the best. We chose it because it's a pretty good value if you're looking for a full open bar for a fairly large group in Brooklyn or NYC. Throughout the whole process, Naomi was so easy to work with... she was always super responsive, so matter how silly or last minute the question. It was also so great having professional sound and light technicians. It's not something that you think of when planning, but it makes such a huge difference having good light and sound.
For the day of, the vibe in the space was truly magical. The space is very "Brooklyn" but warm and classy enough that our moms loved it. We took full advantage of the stage and had bands play, which turned out amazing. We also loved having access to the back room, the front bar, and the outside tables - there was a fun little party going on wherever you went. We were so happy we went with the Bell House!
Our wedding at the Bell House was terrific. A great deal--especially in NYC--and the staff we worked with before and during the event were incredibly helpful and flexible. And you can't beat two open bars!!
Just a heads up--the photo booth at the venue doesn't seem to be super reliable (it malfunctioned during our event and is operated by a third party so couldn't be fixed on the spot).
Overall couldn't be happier with our choice!
Our wedding at the Bell House was perfect! It was the most incredible venue, the perfect mix of vintage glam and punk rock - we got so many compliments about how it was a very unique, unpretentious, offbeat but beautiful vibe. The sound system, something you don't necessarily think about when planning your wedding, is one of the best I've ever experienced, and guests were on their feet dancing all night. Naomi was great to work with, incredibly responsive and even dealt with an abundance of questions and my type A planning self for an entire year leading up to the wedding. A few tips - we had 150 guests and had to have some seating on the stage, but with the right long farm tables and lace runners, it fit nicely with the space and the seating on the stage didn't look too bizarre (a concern I had leading up to the event). Also, make sure to hire a day of coordinator to make sure everything runs smoothly. We used Kristy of "Milestone Events by Kristy" and now she's perfectly well versed and familiar with the space. She's also incredibly affordable, so I would highly recommend working with her. Between her and Naomi, we had the ultimate dream team making sure we were well taken care of on our wedding day - and to my absolute surprise and delight, everything went off without a hitch and the wedding was as gorgeous as it was fun!
