About this vendor
As the name suggests, The Best Wedding Band is one of the most sought-after live bands in New York City and surrounding areas. Although local to the NY Metropolitan area, The Best Wedding Band travels and performs throughout the United States and abroad.
The Best Wedding Band has over 50 years of outstanding talent on the band stage. The song repertoire performed by The Best includes pop, soft rock, Motown, country, standards, rhythm and blues, jazz, and so much more. The Best Wedding Bands' frontline singers create incredible harmonies, and Gordon's powerhouse vocals guarantee an eclectic mix of fantastic music.
"We believe there isn't anything better (musically) than live performances."
The Best Wedding Band was founded by singer/songwriter and recording artist Gordon Dukes, who also acts as the band's lead vocalist and music director.
The Best Wedding Band is a live instrument-only performance band, giving the nod to Gordon's touring past and performances with legendary bands and solo artists.
Gordon is also credited as a writer/composer on several music chart favorites.
Through continuous live music, they are sure to show everyone at your event a great and memorable time.

When our daughter got engaged, my husband took it upon himself to find the absolute best party band he could and he DID! The Best Wedding Band is exactly what the name says! Don...
namarie was terrific in planning and executing every detail. The wedding and reception was at our home; Donnamarie helped us with wedding music as well as reception music. Gordon and his band played the songs we requested as well as other music that had the dance floor busy the entire evening. LOVE, LOVE this band!
Absolutely incredible!!!!! The Best Wedding Band played at my wedding in October 2021. They performed with the most energy the entire night. Met our needs when it came to what type...
of music we wanted to have played. Gearing up for the wedding they were very professional, answered every question we had, made suggestions, and always answered our emails or phone calls quickly.
Friends and family still talk about The Best Wedding Band. So many of my friends have asked for their contact so they can use them for events.
We were an out of town event for them and showed up on time even earlier to get all their equipment set up and ready for the night.
My family and I have nothing but good things to say about them.
Gordon and Donnamarie know what they’re doing and know how to put on the most amazing performance.
From our first interaction to the last dance, Gordon and Donnamarie made the entire process seamless. Their experience was recognizable from the start as they guided us through the...
process, answered all of our questions, and gave recommendations that made the party unforgettable. The band arrived early to set up, the stage was organized and the lights added great ambiance. We requested music for one hour before the cocktail reception as we welcomed guests and took photos. For the party, we chose a list of songs to play and the band filled in the blanks. Gordon is a great MC, directing the flow of the party and he really knows how to read the crowd. Gordon and his band are extremely talented musicians, we still have friends and family asking about them. We cannot thank Gordon and Donnamarie enough, we would recommend The Best Wedding Band to everyone and our day would not have been the same without them!
These guys totally lived up to their name. They truly are The Best Wedding Band. We 1000% recommend them. We had so much fun, they kept the dance floor packed and they're all in...
credible entertainers/musicians.
So many friends and family kept coming up to us after the wedding saying how amazing the band was.
Gordon and Donnamarie are a pleasure to work with and plan. You will not be disappointed. Pick The Best Wedding Band and you'll have The Best Wedding.

t! The whole band is extremely professional and they always deliver. We liked them so much that we consider them as friends. We wish them the very best and would recommend them unconditionally, not just for weddings but also all kinds of corporate events or celebrations.
Gordon and his band were totally and completely INCREDIBLE!!!! They brought such amazing music, sound, positivity, exuberance, and joy to our wedding!!! The band really MADE the we...
dding!!! We still cannot get over how exceptional the band was!!! And we’re not the only ones -- our families and guests keep telling us (and they told us that day too) how insanely amazing the band was!! No one can believe it. People told us that they had the quality, sound, and performance of 18 bands combined. SEVERAL people told us that this was the best wedding band they had ever seen or heard -- and we totally agree!!! The dance floor was PACKED the entire night, and that was thanks to Gordon, the whole band, and their amazing talent. And on top of all of that, we had a very unique venue (ceremony on a mountaintop and potentially changing timelines and complicated backup rain plan for the ceremony/reception which impacted the change-over) and Gordon was so flexible and made it work seamlessly. Gordon was also such a pleasure to work with. We really cannot thank him enough or think of a better person to work with. Any time we had a question, he answered it promptly and thoroughly and often called us to discuss -- which was so helpful because he kept us calm and happy throughout the process, especially during times when I was nervous or stressed. We are so grateful for that. Gordon performed so well and his entire band was incredible! They really “read” the crowd and played the perfect arrangement -- song after song was ideal and kept the party going!!! They really live up to their name: The BEST Wedding Band -- ever!!! We really cannot recommend them enough!!!
When we were planning our wedding we realized that there are a few major expenses, like the flowers, the catering, and the band, that we could research to death, but we just couldn...
't know whether we'd made a good decision until our wedding day. We just had to trust that we'd hired professionals.
I'm very happy to be able to say that our trust in Gordon Dukes and his band was repaid a hundred times over. As an emcee he managed the event extremely well, keeping the pacing just right, he had a broad list of music we could pick from and gracefully handled music we requested -- what other band can do a perfect rendition of the Bob Newhart Show theme song with a week's notice? The dance floor was full from the very first song and we got so many comments on how terrific the band was.
I honestly can't recommend hiring Gordon for your event strongly enough. He made a very special day for us even more special.
