Words can’t fully express how incredible our experience was working with Tomas as our wedding photographer. My wife and I feel incredibly grateful that he was there to capture our ...
big day last month.
From the moment we started searching for a photographer, we knew this would be one of the most critical decisions for our wedding. After researching and interviewing several top photographers in our area, we noticed that The Big Affair was one of Bel-Air Bay Club’s preferred vendors—and it quickly became clear why. When we reviewed a few full galleries of weddings Tomas shot at our venue, we immediately fell in love with his elegant, timeless style. He has an incredible ability to blend traditional, editorial, photojournalistic, and moody styles in a way that captures all the key moments and emotions of the day.
However, beyond beautiful photographs, having a genuine connection with our photographer was essential to us—and this is where Tomas truly stood out. From our first conversation, he was genuinely interested in getting to know us and gave us a clear sense of what it would be like to work with him. As a photography enthusiast, I had many technical and gear-related questions, which Tomas was happy to discuss. While the best equipment alone doesn’t guarantee great results, knowing that Tomas was equipped with top-tier gear gave us extra peace of mind—especially since we planned on ordering large canvas prints, where ultra-high-resolution images are key. We were initially concerned that Tomas might be out of our budget based on his quote, but he went above and beyond, creating a custom package that included everything we wanted while staying within our budget.
Our engagement shoot with Tomas was our first real test in front of the camera, and we were a bit nervous since posing isn’t something we’re used to. Tomas gave us just the right amount of guidance, helping us feel comfortable and confident. By the end, what started as an nerve-wracking experience became a genuinely fun and memorable one—we were actually a little sad when the session ended! Tomas even kept shooting until the very last moment, well after the location’s security asked us to wrap up. When we received the photos, we were absolutely blown away by the results, and so were our friends and family—some even wondered if we’d secretly eloped!
On our wedding day, Tomas and his second photographer, Brian, were amazing to work with. They made us feel like VIPs while capturing every important moment. Tomas’s attention to detail was remarkable, whether it was waiting for the right light during family group shots or stepping in to guide other vendors. His assertive yet calm leadership made it feel like we had an extra coordinator helping us along the way.
In summary, my wife and I wholeheartedly recommend Tomas for any couple looking for an exceptional photographer, especially for engagements and weddings. Tomas didn’t just take pictures—he told the story of our wedding in the most beautiful way possible. Our wedding day flew by, but thanks to Tomas, we have hundreds of stunning images that allow us to relive it whenever we want.
Tomas was part of our engagement shoot and wedding in April 2024. Tomas and his team were not only a master behind the camera but also a true professional. The whole team made us f...
eel at ease, maintained a friendly and approachable demeanor, and were just so fun to be around! From start to finish, Tomas was a pleasure to have around, from putting everyone at ease whilst photographing the buildup to our big moment.
We just received our wedding photos, and we are blown away by the level of craftsmanship and artistry. Each image is truly a work of art, showing the emotions we experienced during those precious moments - Tomas truly was able to manage to encapsulate the emotions and create timeless memories that our family will cherish forever. Again, it was our honor and privilege to have worked with you.
I can't say enough good things about Tomas himself, his vision, and his amazing work. It's nerve-racking hiring a photographer for one of the most important days of your life-so I'...
m telling you, hire Tomas!! He's not only the kindest soul, but he has such an incredible vision and notices such small details that your mind is blown when he shows you the photos. I always felt like he truly cared to make sure we had some amazing photos of this special time in our lives. He'll be your teammate from start to finish. And then you'll have SO many great photos, you won't be able to narrow them down! Thank you, Tomas, for your hard work and artistry!!!
HIGHLY recommend The Big Affair! Tomas absolutely blew us away with both our wedding and engagement photoshoots. From the moment we met Tomas he ensured we felt comfortable and rel...
axed in front of the camera. My husband and I hadn't done a shoot together before but Tomas patiently guided us through different poses to find our groove, and boy did it pay off in the end photos! His attention to detail, creative eye, and dedication to getting "the shot" is second to none. Not only do we have so many great photos to choose from but working with Tomas was an absolute dream. He is a kindhearted and fun person that I hope to have the pleasure of working with again. Would give him 10 stars if I could. Thank you Tomas!
Tomas is hands down the best photographer!! If I could give him more than 5 stars, I would! You will not regret hiring him for your special day and engagement shoot.
We interviewe...
d several top/luxury wedding photographers in Los Angeles and Bay Area and had a very difficult choice to make. We are so happy that we chose Tomas! We could not be happier! He has exceeded our expectations over and over again! Not only is he an incredible photographer, but he is also kind, compassionate, and caring. When we were still making our decision, Tomas took the time to check in with us gently to see if we had any other questions. He also did a last minute call one weekend with us to help with our decision.
Tomas has a very quick response time and genuinely spends time to get to know you. I feel that Tomas cares about me as a person and as his client. We are not just another business transaction to him. That is hard to find, especially in the world of wedding vendors. He is not only our wedding photographer, but now a friend to us both! There need to be more kind people like Tomas in the world. His messages and replies are some of the sweetest and most thoughtful you will ever receive. He even took time to wish us a Merry Christmas and send kind words for the holidays!
When we were planning for our engagement shoot, he had attire suggestions as well as location suggestions and ideas. We had an incredible engagement photo shoot at Pasadena City Hall and the LA Arboretum. Both of us felt a little nervous going into the shoot, but Tomas helped us relax and have a great time. He has such a fun personality. We trusted his process and his directions for various poses. Tomas also let us take several photos with our little goldendoodle. Our photos look incredible!! He captured our love so beautifully! The photos are gorgeous, luxurious, romantic, and timeless. Some luxury photographers are wonderful but their photos look very posed or the couple does not look comfortable. However, Tomas's photos do not look posed at all and are overflowing with love and many smiles. We have been incredibly grateful with the outpouring of love from our family and friends over our photos. Everyone loves them!
Additionally (I will post a specific review on her page), his wife Agne is one of the top makeup artists/hair stylists in Los Angeles (owner of Beauty Affair) and is also incredible and one of the sweetest people you will meet in your life. She made me look so beautiful for my engagement shoot! Check her out as well if you are looking for a makeup artist and team.
We are so excited for our wedding this summer and to see Tomas and Agne again!

"cliche/cheesy" moments. The pictures we received are absolutely incredible and we are so in love with them! Tomas was amazing to work with - very responsive and professional. He was able to provide our wedding photos earlier than the slated date and we really could not be happier. If I could give a higher rating than 5/5 I would!

Not only is he such a talented photographer, but Tomas is super kind, helpful and has been a pleasure to work with during the full wedding planning process. On the wedding day, he was a very calming presence and made us feel really comfortable in front of the camera. You can’t go wrong choosing Tomas for your wedding photography!
Tomas is fantastic!!! From the beginning, the whole process was easy and comfortable. He also didn't try to upsell me, which I really appreciate. I did a lot of research before b...
ooking and his prices were reasonable and his photos are AMAZING!!! At the end of the day, the photos are what you take away from your wedding (other than your marriage, of course) so it's important to pick a great photographer and no one is better than Tomas. I love love love the photos and I'm so happy we went with him. I'm sure he books up super fast so book him now!!
One word. Magical! Words cannot express how truly amazing and wonderful it was working with Tomas. Not only is his work a masterpiece, he's an absolute gem to work with.

ays dreamed of what my wedding would look like as a kid and Tomas captured my vision beautifully. Let me just say that I interviewed all of the top photographers in LA and OC and Tomas' work shined brightly among everyone else's. He's the kindest, most professional and talented photographer I've ever met and worked with. His work speaks for itself and we couldn't be happier with how our wedding pictures turned out. If you're looking for a photographer that will capture beautiful memories, he's right here.
On our wedding day, he was so gentle and yet direct that everyone adored him. He'll get you exactly what you want with a beautiful smile on his face. I tend to be camera shy and he did a great job directing me on how to pose. Our wedding was a dream and I cannot thank Tomas enough for being present to capture our beautiful moments. These are all core memories! I HIGHLY recommend Tomas for your wedding or any event that needs to be captured. He was well-loved among the guests and everyone was in awe of his work! I would get married again (to the same man) just to have an excuse to have him take more pictures! Do yourself a favor and book Tomas. You can thank me later when you're getting teary-eyed looking at all of your stunning pictures. He's truly the best of the best….the crème de la crème of photographers.
Tomas from The Big Affair was a great photographer for our wedding and pre-wedding photos. He has an upbeat, fun personality and will work with you to make sure you get all of the ...
photos that you wish for. We extended our photography package to include several hours before the wedding and the whole wedding itself. We had so much fun working with Tomas right before the wedding until the very end of the wedding when they started turning the lights off. We are very happy with how the photos turned out. He was great at directing family members and friends suggesting how they stand, pose, etc. I highly recommend Tomas for beautiful wedding photos because you will have these as a memory from your wedding day for years to come.
We could not recommend Tomas enough! He is kind, funny and amazingly talented - definitely one of the best choices we made for our big day!
The first time we met Tomas to discuss...
hiring him for our wedding, he made us feel comfortable and at ease. He took the time to get to know us as a couple which helped in capturing photos that really showcased us as a couple. If you look at Tomas' website you can see this as each couples' photos are uniquely beautiful and reflective of their personalities and relationship.
For our engagement photoshoot we went to the beach in Malibu and this was when we really got to see Tomas' talent and artistry shine through. He made the photoshoot fun and completely eased the nerves we had about being a bit out of our element. Additionally, he was creative and meticulous about getting the best poses, angles, lighting, etc., even if it meant our shoot went a bit longer than the contracted time. And while he was happy to make suggestions, he also made sure to check with us on the types of shots and mood we wanted for our photos. When we received the photos (very quickly we might add), we were blown away! He delivered so many amazing pictures it was impossible to choose our favorites and somehow managed to make what was a crowded beach look empty.
On our wedding day, we were so excited to work with Tomas knowing he would capture the best day of our lives beautifully and uniquely. He arrived early to the venue and got to work immediately, capturing every detail and moment perfectly. Something we particularly loved about Tomas' work was his attention both to us as the couple, but also to our friends and family. Seeing the happiness and love shared not just between us, but all of our loved ones is priceless and these pictures will be cherished forever. They have already allowed us to relive the best day of our lives in such spectacular quality and detail numerous times. We would also like to add that we had countless family members and friends tell us how much they liked working with Tomas and how impressed they were with his talent and detail.
From the bottom of our hearts - THANK YOU!!

In the end our pictures turned out better than we could have imagined. We knew we are in good hands when Tomas did our wedding photoshoot. Tomas went above and beyond to make sure he captures every detail of our big day. It was so organized, thought through, and enjoyable photoshoot with amazing pictures that we will cherish for years! We definitely recommend Tomas and his team to all couples searching for a highly skilled photography company that truly invests in their clients and cares about making lasting memories as much as the bride and groom does. We appreciate Tomas’ professionalism, creativity and skills. Thank you for delivering beyond our expectations!!!

e enjoyed working with him. From start to finish he offers precise instruction and improvements to your shots so that they come out amazing and just how you imagine them. He captured each moment and detail with intention, without forgetting anything. He lead the vision and the videographer followed, and at the end of the day we were confident about the photos we would receive. You will love the high-quality design of his work!
Tomas was incredible. He was thorough and detail-oriented yet very accommodating and willing to incorporate our feedback. The shots he took on our wedding day were exquisite -- no ...
possible way that anyone could have done a better job. From family shots to action shots and detail (setup) photos, we were 1000% satisfied. He has a great eye for lighting and what will look great in a photo, and he also knows all the right shots to take to make sure we have a holistic encapsulation of the day. His assistants on the day of were high quality as well.
Highly recommend also doing an engagement shoot with Tomas, as it helped break the ice and mutually learn our photo preferences.

Look no further for your wedding/engagement/event photographer! Tomas is a true artist and the best of the best. My fiance and I hired Tomas for our wedding next year after we had ...
the most incredible engagement shoot with him. Not only did we love the photos, but we thoroughly enjoyed working with Tomas and our time spent together. He is professional, engaging, kind, and genuinely cares about the couples he works with. We have stayed in close contact with him and truly feel like he's more of a friend than a vendor! We can't wait for Tomas to shoot our wedding in 2021 and recommend you book him sooner than later!
I have really been looking forward to writing this review. From the first time me and my husband met Tomas we knew that we had found the perfect photographer.
He was extremely pr...
ofessional, very accommodating, and understood the exact vision we had for our wedding day.
We booked him a year in advance and greatly appreciated him keeping in contact with us the entire year leading up to our big day! We appreciated the fact he continously checked in on us before the wedding and after.
Let me get to it, the big day! He came in right on time with all his beautiful equipment, great big smile and had the best personality. From the moment he started, till the very end he was taking endless photos and guiding us every step.
We felt so comfortable with him, like we could just be ourselves. Also, I don't want to forget about his assistant who was amazing, and perfect to have.
As Tomas was making sure to capture all the beautiful moments, his assistant continously helped makesure every detail was perfect! They were such a great team together. I truly hope they know how much they completed our special day.
Tomas has a one of a kind eye, the way he shoots his work is just impeccable. Now time to talk about our wedding gallery! We received them with a beautiful setup. He put together an amazing assortment for us to choose from. We could tell that each photo he placed in our gallery was specially chosen.
I have to say anyone that is able to experience his work is so lucky.
I was beyond blown away! He captured every single moment of our day BEAUTIFULLY. His work is truly just....Amazing.
If I could give Tomas a million stars I would!!! Tomas is not only the most amazing photographer in the world, but the most kindhearted soul as well. As a bride there are so many t...
hings to think about, but the one thing I had total confidence in was my photographer. Tomas did both our engagement shoot and our entire wedding day, and our photos for both came out absolutely stunning. He captured the emotion of us (the bride and groom) and our guests SO well, as well as the beauty of the venue! Both aspects were really important to us, so we were thrilled at how perfectly Tomas did both. Furthermore, Tomas's super kind, caring, and professional nature makes working with him SO much fun. When we got our photos back, some made me gasp from how stunning they were, some made me teary eyed from how beautiful the memories were, and some made me laugh because I got to see moments I didn't know had happened! The quality of Tomas's photos are truly incomparable, and being able to have Tomas capture our wedding day meant the world to me. He is not only a brilliant photographer, but an awesome human being as well. My wedding day was truly a dream come true, and having Tomas be a part of it made our magical day even more perfect. We definitely hope to work with Tomas again in the future, and I cannot recommend him enough! We love you Tomas!
Tomas from The Big Affair photography is not only professional and super friendly but a phenomenal photographer.
He took the most stunning photos of our wedding, from getting rea...

I knew I was in good hands but Tomas skills and vision made for the best Wedding photos EVER.
Might I add I got the photos in an amazing timely matter!
Would definitely recommend The Big Affair to anyone looking for an astonishing Wedding Photographer to capture all those special memories on your big day that’ll last a lifetime!!!

e several years ago. Gotta say, his proffessionalism has no boundaries, we didn't even feel there was a photographer, more likely an old-long time known buddy swinging around. Every shot was taken very meticulously with special details only the proffessional would know. Noticed, Tomas is the one who won't make you tired like other photographers, seems his every shot is straight to the target. All the pictures are fantastic quality, every little detail has been cought on camera that we didn't even notice or remember it even happened. Me and my wife Kristina are very satisfied and highly recommend Tomas as a wedding photographer. All your wedding memories will be saved online for a lifetime. Thank you, buddy!

they were on their toes capturing every detail, including our tears and laughter. Plus we had excellent guidance for best photo opportunities. These guys are worth every penny for what they do, so don't hesitate to book them for your event!

to find the best out there, but luckily we found The Big Affair owned by Tomas. We fell in love with his work and could not anticipate having him to photograph our big Persian wedding. He was super professional, kind and accommodating with guiding. Our photos came very creative and way beyond our expectations. Also, Tomas captured so many beautiful moments that we can barely recall. We are very excited about it and highly recommend The Big Affair photography for your wedding!

Dearest Agne,
Thank you for helping to make our wedding day super glamorous! All of my bridesmaids looked beautiful. My hair and make up was simply perfect. I looked fresh even after 14 hours!
Thank you to the incredible dynamic duo: Ange and Tomas for making our wedding a fairytale.
I would definitely recommend booking Tomas and Agne together! They are a wonderful husband and wife team.
Agne's company: Beauty Affair
i highly recommend Tomas and his crew! Highly professional, creative, respectful and fun! His editing style is perfect and we love our photos from our special day!
Thanks Tomas!!
My wife and I have looked at many photographers and vendors, and The Big Affair caught our eyes instantly (note, my mother is a professional photographer, and my wife and I are kee...
n in observing photography). After reviewing his samples, we decided to go with him without hesitation. Tomas has been very kind to follow our stories, and he really tried to get to know us personally. He was very easy to work with, and has a calming effect on us and we didn't have a single doubt or worry about the photo, before and during the ceremony; we were able to be ourselves, have fun, enjoy the moment, and focus on building our memory. I think working with Tomas was part of the memory of our wedding. He was genuinely wanting our happiness. The reason I emphasize Tomas's personality is because the artist's perspective of the object really determines how his/her work will be portrayed. He did comment constantly that we are cute and beautiful couples, and the work showed itself as such. His photos portrayed ourselves, BETTER THAN how I imagined the best view of ourselves! The photo-journalistic style caught every moment in a natural way, and the photos do not look staged at all. The photos really capture our PERSONALITY: my playfulness, my wife's bashfulness, my father-in-law's quiet and gentle love, mine and wife's mothers exuberance.. THEY ARE ALL THERE. We did not use a videographer, but the photographs have captured all the memories/stories and tells the stories themselves, that we do not regret not having the videos! We absolutely love Tomas, and choosing him as our photographer was the best decision we've made for our wedding planning. GET HIM as your photographer while you can!!
Where do we begin with Tomas?! We first inquired to Tomas back in the middle of 2017, and have not looked back since. From his friendly personality to his impeccable work, Tomas is...
our top recommended partners that the stars at Rock N' Events consistently refer to our brides & grooms and corporate friends. His portfolio speaks for itself, and it's his time, effort and passion that sets him apart. We can feel the warmth he has with each of our brides and grooms and can trust that they are in the greatest of hands. It also doesn't hurt that he has the best eye for capturing all of our design details haha! (; We are his biggest planner fans, and we can't wait to move more mountains and create all the experiences in the world with him!
Tomas with The Big Affair is none other than the best. He was the first photographer I contacted for our big day, and he stood out in a special way. Not only with his phenomenal wo...
rk, but also with his incredibly wonderful personality, professionalism, and sense of authentic calm. Having Tomas and his team as our photographers was truly serendipitous and meant to be. He was the first photographer I contacted, the one I maintained discussions with on numerous occasion over the course of a few months, and the one I always intended would be our gifted photographer for our most important day. With a series of serendipitously aligned schedule changes, me and my husband were lucky enough to land Tomas as our wedding photographer. He literally came to our rescue and was meant to be from the first phone call! He managed the wedding with impeccable detail, organization, creativity, and design. He worked calmly and happily with all of us including the various vendors. He knew our venue like the back of our hand and was able to jump into a convoluted timeline at the 11th hour (literally) without any question or hesitation. I truly know that he was meant to be. If you are considering his services for your wedding or occasion, do not hesitate for even one second!!! The Big Affair is AMAZING in both in product and service. As a person, Tomas is the ONlY one you want managing your day. The initial photo we've been given by him is beyond epic: Stunning, phenomenal, and heavenly! Thank you Tomas for everything....words will never be enough, but I already know that we all know how we were truly meant to be. We are so incredibly fortunate to have worked with you. We can't wait to see the rest of the photos! Thank you thank you thank you!!!! To all the brides and grooms out here - get excited for the opportunity to work with Tomas and his team at the Big Affair!!! ❤️😊❤️
We picked The Big Affair as our wedding photography choice because we fell in love with how talented and professional Tomas is. A second, we saw his portfolio we were hooked and ha...
d a good feeling about connecting with him. Through the very first email and final moments, Tomas was very professional and informative. When we met him, it felt like we knew him and he explained in detail what to expect and how important it is to prepare for the photos and allocate time for it.
When it came to actual shooting, we had an incredible experience working with Tomas! From our engagement session through the wedding he guided us and captured every detail and moment that we have now to keep and cherish. The wedding album we got is stunning and every time we show it to our guest's everyone loves it.
That said we highly recommend The Big Affair photography if you are looking for exceptional experience, stunning imagery, and professionalism.
My husband and I are so grateful to have had Tomas photographed our wedding! I met Tomas a few years back at a venue and I stayed in contact. He was the first vendor I booked.

I could write an essay about how exceptionally creative and professional Tomas is.
ENGAGEMENT SHOOT
We had an idea of what we wanted our engagement shoot to be and Tomas took h...
is time to location scout and help guide us into the right direction. From locations to each shot - Tomas took his time with shots to make sure all setups look exceptional. The shoot was a blast and we had so much fun sticking to our plan as well as improvising on the spot and its during these times that Tomas pulled his best work with being creative on the spot. We loved his dedication to getting each photo right and he stayed well past the agreed hours to keep shooting and getting more and more awesome shots. Our engagement shoot turned out like a magazine cover. The shots looked very natural and full of emotion.
WEDDING SHOOT
Tomas arrived prepared and had an excellent assistant - second photographer (highly recommended) if you plan on getting each moment and expression. All throughout the wedding, Tomas was having fun with each shot to capture the most precious of expressions and moments.

sive search we came across The Big Affair photography. The owner, Tomas was very responsive to every question we had and took the time to understand the vision for the wedding.
On the wedding day, Tomas and his assistant were on time and ready to go. They had prepared everything and scouted out various locations to do our first look and pictures after the wedding.
To bring the level of dedication into focus even more; my groomsmen and I were having some issues tying my bow tie. The lighting assistant jumped in and helped, he showed us exactly how to do it and it looked great on the first attempt.
Without a doubt, The Big Affair Photography was everything we wanted and more. They're worth every penny plus more, and the pictures in our opinion speak for themselves.
Thank you Tomas and The Big Affair for being true professionals, being able to capture rare and precious moments, and a pleasure to work with.

ctations. He is a true professional, dedicated, and immensely talented, and that is what makes him stand above the rest. We had a big Russian wedding and several videographers getting in the way and he still managed to capture all our important moments beautifully. He speaks Russian, which was an additional asset, and both he and his assistant photographer, Joe, were so great to be around on our wedding day. He is honest, responsive, and he delivered our photos in a timely and creative way. He is also amazing at editing, editing all the photos to timeless perfection. Dear Tomas, thank you for recreating our wedding with so much beauty and giving us everlasting memories that we will cherish for the rest of our lives!

Tomas' artistic eye is one of its kind! My husband and I had the best experience we could ever think of having with a wedding photographer. Tomas will go above and beyond to build ...
a relationship with you, listen to you, treat you to wonderful things, and make you feel confident in your decision to hire him. My family will never hire another photographer besides Tomas. I have nothing bad to say about our entire experience leading up to our wedding, after our wedding, and what he did for us on our wedding day. He not only captured my husband and I as if we were family to him, who he knows so well or has known for years, but he captured every little detail of our wedding! I know Tomas will exceed your every expectation and wishes. His personality and his work is truly unparalleled. I treasure in my heart the memories that we have had with Tomas. My husband and I now have a beautiful wedding album of the highest quality that we received just a few short months after our wedding. The best way for me to describe Tomas' work is that when you look back at the pictures he has taken the photos come to life! The photos are crystal clear in quality and they exude life! One day Tomas and I were on the phone talking about our wedding album and customizing it and he said that he is ordering it now so that it can get to us by Christmas. This was SO thoughtful of him! He truly thinks of every little thing that will make each of his clients happy. At all times he is easy to reach, and he truly give you undivided attention. You will love his personality and all the care that he puts into your experience! Another thing that was recent and SO genuine was the day that my husband and I met Tomas for coffee and to receive our album from him and we mentioned that after we are thinking about going to Griffith Park for the first time and Tomas didn't even hesitate to offer up his time and ask if he could drive us there or we follow him there to show us how to get there and then show us around. He takes A LOT of time to give you an unforgettable experience EVERY step of the way. I could seriously go on and on for a long time talking about all the wonderful things that made up our experience with Tomas. He is always calm, trustworthy, detail oriented, prompt, joyful, and giving. My husband and I look forward to remaining friends with Tomas forever.
