The Black Tux

We had a good experience with The Black Tux for our wedding. We got tuxedos for the groom, groomsmen, and fathers some of whom live in different states. My husband and I went in for a consultation where he was measured and we picked the style we liked. Our only complaint is the sample clothes could have been cleaner as they were slightly stained. The tux arrived about 2 weeks before the wedding and fit my husband perfectly. Some of the other guys who did not go in for a measurement needed to exchange items that did not fit and replacements were sent within days. Returning everything involved repackaging the box and dropping it off at UPS. Overall the process is easy and great if your wedding party lives far from each other.

We are so thankful we chose The Black Tux for our wedding! The groom, groomsmen, and fathers of the bride and groom looked fantastic! The experience is very fun, and The Black Tux offers multiple selections to build the perfect tux for your wedding. Their customer service was extremely helpful. We had to cancel an item from our order, and the customer service representative was prompt and efficient in helping us do so. We also had a pair of tux pants that did not fit one of the groomsmen once they arrived, and we quickly received a replacement that fit!

There was no information regarding the style/cut of the suit, so when it arrived it did not fit (despite being my exact measurements). I ordered a replacement via phone as soon as possible, but it never arrived when expected. I followed-up with the customer service and they insisted it was a "System Error" so the replacement was never sent. They proceeded to overnight ship me a replacement as it was now the week of the wedding and my flight as the next afternoon. The overnight shipping arrived later than they guaranteed, so it caused confusion and I had already ordered a third replacement (assuming the previous replacement was never arriving). The third suit was to be delivered the day of the wedding because the Black Tux warehouse was closed on a Thursday (not a holiday and no reason given why warehouse was closed). The replacement I did eventually receive fit well. I just had to order a size up. Customer Service team was also extremely friendly, but they just did not help resolve anything. After the wedding I had to call Black Tux and now dispute with them that there was never a Third Replacement. Please save all your guests the headache and do not use Black Tux.

This is my first time in a tux and dealing with this company. I am absolutely satisfied with their services and it was an easy return. I absolutely recommend the service to anyone especially first timers.

Great experience using Black Tux! Our groomsmen live all over the country, so an online vendor was so easy to use and the way to go! I was a little nervous about the online sizing algorithm being accurate, but those who needed a replacement size of anything got them super quickly (and it was super easy for them to do). We had a groomsmen in New Zealand tell us he was coming to wedding day three weeks before our wedding and we were able to get him a suit on time still! I also realized I totally forgot to get a shoe rental for my husband like a week and a half before the big day - but Black Tux was still able to get us the shoes really quickly! Honestly, the whole process was smooth and super easy. The guys all looked so great on wedding day! High quality suits :)

Exceptional! I was skeptical about renting a tux online, but that's no longer the case after dealing with The Black Tux. Process was simple, especially since I have all my measurements. The sleeves on the jacket I received were a bit long, but I received it well ahead of the wedding so I went online and ordered a replacement, which arrived in a couple of days. The replacement fit perfectly. The return process couldn't be easier; box it up and drop it at UPS. Thanks!

The Black Tux was an excellent service. A friend used it for their wedding and I was able to visits a local store for measurements and a proper fitting. The suit arrived early, well packed in a garment bag and secured in a box which I was also able to carry with me while traveling in an airplane for the event. Return was also easy as I took it back to the store in person. No alterations were needed and everything fit perfect. All in all very happy with service.

Used The Black Tux for our groomsmen’s tuxedos and the process was incredibly smooth and easy. Only 1 of the guys needed to swap sizes the week of and it arrived very quickly. The return process was as simple as it could have been. 👍🏼

Had to order a very specific shirt to go with my tuxedo as a groomsman at a wedding. The black tux offered the ability to custom-make the shirt, even for just one item, and made it easy to get the measurements right. The shirt is also amazing quality, looks lovely and feels really comfortable too. I was especially pleased with the fast turnaround time and very reasonable price point. Highly recommend.

Great way to purchase &/or rent the necessary accoutrements for your Wedding Party! If they've got it in your specified colour, i was able to snag the appropriate amount of ties of the 'Cinnamon' type & they not only were 1,001% high quality, the receipt & subsequent return of the ties made everything HEADACHE-FREE following the wedding's events!! Three(3) days is plenty of time for one to return the items and, as previously mentioned, shipping it back is easy peasy lemon squeezy!!!!! 10 out of 10, will recommend to all friends!!!!!

I officiate weddings. This time, the ceremony was for my daughter. I ordered my suit from The Black Tux. Having used them before, I was confident that would be able to take care of me. The sizing was perfect other than a shirt, I didn't measure properly because, well vanity. I told them and they immediately sent the honest size I should have ordered. My daughter said I was handsome tonight. Points for The Black Tux.

I was tired of wearing the same 2 suits I own to every event, so I used The Black Tux for a wedding I attended and really liked how everything looked, especially because I chose a green suit instead of the standard black/gray/blue. The first white shirt was a little too big, but the replacement arrived quickly and was much better. The return couldn't have been easier.

Have used The Black Tux four times over the past two years for various events. For this wedding, I attended as a guest. The customer service was great. The initial jacket was a little too big & they sent me a one-size smaller jacket in plenty of time for the event. The tuxedo fit perfect. The return was easy peasy as always.

If you want to make it clean and easy for your friends to get set for a tux rental, the black tux is the bomb. You get sized at one of their stores, they ship it to you a week or two ahead of event, and provide the shipping back, so clean and easy!

My son-in-law picked this company for the suits for my daughter and his destination wedding. My husband and I were leaving for Mexcio 8 days before the wedding and I was nervous about it showing up but it came in plenty of time! My husband and my sons fit great, were nice quality and looked so handsome on them! It was super easy to order and super easy to send back!

Have used the black tux twice now for weddings I attended as a guest. Both times the customer service was great. I have lost weight since the first time so my sizes changed a little and when I needed a different size jacket it was sent to me asap and fit perfect. Both tuxedos I rented fit and looked great.

Sister in law’s wedding was a week away and I had procrastinated. Input measurements, clicked a button, tux and accessories arrived 48 hours later. Return process is a cinch. Everything fit well and I got complemented on how nice the tux was.

The absolute best.!!! Suits looked way better than Men's Warehouse (have done several suits from there for other weddings) and of our 12 people ordering tuxes, only one needed to be refitted and still received their tux in a timely manner. I could give them 6 stars if possible. We ended up purchasing our tux because of the amount of compliments my husband got on it. Highly recommend!

My daughter's wedding is in Chicago, I'm living in Florida. I go to Chicago for wedding arrangements and go to "The Black Tux" to get measured. To be honest it took three mailoings to get the jacket sleeve lengths and the pants legs length right.....but they did it just lime they promised they would. I would recommend "The Black Tux" for any formal occasion.

A great tux to celebrate my son’s wedding. Very efficient process especially if sizes were not correct. Really a simple process and very affordable for that special day.

Getting and returning is incredibly smart and easy, which is great. A few guys had to do exchanges and they said it was easy as well. Across our groomsmen we found the jacket sizes to range from way too big to way too small. We expected that jacket sizes would be a fit as we all knew what sized sport coats we wore and gave that info to Black Tux, so this was a surprise and we could not take photos with buttoned jackets without a few of us looking ridiculous.

My 20 and 15 year old tuxedos looked like MC Hammer so wife sent the link to me on a Wednesday for a black tie wedding on a Saturday. Was super skeptical but for less than $700 a high quality, well fit tux was delivered on a Friday. Fit was as good as custom. Highly recommend.

I have to admit I was skeptical when my son told me I would wear a tux at his wedding and it would be rented online. Hassle? Fit? Cost? Return? All these were swimming in my head. None of my skepticism was founded and I had a delightful experience. All the above turned out not to be concerns but pleasant experiences. I only have one child to go marriage wise and I would certainly use and recommend the Black Tux to anyone needing to look good and feel good about the experience.

Black Tux was awesome! Suits were delivered to all groomsman in plenty of time. They even paid for one of us to take it to the dry cleaners because the person before us apparently loved off-brand Axe body spray. Great experience and made everything super easy for everyone.

I had to resize because I gained a little weight after my initial measurements, and the new fits came in within 4 days of ordering! Everything was perfect! I highly recommend The Black Tux!

Made ordering tuxes for the groomsman who were coast to coast super easy. There were a few modifications needed, that got done very quickly, delivery was on time, return was a breeze, overall extremely happy with the service ( plus 50% compared to other companies for better quality).

Suit came exactly when it said it would. All I had to do was hang it up when it arrived and put it back in the same box to send it back. Pre printed return label was already on the box so pretty effortless. Sizing was true.

I needed a tux last minute. The whole process was pretty smooth. Went to Nordstroms, picked out my options, got measured and a week later the tux, shoes, shirt, tie and cuff links show neatly boxed and already in a hanging back. Then when my event was over, I just put in all in the box, applied the return label, and dropped off at UPS.

My son arranged the tux rental for his groomsmen and the fathers of the bride and groom. The only hurdle was getting it sized, I did not want to do it through their website, wanted to try on various coats and pants etc to make sure they fit correctly. So we had to travel 25 miles to the nearest store, The closest store was closed due to the pandemic. But the tux arrive a week before the wedding, the fit was perfect, the fact that I had other events coming up, I ended up purchasing the tux. All went great!!!

This could not have been an easier process. No having to go to a store for measurement, then fittings. My tux as "the father of the bride" came in and fit nicely. It arrived early enough that I could have made a change if I needed too. Return process equally easy with a prepaid shipping label ready directly on the box it came in. My son and I needed a tux for an event with short notice. The Black Tux process was easy and efficient. Both of us needed a few tweaks and The Black Tux quickly sent us the pieces we needed the same day they were requested. Returning the pieces was just as efficient with the pre-labeled shipping boxes. Black Tux was prompt with my order. I had to change the suit coat and vest. The change process was prompt as well. The suit looked good and I was complimented on it several times. I am the grooms father and all of my son’s groomsmen looked great in their Black Tux suits.

The Black Tux made renting simple for our wedding. We had purchased our bridesmaids dresses through David's Bridal partially because we could match the color of my now husband's, groomsmen's, and officiant's ties to the dresses perfectly (color: Cinnamon) for a perfect look without risking the shades not matching. The online rental booking was simple and the ties arrived in plenty of time before the event so we could ensure all items had arrived. They arrived in perfect condition without any flaws or plucked fabric. The Black Tux makes rental return extremely easy by placing the return label right underneath the original shipping label - all you need to do is peel the original shipping label off to reveal the return label! While this is a simple design element, returning all items the day after the wedding can be a bit hectic as you run to different shipping companies and businesses - so we really appreciated this touch! We would strongly recommend renting through the Black Tux to achieve a perfect, matching wedding party look at ease!

It was a great experience once I figured it out , I went to Nordstrom and there is a black Tux top there, he helped me I just need ties they were the only place I could get my color ties, he walked me threw the process and it was awesome. Thanks again.

My husband rented from here as a groomsman once and the process was so easy we decided to rent again as a groom and for our wedding party. They make it so easy- even the men can handle everything necessary to get it to and from the venue and back inside the box to ship back. They're quick to replace something that doesn't fit properly and that is a huge relief for a bride planning a wedding! From start to finish they are simply easy to work with! Highly recommend using The Black Tux if you're planning a wedding!

This was the second time I rented from The Black Tux. Great experience. Tux fit so well I decided to buy the tux rather than return it. Good price!

Easiest tux I ever rented. If you know all your measurements, this is turn key. One minor minor issue and that is the tux needs to be pressed when you get it. That was only $13, but maybe The Black Tux can include a stipend for that since it's delivered wrinkled. But, I'd do it all over again as the process was zero stress.

I must say I was a little skeptical at first with the whole process. My son who got married this past weekend plus 5 others were fully fitted with “The Black Tux products “. Boy was I wrong!! The website was easy to use, our tuxes came in time. The fitting was off a little on my suit so I ordered another one and that one came in less than two days, well before our wedding. Great process from start to finish. You can’t go wrong with the product either. Everyone looked great. Thanks

Mostly a good experience. Make sure to submit sizes online and then book an appointment to get fitted in a store. I did this and it turned out ok (they ended up not having my jacket size available so I had to get a size larger), but all the other groomsman had to send items back to get a correct size. Also, the cummerbund thing they sent me had a broken clasp. Made it work, but sending something that was broken in the package was not a great start.

Suit arrived ahead of estimated shippping date, needed a new sizing (thankfully my pant size decresed since ordering), no questions asked they shipped another with the proper fitting. Everything looked beautiful felt good. Only small weirdness is I was allowed to order a belt while having tuxedo pants, which is my own ignorance rather than their fault. But it all went perfectly, even got refunded for the belt.

I have used the black tux several times for weddings over the years and have always had a great experience. I used them again for the groomsmen for my own wedding. They looked great and there were no issues regarding the timely delivery of their tuxedos. I would recommend the Black Tux for anyone that is looking to rent a tuxedo for themselves or for an entire wedding party.

I had to order suits for my Husband and Grandson for our Son's wedding. I never thought I would be able to make my own measurements on line and have the suits show up and fit properly. But it fit perfectly and it was so simple! So pleased with the service and simple ordering and return directions. The suits showed up in a timely manner so we would have had plenty of time to return and make adjustments but had no need to do so! Great quality garments, I highly recommend!

This was hands down the worst experience we have ever had in a store and or for a fitting. What was supposed to be a special time to get fitted for our wedding turned out to be a brutal lesson in futility and we ultimately did not end up completing the fitting. To start we were running late and I called and spoke to the manager and told her I would be there in 6 or 7 minutes and if that was still ok to which she replied it is not a problem you have an hour long session. When we arrived the only associate that does their fittings was rude and dismissive and told us that he had cancelled our appointment and there was nothing that he could do. When pressed he said he had another appointment in 20 minutes and walked away. This was a lie as his manager told us on the phone and again when we spoke with her afterwards that we indeed did have an hour long appointment. Since we were at Nordstrom's we expressed our frustration and wish to get fitted and we sat there for almost half an hour while they searched for the black tux employee who does their fittings. When he finally came back his attitude was worse and he was combative at the least. He told us again the reasons why he could not help us and then said with attitude that he would measure me but that we would not have time to try anything on. At this point I wanted nothing to do with him and told him that if he had helped us from the beginning given we had already been here for well over 30 minutes that we could have been done and out the door. He then proceeded to yell at us and when we asked for his manager he told us to get her ourselves to which we did. Ultimately, given the poor experience we would never do business with The Black Tux and frankly can't believe that a store like Nordstrom's that prides itself with great service would even allow for a company of this caliber to operate within its walls.

This was my first time attending a black tie event. Wearing a real tux was starting to get a little stressful because I didnt want to look like i was going to prom and wearing a cheap tux. This experience was super easy. and the calculations really worked. The slim style was amazing and i felt very comfortable in it. We needed some resizing so we requested replacements. They arrived within DAYS. I was sooo amazed and just so happy that the process was so easy. Definitely coming back!

Needed a suit for an out of town wedding and the first place I went was Black Tux. I used them 2 years ago for my own wedding and had a great experience. Will use them again in the future!
