The Blackthorn Club

My wife and I held our wedding (ceremony and reception) at the Blackthorn Club and it was absolutely PERFECT!! We couldn't have asked for anything more than what they offered and the service they provided. We held the ceremony out on the veranda; the views were stunning! The decorations, which were very simple and minimal, added to the natural beauty of the club and we feel we couldn't have picked a more lovely spot to say 'I do.' We held the reception in the Pavilion and it, too, was perfect. The decorations, like out on the Veranda, were very simple, but so beautifully elegant and gave us the 'rustic elegance' we were hoping to achieve. Both areas easily accommodated our guests (between 90-100) and provided a relaxed and fun atmosphere. The food was delicious (a Mexican themed, buffet style spread) and added to the very fun and casual atmosphere we wanted. Kudos to the chef (so sorry we cant remember his name :-( ) The Blackthorn staff, led by Ms. Jennifer Garcia, were beyond exceptional! Jennifer not only helped us prepare and organize in the months leading up the wedding, but acted as our wedding coordinator the day of and saw that everything, every last detail, went as we wished. She even made last minute changes and handled last minute requests quickly and efficiently. The rest of the Blackthorn staff were just as dedicated, reliable and efficient. They worked diligently to make sure things ran smooth. The drinks flowed and the food never ran out. Tables were cleaned soon after guests were finished with their food and no one's needs went unmet (honestly though, I don't know if anyone needed anything, we already had it all thanks to the staff!). Staff were respectful and polite, and even got involved in the festivities some, dancing and conversing with guests as they worked. Katie and I highly recommend the Blackthorn Club, and we cant thank them enough for all they gave and did for us!
