o cut and plate the desserts- our caterer was an outdoor pizza truck and had no idea, and we didn't know to inform them of this detail. Luckily a family member had brought a knife for the cake and cut everything else as well. Otherwise, communication was great, and the desserts were so delicious.

her the design we wanted for the cake, she was genuinely excited to create it for us (whereas other bakeries acted as though it was a bother to create the design for us). She was also one of the few bakeries that actually wanted to place the fresh flowers on the cake herself, rather than have the florist do it, which we loved...because, after all, it is the bakery bringing the design to life! Laura was very patient and went through every single detail on the cake with us to make sure they made it exactly as we requested. She even told us where we could save some money on the design we had chosen, and the pricing was right on point for the quality of cake we received! On the big day, our wedding cake was BEAUTIFUL! The buttercream exterior was SO smooth, and we loved getting such a sleek elegant finish without using fondant! And last, but certainly not least, the cake itself was DELICIOUS!
We also used the Blue Owl to make our groom's cake for the rehearsal dinner. It was not an easy task that we gave them - a 3D replica of my husband's truck, with him in his military uniform and me in a dress with a computer, tool box, etc. in the bed of the truck. It turned out so cute and my husband was very surprised and impressed by it. The only thing I would do differently - pay the extra money for Blue Owl to deliver the groom's cake. We thought we could take it by ourselves since it wasn't a large cake, but you don't realize how fragile it is, especially when driving through roads in the city.
Overall, we had a wonderful experience and highly recommend using the Blue Owl for your wedding cake needs!!

ssert was from. One of the great things about the Blue Owl is that two staff members came to set up everything on pretty, tiered stands and they cut everything. Some of the desserts are difficult to cut (i.e. Levee High Apple Pie!), but the staff knows how many small slices to cut, so all guests can try a couple different items. Some of our favorites: Gooey Butter Cheesecake, Chocolate Cake, Carmel Pecan Levee High Apple Pie and the Carrot Cake was divine! The best part was that they put a to-go box with a little slice of everything for my husband and I to have later! Great service and mouth-watering desserts!!
