the leaves were just starting to change. We worked with Sonya at The Boathouse on the planning and logistics, and she was fantastic. Sonya answered all of our questions, and she always did so promptly. She was patient with us and very accommodating of changes that we wanted to make. One thing that was really helpful with The Boathouse was that the venue also handled the catering, so there was one less vendor to worry about. The food was fantastic, both cocktail hour and the main courses, and they even arranged for us to have hot dogs for our guests at the end of the night. I can’t imagine having gotten married anywhere else!!

. We got so many compliments on the view during happy hour and how nice the venue was throughout and after the wedding, and the outdoor photos we took before the ceremony are so special! Sonya and her team helped us each step of the way to curate our dream wedding experience - from the table setups to the signature cocktails. The servers, bartenders, staff made our reception just what we wanted. Our bridal attendant Becky was so hands on and helped with whatever we needed, even when I was having a dress malfunction! She anticipated our needs and made sure we always had drinks in our hands, and brought out a bunch of food at the end for us to take home and enjoy, and couldn't have been more sweet and attentive! The food and drinks were another part that people couldn't get enough of. We heard "the best food at any wedding I've ever been to" and "I couldn't stop eating at cocktail hour". The drinks were so delicious as well - the bartenders were very good at their jobs and everyone loved them. We would definitely recommend this venue for any couple who wants a romantic and classic vibe for their wedding. It is a picturesque, beautiful location that you won't regret making part of your big day.

od since most of my guests were Indian. Sonya, the event coordinator, was an incredible point of contact. Very responsive to my e-mails and texts, right on time, and even offered to pass out sparkling cider to our guests when she saw there was nothing to do a toast with. She was very attentive to all our guests needs- my sister-in-law needed to store her breast milk in a fridge and she was quick to respond to her request. Prices are very reasonable considering what all is included. Can't recommend this venue enough.

Our day of coordinator, Christina, was on top of every detail and was wonderful to us. So appreciative of the Boat house staff and all the efforts that made our wedding a success!

ghout the entire process. Our wedding that happened on 6/19/21 was absolutely beyond amazing. The newly renovated reception space is incredibly beautiful. Our ceremony needed to be moved inside last minute due to rain and the staff worked so hard to make the changes as quickly as possible. It was absolutely beautiful inside for the ceremony and the reception. The food was out of this world and we have not stopped receiving compliments from our guests about our wedding at Boathouse. The Boathouse exceeded everything we ever expected our wedding to be. My husband and I would recommend them over and over again. If you’re looking for a venue on the water with multiple photo opportunities, absolutely amazing staff, delicious food, and just an overall beautiful environment, this is the place to host your wedding.

We actually had numerous guests tell us it was the best food they've ever had at a wedding. Sonya was extremely helpful in answering any questions I had - no detail was too small. She thought of everything and allowed us to visit the venue multiple times for creative ideas. Our only complaint is that the day went by too fast!!!!!

I truly can not thank the team enough! The food was amazing, the decor was stunning but the staff truly goes above and beyond to ensure your day is everything you could possibly imagine. s. Our appetizers were not replenished by the caterer although we paid for refilling of the appetizers. We had to climb up onto the very high framing of the gazebo to decorate where the ceremony will take place ourselves. This is both a liability to the boat house at Mercer County Park venue and it was a danger to us. No one was available to help us decorate the plain wooden frame at the gazebo from the venue. We paid for a maître d’ to organize the food service and a coordinator for the wedding and neither of them we’re available during the appetizer hour. Guests were asking me as mother of the bride for plates and forks because they had run out and they weren’t replenished! I had to go find the one waitress that was serving 100 people at appetizer hour out on the balcony and ask her for plates and forks and she seemed very surprised and UNAWARE that there was a need. When the brides family arrived at our table it was incorrectly set and we were short Settings by the boathouse at Mercer County Park venue. We had to stand and wait for them to put more chairs and settings at our table? The bride had given them a very detailed list of how many people were planned for each table well in advance. This was more than awkward for the mother, father, siblings and officiate at the wedding to stand and wait for chairs to be placed. It made people feel as though they weren’t planned for at that table by the bride and groom and the bride‘s family. The venue started to clean up a full 30 minutes before the end of the wedding. Exactly at the time that the wedding was to end 4 o’clock everything was already cleaned up the room was completely empty and most of our guest had left because they felt uncomfortableOnce the cleaning started 30 minutes early . .💥 I sent a letter to the owners of landmark venue and received no response at all to my concerns. 💥 The bride and groom picked up their cake top and received no request for feedback, no good wishes. They were just handed the cake without any courtesy for their choosing to use the boat house at Mercer County Park for the venue ✔️Every celebration should be honored with respect, service, faithful compliance with what was in the contract, a coordinator who is available at the rehearsal, at the wedding and who asked for feedback in a constant effort to make the boathouse at Mercer County Park the best venue ever.✔️✔️✔️ If you want service, professionalism, And faithfulness as to the contract that you signed and what you would be receiving go somewhere else. ng day. First of all, for our ceremony rehearsal we had a staff member who was not our wedding coordinator and could care less how the rehearsal went or any of the details. The staff member who was suppose to guide us through our rehearsal was 30 minutes late to the rehearsal. Luckily our Pastor was extremely organized and ran the entire rehearsal ceremony himself. The day of the wedding we were assigned a maitre d' who we never worked with before and did not know any of the details of our wedding. Neither my coordinator nor maitre d' knew our processional order, although we sent it weeks in advance. My bridal party and I were checking times and were the ones to line up and say it is time to go down. During the cocktail hour my husband and I were taking photos. However we were never asked if we wanted any of the cocktail hour food. One of my bridesmaids brought us a plate from the cocktail hour, none of the staff did, staff didn't even ask us. Apparently my mother said during the cocktail hour the food was running low and the staff was extremely slow to replenish it (I'm sure intentionally to save money on their end). My mother had to ask the staff to replenish plates during the cocktail hour as well. When it was time for the reception one of our tables was missing a seat and plate, although we sent table arrangements and number of people at each table way in advance to the staff. During dessert they would not refill the Venetian desserts, although they promised me in advance everything would be refilled on multiple occasions. I barely saw our coordinator after we were introduced at the reception. However my bridesmaid did see she was meeting with other couples (to sell them on getting married there) during our reception in the side office. It is extremely unprofessional and disrespectful to meet with other couples to sell them on the venue during our wedding reception and event. This "coordinator" was assigned to our wedding and was suppose to make sure our wedding reception went well, she was not suppose to meet with other couples during it! I honestly felt we could of gone without the maitre'd (which was $250 extra) and wedding coordinator assigned by the venue and the wedding day would of gone the same. I luckily had an extremely helpful and hands on bridal party and all my other vendors were very very organized. Also the staff started cleaning up tables and putting things away 20-30 minutes before the event ended! We paid for those last 20-30 minutes, so it is not right for them to do that!!! One last thing, the staff at the boathouse does not dress professionally at all. They were wearing tight leggings and a scarf on my wedding day, which just is not professional. Several of my bridal party even commented how they were dressed too casual and it was unprofessional. The Boathouse is a wedding "mill" trying to cram in as many weddings and events as possible at their venue to make money. Before the wedding, for months we went over every detail with them extensively, but they only followed about half of those instructions on the day of the wedding. By the wedding day we had paid them for everything and I felt they really made MINIMAL effort the day of the wedding.

We did not have to worry about a single thing at the venue because Sonya already had it taken care of. The food was amazing (and hot) as heard from all of our guests, with many saying the salad during the reception was the best they had ever had. The Boathouse, their attentive staff, our maitre d Erin, and Sonya all worked incredibly hard to make our big day the most special and perfect wedding we could ever have imagined.

From touring the venue for the first time to leaving after our reception everything was perfect! We were able to customize anything and everything we could think of which was SO important to us! The Boathouse really makes your wedding for and about you!

with the absolute beauty of the venue- from the amazing location on the lake and long romantic aisle, to the gazebo where we read our vows, to the simplistic elegance of the ballroom. Our on site ceremony read like a fairytale with rows of white chairs and beautiful flowers lining the long dramatic aisle leading to the beautiful lake backdrop. Our cocktail hour space flowed onto the deck where there were more high-top tables for people to hang out and take pictures with the sunset. From the beginning when we were just looking at venues Sonya (the director of events) was amazing, answering any and all questions promptly and in great detail. After booking our date I would email Sonya often with random questions and she was always easy to deal with. Even during those hectic bride moments dealing with outside vendors and a million other things she was reassuring and always in control. I couldn't have asked for anyone better! We met and went over even the tiniest of details, from where I wanted every single item to how I wanted the night to flow, and let me tell you she nailed it. Everyone from the wait staff to the bar tenders were professional, helpful, and extremely friendly. We held a cocktail reception which was amazing! Everyone knows the best food of the night is during cocktail hour which is why we had three additional stations extend into the reception. The food choices are endless and absolutely delicious they even include a signature drink of your choosing (I went with a strawberry margarita) to be past out throughout the night in addition to the open bar. Our wedding had a lot of working parts including a great deal of decor (signs, table settings, lighting, etc), an ice cream truck that came during our Viennese dessert hour, a sparkler send off, as well as a candy bar and hot pretzel station that needed to be set up for when our guests exited. Sonya and her team made it look easy! My husband and I could not have been happier. It was truly the wedding of our dreams and I am so thankful we found The Boathouse!

We had our wedding in the winter due to my husband’s travels, but we ended up getting heaters so we could still utilize the deck, and it was PERFECT. People went in and out all night and were able to get the views of the lake, smoke some cigars, get some fresh air, etc. the ballroom is spacious, but intimate at the same time which is what we wanted. The servers, food, bar tenders, etc., were absolutely amazing. We received so many compliments on the cocktail hour food as well as the dinner food. We also received compliments on the servers - they were attentive, active, and always smiling and friendly. My wife’s family is Italian and they are still raving about the Italian food we had. The location is SO ideal. We had venue privacy and did not have to have our family drive out to the middle of nowhere to achieve this (we really didn’t want a hotel set up where random people could try to sneak in or just be in the way). Parking was so easy and there is plenty of it. The lake is gorgeous as well. We rented heaters so our guests could go outside and enjoy the view (our wedding was in November) and everyone who went outside said they felt warm and that it was a nice touch. My family and friends all traveled for this event and everyone keeps telling me how worth it it was to fly halfway across the country and that they just had such an amazing time. From the Bride: Sonya and her staff have a way of making you feel like you are the most important person in the world. I travel for work and as such have quite a bit of status with hotels/ airlines. Needless to say I know and am used to receiving excellent and personalized service. Sonya went ABOVE AND BEYOND. She made me feel like I was her daughter and that this was the only wedding she was planning. I am - let's say.. a hands on person - and I completely trusted Sonya and her team with everything. I had my floral, decorations, favors etc dropped off and Sonya had everything set up and laid out beautifully. When I spoke with her at one point about how I would like things set up / decorations laid out - I said “You’re the expert, do what you think is best!” The staff at the Boathouse have so much expertise, they know what looks amazing and I can truly say I have no disappointments or regrets about our reception. The last few days before our wedding were so crazy and it was such a relief knowing that I was in good hands with the Boathouse. They are just so so so amazing I cannot say enough wonderful things about the service, staff, location and food. Sidenote - Our wedding guests all come from varied backgrounds and everyone had an amazing time. We had people there who had never been north of the Mason Dixon to people who have never left the tri-state. Everyone, seriously - everyone is still talking about this event and how much fun they had. If we can offer any advice to an engaged couple it is to hire professionals and know that you will not be disappointed if you choose to book The Boathouse at Mercer Lake.

legance of the room. It was exactly the right amount of not-too-formal but still upscale that we wanted for our summer wedding. We were happy to hear some glowing reviews of the Boathouse from friends, and they weren't wrong. The package included a bridal suite, catering, the cake, a full open bar, tables, chairs, linens, and even menus! The food was EXCELLENT, and the whole day went off without a problem. We were blessed with perfect weather to enjoy the cocktail hour out on the deck and enjoy the full view of the sunset over the lake through the glass windows in the reception room. It was truly the perfect day. My only (small) complaint is that the Boathouse changed our coordinator three times throughout our planning process, finally landing on the one who ended up actually doing our wedding only a couple of months before the actual day of our wedding. This made the planning process slightly more difficult for us, since many details were lost in the transition between coordinators and left us feeling like we weren't fully being communicated with. Overall, it was still the perfect place for us to have our wedding and we would still recommend the Boathouse to our friends. Thank you Boathouse!

nd a half since we booked our venue, we got stuck with FOUR different planners. None of them talked among each other. Details often had to be repeated. No one answered emails in a timely manner, and no one picked up the phone there, period. If me or my husband wanted info, we had to go to the Boathouse and ask. That’s incredibly inconvenient when planning a wedding. Sonya, our final planner, was cold and detached. She showed no enthusiasm for the wedding and provided very little in terms of guidance. My husband and I would be told things, not just by Sonya, for months, only to find out they weren’t the case days before the wedding. In the end, we were corresponding with Sonya and yet someone ELSE and receiving the same email from them both. The wedding was perfect, but that was hardly due to the staff. It’s a great venue for sure, but if I had to get married all over again, I’d choose somewhere else with a warmer, more helpful, CONSISTENT staff.

The space is beautiful and the park is lovely for pictures. The staff was attentive and were always happy to help in any way they could. There is only one wedding at a time, so your party has the whole space. Wedding planning can be stressful, but the Boathouse team ensured a beautiful day for me, my husband, and our loved ones.

She was clear and quick with responses and really made it a stress free experience both before and throughout our wedding day. Being on the water made the ceremony a lot cooler on a super hot day, which we were all very thankful for. We also love that since it’s a public park we can go back and visit the gazebo every year on our anniversary. Such a magical venue!

flawless. As the bride, I had wine and cheese waiting for me before the ceremony. They also made sure I did not see my groom until the ceremony. During cocktail hour hors d'oeuvres and drinks were sent to the bridal suite for myself, the groom, and the bridal party. The buffet lines were not long during the reception. Everyone complimented the food, especially the BBQ station. As the bride and groom, we had 3 plates of buffet food on our table waiting for us. Our water and wine glasses were always filled. Everyone working there had a smile on their face and was very accommodating to needs, especially my gluten allergy. They were able to make as many food items gluten free for me as they could. Sonya and Daniella were always there to help. They answered every email and phone call promptly to get us what we needed. We had an incident where there was a boat race was happening and spectators were refusing to leave the ceremony/picnic area and Sonya went above and beyond to make sure the area was cleared for us. We cannot say enough about how great of a job Sonya did to make sure we were never stressed and had everything we could possibly need or want for our special day. We highly recommend this venue.

he view was truly stunning. Our cocktail hour was out on the deck, and the set up was perfect for our wedding of 100 people. The food during both the cocktail hour and reception was excellent. The ballroom was a great size for our wedding, and offered beautiful views of the lake. We also did a dessert station with cakes and waffles and ice cream, which was a huge hit with our guests. Our guests are still raving about everything, from the breathtaking view from the deck, to the quality and quantity of food. We worked with Lindsay, Daniela, and Sonya who were all extremely responsive to emails, answered any questions we had, and did everything they could to accommodate our requests. Our Maitre'd, Alex, was absolutely fantastic. He was extremely attentive at both the rehearsal and wedding, and frequently checked in on us, the bridal party, and our vendors to make sure we had everything we needed. Our bridal attendant, Alyssa, was also amazing, and took wonderful care of us that night. We highly recommend the Boathouse for you wedding or next event!!

(We had 100 guests on a Sunday, ceremony onsite, plated dinner with no additions around $17,500) TLDR; Book here if you want to plan your wedding with a responsive, professional staff in a lovely ballroom with lots of natural light. -- Our wedding was Sunday October 1st, 2017 at 3pm- we booked this venue for both the ceremony and the reception in early December of 2016. Our onsite coordinator was Daniela Composto, and she is an absolute dream to work with! She thoroughly explained what the venue could offer and was incredibly flexible about customization. After visiting our other top choices in the area we knew this was the place. Over the last year she really helped us as we refined what we wanted from the day. When we weren't 100% satisfied with the appetizers we tried at our tasting, she arranged for us to attend a second tasting, where we not only tried new appetizers but also different entrees and cocktails. On the day of, the food and the cocktails were absolutely delicious!! (The staff had appetizers and champagne waiting for us in the bridal suite after the ceremony, and they made sure we had a little undisturbed time to eat our entrees during the reception.) From start to finish The Boathouse at Mercer Lake and their staff far exceeded our expectations in service. The venue itself is absolutely gorgeous. We could not possibly have been more taken care of during the planning phase and on the day of the wedding. I would absolutely book an event here again.
