Guests went on and on about of beautiful, simple and classy it was! If you want a beautiful perfect day with no stress, this is the place! And all their food is delicious, and don’t have the stress of finding a caterer!  We already had our hearts set on the boathouse after attending a friends wedding there. Amanda went above and beyond with her kindness, flexibility, and personalized service-she made us feel like our wedding was top priority and even helped make our dream of having our four -legged baby as our ring bearer come true. The food was phenomenal, which our guests still talk about. Everything was beautifully presented and delicious. The day ran seamlessly, thanks to the team’s organization and professionalism. We were able to relax and truly enjoy every moment. We also appreciated the great value — so much was included in the packages, making planning easy. The personal touches, like the take-home bag with food and wine, made the night even more special. We couldn’t have asked for a better experience — a dream venue in every way!

oordinator, was fantastic and really showed how much she cared about us. The food was incredible. We also had our rehearsal dinner at the restaurant, and it was great. My husband and I are so grateful for everyone that helped make our day perfect. A very special shoutout to Kevin, the owner of the Boathouse. My dad loved you so much, Kevin. Thank you for keeping the Boathouse going and for the unwavering support from you and your amazing wife. I highly recommend having a wedding here. Everything about this place is incredible. From my parents meeting back when it was Sundays, their engagement, releasing my balloons after my dad’s funeral, then to my wedding - words can’t describe how full my heart is.

r budget. Bonnie let us know they had a location at Sunday Park with a more affordable price for our date. We toured other locations that day but didn’t have time to go to Sunday Park. One month later, we decided to go and check out Sunday Park and WE IMMEDIATELY FELL IN LOVE. We knew we had to have our reception there. I could speak hours about how magical the venue is (outdoor gardens, patio, architecture, lighting, waterfront views, etc). I have always loved to watch sunsets by the ocean/river/lake and this was a highlight of our wedding day! Amanda was our point of contact during the organization and also our onsite coordinator the day of the wedding. We didn’t have a wedding planner and even though we highly recommend having one, we were very satisfied with how everything turned out. We were able to pick our favorite color for the table cloths and lines at no extra charge, they had our favorite cider (boldrock) in the beverage package, they accommodated all our food requests and even had non-alcoholic cider for the toast for some of our guests. Amanda guided us through all the planning with a template they had and helped us built our timeline! The day of the wedding, she made sure we were fed with delicious food ( hushpuppies and crab dip were top!!!!) and Amanda even helped with my wedding dress bustle!!!!!! Nobody could find it and it was time for our first dance but Amanda was there to help!!! Signature drink mojito was great and refreshing for our summer wedding. Our guest were very happy and some said it was one of the best weddings they had been too. On top of all of this, I need to mention we are not local to the Richmond area and Amanda helped us working around our full-time work schedules in order to meet with her either virtually or in person at very convenient times for us. We are beyond grateful for having chosen this venue! Really looking forward to coming back to eat here and who knows, many celebrating one of anniversaries here in the future!

e to remind us of upcoming tastings, outstanding tasks from linens to food options, and answer all of our questions, big and small, right up to the wedding day itself. We also appreciate Amanda communicating with our vendors and wedding coordinator to make sure everyone was on the same page. The Boathouse was a lovely spot for a wedding of about 100 people as well as a band. The outdoor ceremony space is a beautiful sight when the sun is out, and the quality of the venue helped convince us to go forward with an outdoor ceremony. We lucked out and had perfect weather for our day, but there was an option for an indoor ceremony setup if necessary as well as a tent covering outdoor seating on the pavilion. This provided much needed peace of mind in case of inclement weather, and it was nice to have both indoor and outdoor spaces where guests could hang out. We upgraded our dinner menu to the surf and turf option and thought it was well worth it; the filet mignon and lobster exceeded expectations and were a big hit among our guests. Throughout the evening, Liz and the rest of the Boathouse staff were just so friendly and helpful--they contributed greatly to the cheerful atmosphere of our day. We highly recommend the venue for both the ceremony and reception, and we truly felt supported by the Boathouse Team every step of the way.

ured, and my Husband and I FELL IN LOVE with the waterfront view of Swift Creek Reservoir, as well as there beautiful garden ceremony space with a large garden pavilion building which was a perfect space for our 80+ guests. We wanted our wedding planning to be easy and stress-free, so when we found out they were all inclusive (included tables, chairs, linens, china, glassware, and flatware) we jumped on it ASAP. From the first meeting to the last and till our big day, The Boathouse was truly the best experience hands down! They were so persistent on emails and were so detailed with everything. It made our planning so much easier, knowing someone is looking over your big day and making sure everything it going according to plan. Our day of coordinator (also included) Amanda was AMAZING! I felt so bad for sending emails after emails, and making changes but she was so professional and patient throughout the entire process. When our big day came, we ended up with a new coordinator named Kristan. Even though Kristan wasn't there for our planning, she made my day even better, Kristan was so attentive and kind. She literally came and checked on me multiple times to see if I needed anything. She felt my vibes and helped out where she could. PLEASE GIVE THIS GIRL A RAISE! (Thanks for the texting about my (fake) ring Kristan!) Overall, We received so many compliments on our wedding space, from the waterfront to the garden, most of our guest couldn't believe they were in Midlothian,Virginia. The Boathouse at Sunday Park was the best decision we made throughout our wedding planning. Everything from what it includes and the straight up professionalism that comes with it. ordinator, the staff was incredible, and on top of all that it was affordable! On my wedding day, my coordinator was the point of contact for all my vendors and she made sure all of our decor was set up before we even arrived. My now husband and I got to spend the entire day really enjoying every moment because the staff took great care of everything. Our guests also loved the venue and many said our reception had some of the best food they had ever had at a wedding. Definitely book a tour, this is a really special venue.

a venue that included food and alcohol and the boathouse did not disappoint. We went with a cocktail style reception with a variety of small plates and stations which was a huge hit with our guests. All of the staff was extremely kind, welcoming and attentive to not only us as a couple but to our family and friends as well. Amanda Hurley was professional, organized and wonderful to work with. I had minimal stress throughout the entire planning process. 10/10 would recommend!

o no need to have guests drive elsewhere. This venue was the most affordable option for us as well. Any food not eaten by the end of the night they will send home with you. The day-of coordinators are phenomenal and take all of the stress out of the set up and take down process. Some of my favorite pictures were taken down by the water at sunset! I highly recommend at least taking a tour of this venue!
